This property is absolutely amazing..super clean and was quiet and beautiful home.and property. We will stay again when in area if available. Thank you to.our host who.cam.down and met us and made sure we had all we needed.
"The Woods" Lodge is in a lively location just a few minutes outside of Nelson. The beds were clean and comfy, and having a kitchen and BBQ on site saved us a ton of money vs having to go out for meals all the time. We'd definitely stay here again.
Great property on a beautiful setting in the woods. The pool table was a favorite amenity. Location was a perfect jumping point for outdoor activities and ventures. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating.
It is a beautiful secluded chalet surrounded by nature and lots of things to do in and around the property. The best part is definitely the private beach and owners are super friendly and did their best to accommodate any requests. Would love to go back again.
The “lodge” was fabulous! Just a bit outside Nelson and perfect spot to stay while exploring the Nelson area. John and Lane were so nice and informative. We took a dip in Kootenay lake from the beach on the property and slept well in comfy beds.
Listen, this property is legitimately amazing. Everything you could want, the host is wonderful, it's truly a beautiful setting and close to Nelson and Valhalla... It was perfect for us!
Owners were away during our stay but their parents were available for anything we needed. Were very kind in offering bear spray and telling us the best way to get down to the private beach
This property is wonderful! The wood stove gets the place blazing hot during the winter and the hot tub overlooking the river is amazing. The owner was very communicative and I would highly recommend this place to EVERYONE!
We had a great time. Loved the views! Enjoyed the big dining table and the pool table. It was very hot when we were there and fire ban was on. We had the little beach all to ourselves and hanging out in the water was great.
We really enjoyed our time here. Lots of space for the kids to play and plenty of room for the adults as well.
We were worried about no AC in July in Nelson but because of all the big trees it stayed nice and shaded and the house was cool.
Great communication with the owners.
6 family members from three generations stayed for 4 nights. Feels spacious and with lots of comfort features. And even though it was some of the hottest days of the summer, the evenings and nights cooled down wonderfully. Serene views and great to sit out at any time just enjoying nature and the mountains.
We had such a wonderful time here- the lodge was the perfect space for all of us. We were all able to sit down to enjoy our meals at the large table. The pool table and dart board were fun for all of us. We spent hours hiking and exploring and the beach and lake was perfect spot to cool off. We will definitely be back to make more wonderful memories. Thank you so much.
Enjoyed our time in the lodge. Important to note that the house is not close to the water and has a very steep trail to get to the waterfall and water. This was fine for us, but could be a challenge for anyone with mobility challenges. The waterfall and water a beautiful when you get there though!
the hike to the lake was not what we expected, thought it would be closer to the lodge.
it was good, loved the property...just disappointed in the hike to to the lake. the beds were not great...no window in the main floor bedroom. we did enjoy the experience, first time.
