About the neighbourhood:
Our home sits in a really special part of the world, right between the beaches of South East Queensland and the peaceful countryside of Northern New South Wales. It’s the kind of area where you can spend the morning by the ocean - swimming, surfing, or just walking along quiet stretches of sand, and the afternoon exploring the hills, rainforest tracks, or a little country town.
⠀
About 15 minutes away is Murwillumbah, a friendly, creative town with great cafés, artisan shops, and the Margaret Olley Art Centre, which is always worth a visit. The Tweed River Valley nearby is perfect if you feel like a calm river cruise, a bit of fishing, or simply enjoying the views.
Hosanna Farm and Tropical Fruit World (just 10–12 minutes away) are always a hit with kids, and there are plenty of parks, bike paths, and calm beaches for little ones to explore.
⠀
The Northern Rivers Rail Trail also offers a beautiful, safe space for cycling or long walks through farmland and bushland.
