Arriving via a winding gravel driveway beneath established oak trees, Holly Cottage immediately reveals its late 1800s stone façade, original masonry and timeless country charm. The historic exterior has been thoughtfully preserved, while modern updates ensure comfort throughout.

Inside, the living spaces celebrate the home’s heritage bones — high ceilings, thick stone walls and traditional proportions create a sense of warmth and permanence. The ornate combustion fireplace forms the heart of the cottage, perfect for cosy winter evenings with firewood supplied. Multiple sitting areas invite slow mornings with a Nespresso in hand, afternoons curled up with a book by the window, or relaxed evenings enjoying a film.

The light-filled kitchen blends old and new beautifully, fully equipped with an oven, induction cooktop, fridge, freezer and microwave. It offers everything needed for leisurely country cooking. Prepare a hearty breakfast before exploring the Hills, or cook a slow dinner to enjoy at the dining table while conversation lingers late into the evening.

The king bedroom features vintage-wash linens, a full ensuite, and hanging and shelf space for convenience. The second bedroom includes a single bunk and a convertible desk space, ideal for reading or quiet reflection. There are two bathrooms, each with a shower and toilet, blending functionality with comfort. Heated towel rails add a welcome touch of indulgence in cooler weather, while a washing machine and hairdryer are also available.

Outdoors, the experience is equally special. A covered verandah overlooks established gardens, while multiple seating areas encourage you to wander, pause and reconnect with nature. A small creek meanders through the property, enhancing the tranquil atmosphere and inviting guests to slow down and listen to the sounds of the countryside. A barbecue is available for alfresco meals, and onsite parking accommodates two vehicles.

This property is not equipped with wifi and service for some phone providers can be intermittent (though reception is available outside the cottage).

It is important to note that this property is in a bushfire area and guests should ensure they take note of any area bushfire warnings, particularly over the summer months. A small tub of firewood will be provided to get your fire started; however, please bring your own wood for use.

The property has a small creek that runs through, so please be mindful of small children in the outdoor space.
Please treat the our home as if it were your own. Kindly leave the property in a tidy condition upon departure. Unexpected additional cleaning cost will be forwarded to you.

$200AUD cleaning/deodorising fee charged if guest is found to have been smoking in the property.

CHECK OUT: Check out strictly at 10AM. Additional charges will be incurred for our cleaners time if not vacant upon their arrival. We charge $30AUD for the first 30 minutes, and $60AUD for every 30-minutes after this.

LOST KEYS/LOCKOUTS: Please keep the property key with you all the time during your stay. Lost key/emergency key delivery charges will be $180AUD plus key replacement fee or cost of a locksmith.

LOST PROPERTY: For any items left behind - the host will hold the item for a maximum of 30 days from check-out date after which time they will be considered abandoned and disposed of or donated. During the 30 day collection period, collection can be arranged by way of the guest providing a prepaid postage bag to a supplied address or the item can be collected in person at an agreed time and location.
