Check-in was easy, fantastic location. Very comfortable space for the 3 of us. Kitchen was all that we needed for a weekend, but we used it for very basic meals.
This was a perfect pick for three ladies on a girls weekend enjoying the theatre, shopping and great dining downtown. We each had a bedroom and the living room was comfy and cozy for late night chatting. Loved walking through the historic neighborhood and along the river to reach the theatre and downtown. The check-in was seamless.
A group of 5 theatre loving friends stayed for three nights. We loved the location of the property as we were able to walk to downtown and the theatres. The house was clean and tidy with all basic amenities available. The host was very responsive to any questions as well. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Brent was extremely attentive and helpful. The house is lovely and was perfect for our needs. Great location, quiet and a wonderful retreat while visiting Stratford.
This is a lovely little house in a cute, mature treed, friendly and safe neighbourhood. Sleeps 5 if one is a very young person. The twin bed is not very comfortable. But for a family or four friends or two couples it is great. Kitchen works great. Everything as advertised. Clean efficient bathroom. Comfortable linens. A/C WAS GREAT!!!! Shower pressure and hot water were great. Queen beds very comfy. Very close to all theatres and some walking trails. Huge tv screen. This is a nice, comfy, safe place to stay while enjoying all that Stratford has to offer. Nice backyard with gas fireplace. Bbqs. Host communicates well. Clean and safe. Great value!
Lovely neighborhood ,close to the theatres and restaurants. Walked everywhere car stayed in the driveway for the 3 days

We were 4 sisters meeting for a reunion. We strongly felt that this property wasn’t ready for rental for the following reasons:Overall, the place was dirty. Linens were old and poor quality. Kitchen was poorly equipped, not even 4 wine glasses, only 3 windows had screens ( one with a hole) ants in the kitchen on the floors and countertops, no instructions for the TV. We washed the dishes before using them because many of the glasses were dirty. Perhaps Brent could take some time and bring his property up to the expectations for this price. The potential is there. The location was excellent in a peaceful neighbourhood. The outdoor space was lovely and private.

I have to admit, I was genuinely surprised by your review. I’m not taking it personally, but this is my home when it’s not rented out, so I do care about how it’s presented. That said, I have to respectfully disagree with the idea that the house was “dirty.” We use professional cleaners after every stay, and I personally inspected everything before your arrival. The carpets, washroom, kitchen, and even the fridge were spotless. I’ve stayed in rentals all over the world, and honestly, I’d be thrilled to walk into the level of cleanliness we consistently provide—something our other reviews also reflect. Still, I’m sorry it didn’t meet your expectations.
About the TV: I did mention that we don’t have cable and that the TV is set up for streaming apps only. To watch Netflix, Prime, or sports, guests simply log in with their own accounts—pretty standard for most rentals these days. The instructions are basically: turn it on, pick an app, enjoy. Most guests spend their time at Festival shows, restaurants, or exploring the charm of Stratford, so cable TV hasn’t exactly been a deal‑breaker. But again, I’m sorry this wasn’t what you were hoping for.
All dishes were washed before your stay. If there were water spots from air‑drying, I get how that might look, but I promise everything was clean.
As for the windows, not all of them have screens, since we have central air conditioning we would prefer windows to be closed while it’s running.
Ants are… well, ants. They love this time of year. We do our best to keep them—and their friends, the spiders and flies—out of the house, but occasionally one sneaks in. I’m sorry that happened during your stay. I’ll try to negotiate with them to only visit when the place is empty.
Regarding linens: we don’t use brand‑new ones for every guest, but everything is thoroughly washed after each stay. We replace items as soon as they start looking tired, and we’ve recently added new ones to the closet. I’m glad you at least found them clean — small victories.
Cheers,
Brent
Kitchen a little cramped and oddly furnished -- not a usual assortment of pots, plates, etc. Nice neighborhood, family feeling, with neat backyards. The front door handle broke, which made entering and exiting that way impossible, but no big deal. Was there a washer-dryer downstairs? It was locked. We had to go to the laundromat. We refilled the propane on the outdoor grill -- directions for this would have been helpful. On the whole, very satisfactory. We had a good time.

Thanks for the review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay In our home although you experienced some issues.
It is unfortunate that the propane tank needed refilling. This does happen and we would have addressed this for you if we had known.
We attempted to fix the door lock on the same day it was communicated to us, however, no one was home when we arrived and we did not want to enter the premises to attempt a fix without permission to enter. It appears a lock button function on the lock was pushed that kept it from unlocking. All is good now with the lock.
What items did you feel we were missing in the kitchen? We have a 12 pc set of dishes and a collection of pots and pans. It would be helpful for us to know what we can address for future guests.
Cheers
