About this property

Lakefront Cottage w/ Hot Tub & Starlink Near Bobcaygeon | Good Luck Sunset

There’s a reason people come back to the cottage year after year.

It’s not just the lake.
It’s how life feels when you’re here.

Good Luck Sunset is a relaxed, waterfront family cottage on Green’s Lake — designed for slow mornings, full days outside, and evenings that naturally end around the fire as the sun disappears across the water.

Just two hours from Toronto, this four-season retreat comfortably welcomes families and close friends looking to reconnect, recharge, and enjoy cottage country the way it’s meant to be experienced.

The Experience

Wake up to calm water and quiet trees instead of alarms and traffic.

Coffee tastes better on the deck while the lake lifts its morning mist. Kids head outside before breakfast. Paddleboards drift across still water. Afternoon swims turn into sunset conversations, and nights end in the hot tub beneath a sky full of stars.

This isn’t a resort and it isn’t a party house.

It’s a comfortable, easy place to live well for a while.

Inside the Cottage

Warm, welcoming, and intentionally uncomplicated, the cottage blends classic Ontario charm with modern comforts that make longer stays effortless.

Large windows frame uninterrupted lake views, filling the open living space with natural light throughout the day. Whether you're sharing meals, playing games, or settling in for movie night, the home is designed for togetherness without ever feeling crowded.

Inside you’ll find:

Pool table, foosball & arcade games

Smart TV and cozy lounge areas

Fully equipped kitchen for family meals

Fast Starlink Wi-Fi (perfect for work-from-cottage stays)

Comfortable gathering spaces for all ages

Rainy days become part of the memory — not an interruption.

Sleep & Comfort

With four bedrooms and flexible sleeping arrangements for up to nine guests, everyone has space to unwind after a full day outdoors.

Fresh linens, room-darkening shades, and peaceful surroundings ensure restful nights — the kind you only seem to get at the lake.

Made for Families

Good Luck Sunset was built with families in mind.

Kids have room to explore safely while parents actually get to relax — something every cottage trip promises but rarely delivers.

Family features include:

Outdoor playground & sand area

Toys, books, and indoor games

Crib and pack ’n play available

Spacious yard for play and downtime

Here, screens naturally lose the competition to fresh air.

Outdoor Living — Where Cottage Life Happens

Step outside and you’re fully immersed in the experience.

Private dock with direct lake access

Kayaks, canoe, paddleboards & paddle boat included

Hot tub overlooking sunset views

BBQ and outdoor dining deck

Fire pit for evenings under the stars

Sun loungers for unplanned afternoon naps

Green’s Lake is calm, clean, and ideal for swimming, paddling, fishing, or simply floating without a schedule.

Older kids can dive from deeper water off the dock, while the gradual sandy shoreline offers easy entry for younger swimmers.

Good Luck Sunset is more than a rental for us — it’s a place filled with real family memories.

We originally fell in love with Green’s Lake for its privacy, quiet atmosphere, and the feeling of true cottage country without the crowds. The views, the calm water, and the peacefulness made it the kind of place where mornings naturally start with coffee on the dock and days unfold outdoors with family, games, swimming, and time together.

When we’re here, life slows down. Kids spend the day outside, evenings end watching the sunset over the lake, and even though Starlink makes it easy to check in on work if needed, the goal is usually to disconnect and enjoy the moment.

We maintain the cottage professionally — with dedicated cleaning staff and on-call property management — so guests experience a seamless, resort-like stay. At the same time, we’ve intentionally kept the warmth and authenticity of a true family cottage.

Sharing Good Luck Sunset came naturally. Having worked alongside developers creating homes and communities, we’ve always loved building places where people gather and create memories. This cottage is our small version of that idea — a space designed for families and friends to enjoy time together and leave with their own great memories of the lake.

We hope you feel at home here the moment you arrive.

Why they chose this property

We chose this area because it offers what many people are really looking for in cottage country — a true sense of peace and privacy without feeling remote or difficult to access.

Green’s Lake has an authentic, relaxed cottage atmosphere. The lake is quiet, uncrowded, and surrounded by nature, making it easy to slow down, spend time outdoors, and enjoy the simplicity of lake life. At the same time, the roads are easily accessible year-round, so getting here is straightforward and stress-free compared to more remote cottage areas.

What we love most is the balance. Within five to ten minutes you’ll find everyday essentials including a marina, convenience store, LCBO, gas station, and even a classic summer ice cream stop. When you feel like exploring, the charming towns of Buckhorn and Bobcaygeon are about 25 minutes away, offering restaurants, shops, and that classic Kawartha Lakes small-town vibe.

You get the best of both worlds — quick access to everything you need, while still enjoying the quiet feeling of being fully at the cottage.

What makes this property unique

One of the things that truly sets Good Luck Sunset apart is the waterfront itself.

Unlike many cottage properties that sit on steep or rocky terrain, the land here is flat and open right to the lake. This was incredibly important to us because it allows everyone to fully enjoy the outdoor space together — whether it’s kids playing soccer or frisbee on the lawn, families gathering near the water, or simply relaxing while keeping a clear view of everything happening around you.

From the deck and yard, you can easily see the playground, lawn, and shoreline all at once, creating a rare sense of comfort for parents and grandparents alike. There are no challenging hills or difficult paths to navigate — just a natural, easy transition from cottage to waterfront.

The calm lake, combined with the open sightlines and usable outdoor space, makes it ideal for families. Kids can safely play, swim, and explore while adults relax nearby, enjoying uninterrupted sunset views across the water.

It’s a layout that encourages everyone to be outside together — which, for us, is what cottage life is really about.
