About this property
Cozy Rustic Cabin Pondside - A Couples Getaway Central to Niagara
Escape to Willow Bunkie — a private, heated cabin tucked beside a peaceful pond in Pelham. Ideal for couples seeking a getaway or solo travelers craving nature and simplicity. Enjoy rustic charm with cozy modern comforts, central to many Niagara attractions.
The space
Willow Bunkie is nestled in a line of willow bushes and sits pondside on the far corner of the family property.
Located near the charming town of Fenwick, Willow Bunkie is a cozy retreat where guests can enjoy the rhythms of nature and reconnect with themselves. Use it as a home-base to explore the region or spend the day relaxing.
Inside you'll find:
- Queen bed in the loft
- Kitchenette (Breville toaster oven, mini-fridge, Keurig, kettle, and supplies)
- Board games, books, and Bluetooth speaker.
- A comfy couch (that folds down if needed)
- A quaint table for writing and for washing up.
- Firepit with chairs (1 stack of firewood and kindling included. Additional firewood available)
- BBQ in the summer months
- Clean outhouse
- Bug repellent
Bring your own: Slippers, Journal, Good book, Fishing Rod, and Smore-making kit!
Guest access
Guests have exclusive use of the entire cabin, front porch, fire pit area, and pond area. Free parking is directly in front of the cabin just steps away.
Look for the Willow Bunkie sign from the road directing you down the driveway leading you to the cabin and pond. We will send your access code for entry to the cabin.
Local Amenities
- We provide a number of suggested local coffee shops and spots to shop just minutes from the bunkie.
- A hiking and biking trailhead that goes for miles is just 100 feet from the bunkie. (Gerry Berkhout Trail)
- Centennial Park is located a 10 minute trail walk or 1 minute drive away. Full Playground, Soccer and Baseball Fields and 6 newly installed pickleball courts (Ask us about access to the courts)
Other things to note
The rustic cabin experience comes with the convenience of some modern luxuries:
*Heat*
Our cabin is connected to electricity which will power your heat and lighting. We have included a mini electric fireplace to heat those toes up, but the main source of heat is the base heater. You may find the cabin is well insulated so the temperature can be controlled by the wall thermostat.
*No running water*
There is no running water, but drinking and washing water is provided to freshen up and to make warm drinks. We do provide towels, soap and a wash basin for freshening up. The outhouse is clean, well lit, and steps away, but does not have running water.
Slow down, light the fire, listen to the trees, and let the pond do the rest. We can’t wait to share Willow Bunkie with you!

About the host
Hosted by Scott Dekorte
I grew up in this quiet neighbourhood and now we want to share the beauty of central Niagara to those who want to experience it. I have travelled around the world but coming home is the best place to be.
Why they chose this property
Fenwick is the local town just a few minutes drive away. It has coffee shops, apple orchards and the small town feel. Want to go to Niagara Falls? Just a 30 minute drive and you can spend the day enjoying the Falls and all there is to see.
What makes this property unique
This cabin is thoughtfully located beside a pond on the corner of the family property. We want to host others who need to getaway or unplug from the busyness of life - for a night or for a week!
