Lodge in "The Woods Nelson" with Lake Views

Watch the sun rise over the mountains, then walk through the forest on the property to access the private beach on Kootenay Lake. Hitting the slopes? You’re not far–Whitewater Ski Resort is a 30-minute drive. In the evening, soak in the hot tub or lounge by the fire. Stay connected if you need to with Starlink Wi-Fi. The space
Welcome to The Woods!

The lower floor of the lodge has an open concept kitchen, dining, living, and recreation space. The kitchen is small but fully equipped with all of the supplies you’ll need, plus spices. Windows line the dining area wall. Take in the views as you eat at the large farm style dining table. Unwind at the end of the day by the wood stove in the living room. For your entertainment, the space also features a TV with Apple TV (Netflix provided), games, a pool table, and a dartboard.

The downstairs bathroom has a shower. Right next to the bathroom, you’ll find a washer and dryer.

The upstairs bathroom contains a freestanding clawfoot tub (wonderful for soaking in after a long day of adventures) and a shower.

A multi-use space, perfect for yoga, is available upstairs upon request.

Sleeping arrangements:
• Main floor bedroom: 1 Queen sized bed. Please note: this room does not have windows, making it a great choice for light-sensitive people.
• Upstairs bedroom 1: 1 Queen sized bed.
• Upstairs bedroom 2: 1 Queen sized bed.
• Upstairs bedroom 3: 2 double beds and 1 single day bed. Well suited for children or multiple couples.

The third bedroom has a desk and chair in front of a sun-filled picture window. It’s an ideal place to work.

Directly behind the lodge, you’ll find your dedicated outdoor space. A large back yard and fire pit awaits you. It’s the best venue for enjoying the picturesque setting, day or night.

In the lodge backyard is a 7-person hot tub overlooking the mountains and lake. Take in the sights as your stress seeps away. Please note that this amenity is shared with the other dwellings on the property.

From the lodge, you can hear the sound of a nearby creek, meander along the property’s many pathways, and catch an occasional glimpse of roaming elk, deer, and even turkeys. A 10-minute walk through the forest takes you to a secluded beach on the shores of Kootenay Lake.

Our property is privately positioned with no neighbours in sight. The lodge is, however, adjacent to two other dwellings on our property. We make every effort to ensure your privacy.

The lodge is dog friendly. Guidelines for dogs are as follows:
• Please do not leave your dog unattended in the lodge (unless crated) or tied up outside
• Please do not allow your dog to roam the property unattended
• Pet fee applies

Guest access
The entire Lodge and surrounding outdoor space.
In the winter months, we strongly recommend a vehicle with snow tires and AWD, as our driveway is steep.

Other things to note:
For your safety and ours, external security cameras are installed on the side of the Lodge. These cameras monitor the driveway of the property only and do not cover any private areas such as the interior.

The property contains 2 other dwellings which are also rented out on VRBO. Each rental group has their own autonomous space and privacy.
- All 3 dwellings can be rented individually or as a group
- In total the property has 14 beds and can sleep up to 24 people
- We are open to inquiries about retreats and small weddings
