About this property
The Spot | Absolute Beachfront 70s Home with Amazing Ocean Views!
The Spot is a unique, absolute beachfront home with 70s retro charm. With direct access to the beach, plus the beautiful Wooli Wooli River and epic sand dunes just steps away, it's the perfect base for a classic coastal getaway.
Made for family holidays, The Spot sleeps up to 12 guests (best suited to 8 adults plus children) and includes surfboards, kayaks, boogie boards and fishing gear.
The kind of beach holiday that's becoming harder to find. 🌞 🏄🏽 🛶 🎣 🐚
Inside, you'll find all the relaxed comfort of a true beach shack, mixed with the warmth and character of its original 70s style.
The open-plan living area looks out towards the ocean and features a large, lounge, smart TV and record player for slow afternoons and relaxed evenings after a day at the beach.
The kitchen includes all the essentials for a beach stay, including a stove, oven, microwave, fridge and coffee machine. Please note there is no dishwasher.
There are four bedrooms, including a large bunk room that's perfect for kids, cousins and holiday sleepovers. All bedrooms have ceiling fans, and the main living area is air-conditioned.
Please note that while The Spot sleeps up to 12 guests, the bedding configuration is best suited to families and mixed groups rather than 12 adults. Full bedding details can be found in the listing.
There are two bathrooms (both in good working order) that retain their original, slightly dated charm — part of what makes The Spot so special. There’s also a separate toilet for convenience.
Outside is where The Spot really shines. The backyard opens directly onto the beach, and the deck is the perfect spot for morning coffees, long lunches and sunset drinks. A large outdoor dining table seats up to 10 guests, making it easy to gather together after a day spent surfing, fishing or exploring Wooli.
The Wooli Wooli River is directly across the road, while a vacant block of crown land next door gives kids even more room to play beneath a shady tree.
Guest access Guests have private access to the entire property, including the house, deck, backyard and garage. The garage contains surfboards, kayaks, boogie boards and fishing gear available for guest use. Self check-in is simple with a key code lock, giving you flexibility and convenience on arrival.
There is plenty of parking available on the property for multiple vehicles. To help protect the dunes and keep this beautiful part of Wooli looking its best, we ask that vehicles are not driven or parked on the dunes between the house and the beach.
Other things to note We’ve tried to think of all the little touches that make a beach stay easy and enjoyable. During your time at The Spot, you’ll have access to:
Extra-person charges may apply and vary depending on property policy
Government-issued photo identification and a credit card, debit card or cash deposit may be required at check-in for incidental charges
Special requests are subject to availability upon check-in and may incur additional charges; special requests cannot be guaranteed
On-site parties or group events are strictly prohibited
Host has not indicated whether there is a carbon monoxide detector on the property; consider bringing a portable detector with you on the trip

Thank you so much for our stay at Wooli! The house is in the perfect location & was everything we needed for our multigenerational family vacay. We loved waking up to the sunrise at the beach and fishing all day in the river across the road. The kids loved the little nook with colouring and magnetic tiles and the house was stocked with everything we needed

About the host
Hosted by Marnie Black
We're a family who fell in love with Wooli and everything that makes it special. The Spot has become our happy place, and we're excited to share it with other families looking to slow down, reconnect and enjoy a classic Australian beach holiday. We've lovingly preserved the home's original 70s character while adding the comforts that make a stay easy and relaxing. We hope you'll feel at home from the moment you arrive.
Why they chose this property
Wooli is one of those rare coastal towns that has held onto its relaxed charm. With the beach at your doorstep and the river just a short stroll away, it's the perfect place to swim, surf, fish, kayak or simply unwind. We love the friendly community, beautiful natural surroundings and the slower pace of life. It's the kind of place where kids still ride their bikes, neighbours wave hello and family holidays create lifelong memories.
What makes this property unique
The Spot is an absolute beachfront home where the beach truly is your backyard. Step off the deck and onto the sand, wake to uninterrupted ocean views and fall asleep to the sound of the waves. The home's original 70s design has been thoughtfully celebrated, giving it a warm retro feel that's full of personality while still offering modern comforts. Whether you're gathering with family, enjoying a long lunch on the deck or watching the sunrise over the ocean, The Spot offers a genuine beachfront experience that's becoming increasingly hard to find.
