Wonderful experience. Nice cabinet . My teens and young adult enjoy the game room-Perfect location for us as family was 10-15min drive- Pet super friendly . Our Yorkshire loves it .- Only comment was the need to a better housekeeping service- dishwasher full of dirty dishes, no towels , no sheets found three days later in the washing machine still wet- Too many ladybugs in the master room and bathroom , however it was the time of the year where some properties experienced this issue

The overrun of bugs, ladybugs in particular, was my bane of staying at this place. It's a lovely location and building, but the host of this place needs to seal the windows and have quarterly pest control spraying. All day and all night ladybugs crwaled all over the windows, walls, and floors of the place. I killed so many bugs that I should qualify as a pest control technician . Oh yes, the place is in serious need of service to the roof. I cannot count how many past roof leak stains that I visually observed in the ceiling of this place. In addition to that the apparent past roof damage, the right living room window frame is a rotting, crumbling mess due to said water leakage from the roof. As for plumbing, this place has a loose shower head (upstairs bathroom) that turned as I was simply pointing the showerhead towards myself. This undoubtedly is leaking behind the shower wall because it's not fully secure as it should be. The spout is not snug to the showerwall. This too creates a great space for water to leak behind the shower wall and cause significant damage to the structure of the property. I did not say the aforementioned to be a jerk. Instead, I highlighted the issues to hopefull help a fellow property owner keep their place in a safe, healthy, comfortable, and habitable staus. I know what it means to own rentals. I have a few in Texas and it cost big bucks to keep these suckers habitable.

Mixed Feelings
Definitely secluded and quiet with a game room that my family loved while preparing Thanksgiving dinner. However, the issues I had would not have been so bad had they not all occurred in a single stay.
1. I arrived late as I was coming from 3 hours away on a work day. When I arrived, the cleaning crew was still there without notifying me that they were running late. This was at 7:30pm. But, the home was clean, with the exception of the light fixtures.
2. There were no more than a few hand towels out for use. The rest of the towels were in the washer and dryer. Because I wanted clean towels, I decided to go ahead and wash them. The washer was not working. After some trouble shooting, I noticed that the water valves were shut. I opened the valves and the hot water connection was leaking on the washer end. I tried contacting the local host and had to leave a message. He never got back to me (this was the first night of a 3 night stay). I ended up turning off the hot water and washed them in cold water with extra laundry soap that was provided. It was a very long night just to wait for towels.
3. It is that time of year that the lady bugs are seeking shelter. There were so many in the master bedroom that I left the ceiling light and fan off most of the time, for fear that they would land on the bed more.
4. The dishwasher still had dirty dishes from the previous guests.
There is more, but I ran out of space. The host didn't answer texts either. So much for 24/7.
