Well thought out and designed. It was so nice to feel tucked away and totally private in a city setting. We loved it and look forward to the next stay.
What a wonderful little gem of a place to stay! Very welcoming, clean, and cozy, with the amazing added benefit of being pet friendly for my fur baby. The bed is super comfy, too! Thanks so much for such a pleasant experience, Mike!
Cute little place, just perfect for our short stay. Loved the dog amenities and although there is not a yard, there is a sidewalk on the quiet tree lined street for walking your dog. I also appreciated the ability to sit outside with my morning coffee. Also appreciated the coffee pods and machine!
A wonderful home away from home. All amenities we needed, everything was very clean, and the quiet nights were greatly appreciated. Very practical location close to Brock. Excellent communication with the host. Leaving the best for last: the fireplace!!We will return!
Great little spot 20-25 minutes from the falls and Niagara on the Lake. Full kitchen and it felt very private. Property was very clean and had enough space to relax.

Very clean, nice little details looked after. Central location in the Niagara area, and our communication with the owner was good.
Absolute gem!! Mike has created a very unique guest house studio complete with a fireplace and lovely outdoor space. Cozy with all the comforts of home.
Red Door Retreat is a hidden gem that offers a peaceful escape from everyday life. The space is well designed- minimalistic, but clean, cozy, and full of thoughtful touches (such as toiletries, a hair dryer, high-quality bath towels, comfortable bedding and memory foam pillows, dog treats and blankets, a coffee station, etc.)What really stood out was the host, Mike, who was incredibly attentive, kind, and genuinely great to converse with. He offered fantastic recommendations that made the stay even more enjoyable and personalized. The attention to detail throughout the space is impressive. Between the well-maintained facilities and the little extras, everything felt intentional. The fireplace was a highlight- it added such a warm, relaxing vibe and made the space even more inviting (in fact, the unit was so cozy that we ended up cancelling our plans just to stay in and enjoy it). The location in Thorold is also a plus- quiet and tucked away, yet still close enough to explore nearby St. Catharine’s and NOTL if you want to venture out. Overall, Red Door Retreat is an excellent choice for anyone looking to unwind, reflect, or simply take a break from the busy pace of life. I would absolutely recommend it and will definitely return again!

We had a comfortable , quiet experience. Within driving distance of all the destinations we planned to see. A short walk to a lovely Irish pub wit amazing food. Our virbo host was accommodating and available when we needed. I reccomend this first rate little home away from home. private entrance was available with a private patio. Met all our needs for an overnight stay while attending a function nearby. Very spacious, comfortable, easy check in. Bed very comfy.
Had a wonderful stay. Everything was just perfect. The extra little touches for my dog made the say even better. Communication was also prompt. Highly recommend.
The Red Door was a lovely place to get away. Mike had made sure everything was ready and stocked. The property had everything we needed for a weekend visit. We would recommend this place and host wholeheartedly.

A little hideaway, and a great surprise at the end of the alley/ type hallway. A private getaway. So clean and welcoming and fun. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick getaway to Niagara on the lake. Thorold is not a far drive and it’s nice drive in wine country.
