It had a weird smell in the apartment but overall it was nice and clean. My family and I were comfortable, the host was kind and responded in a timely manner.

When we booked this property we based it off of a 9.4/10 rating and pictures available. We found out the day that we checked in that the reviews giving the 9.4 were “external” reviews and could not be accessed. Our first impression was not wonderful because the unit is on a street with vacant and some run down homes. When entering we were hit with a very strong musty odor. This odor was present every time we entered the unit. The unit was spacious and tidy, and the kitchen was well stocked and tidy, however things did not feel clean. The cold air return next to the kitchen table, is coated in a layer of dirt and dust. The two sofas in the living room are filthy and smell bad when sitting in them. The bedrooms were spacious and were very neat but we found holes in the fitted sheet in one of the upstairs bedrooms, and a stain on the fitted sheet in the lower bedroom. The baseboards and exhaust fans in the bathrooms are very dirty. Right after moving our bags into the unit we drove to Walmart to buy bedding and febreeze to make our stay manageable. We communicated our disappointment in the unit with John and he asked for pictures. We sent them the next day. He agreed that the condition of the sheets is “unacceptable “ and that he would be speaking with his cleaners and would be getting the sofas cleaned. This unit is NOT a 10/10. As is, it’s a 5/10 at best. We are campers and don’t require fancy. Just clean.I hope John makes the improvements he says he will.
