The space:
Allure has undergone an impressive makeover, including brand-new bathrooms, modern appliances, air-conditioning, stylish furniture, and a fresh coat of paint throughout. With unlimited high-speed Starlink internet, it’s perfect for both unplugging and staying connected. The upstairs offers spacious air-conditioned living room that flows onto a large outdoor deck with undercover BBQ and ample seating for gatherings while enjoying the stunning views. Wake in the spacious air-conditioned master bedroom featuring a water view.
Downstairs is a cozy haven with air-conditioned bedrooms and a second living area with a double bed sofa and second smart TV.
The fully equipped kitchen has all the appliances and utensils you need to prepare meals and snacks and includes a Nespresso Coffee Machine. Enjoy the two elegant bathrooms, one featuring a bathtub, plus separate toilets for convenience. For your added security, Allure Beach House has security cameras outside and inside the garage.
Bedding Configuration: Master Bedroom (Upstairs): 1 x King Bed 2nd Bedroom (Downstairs): 1 x Queen Bed 3rd Bedroom (Downstairs): 1 x Double Bed with Single Bed trundle, 4th Bedroom (Downstairs): 1 x Double Bed with Single Bunk Bed, Living room (Downstairs): 1 x Double Bed Sofa. Portacot available. Separate toilets to bathrooms. Separate laundry facilities.
As Guests of Allure Beach House, you have access to the Tangalooma Island Resort facilities and free activities. The resort is a short 5-minute walk down bush stairs however some guests prefer to hire a 6-8 seat golf buggy from the resort. Hiring a golf buggy enables guests to drive around the beautiful hilltop homes above the resort!
Other things to note: A refundable security bond of $1,500.00 is required to be paid 7 days prior to arrival and will be released within 3–5 days after departure (provided no issues arise). This bond is for any incidentals, damages or breakages incurred during the stay.
All linen is supplied inclusive of bath towels. Guests will need to provide their own beach towels, sunscreen etc.
4 rolls of toilet paper are supplied per bathroom so 8 in total. Shampoo and body wash is supplied. Guests will need to supply own essential toiletries.
DOPHIN FEEDING IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS PRIVATELY OWNED PROPERTY.
If bringing a 4WD, it is essential you confirm MICAT availability when booking Allure, as spaces fill quickly during peak periods. MICAT also undergoes maintenance in off-peak periods and does not operate on Wednesdays outside Queensland public school holidays.
Weekly discount is not applicable during school holiday periods.

Getting Here:
Moreton Island is easily accessed from Brisbane via the Tangalooma passenger ferry or the MICAT vehicle barge, with a travel time of approximately 75–90 minutes.
WITHOUT 4WD Tangalooma passenger ferries run from 220 Holt St Pinkenba to Moreton Island several times a day and you can book through the resort website. Once you arrive at the Resort, a taxi can take you and your luggage to the house only a few minutes away. To arrange a taxi, please contact Tangalooma Resort Reception on (07) 3410 6000.
BY 4WD Being the 3rd largest sand island in the world, all roads/tracks on Moreton Island are sand so the only way round is by 4WD. The MICAT is the only vehicle ferry that goes to Moreton and so it is important to book early (especially in peak holiday periods). The MICAT departs from the Port of Brisbane at Lytton and drops you off at the Tangalooma Wrecks. Allure Beach House is then a scenic 20 minute drive via Middle and Tangalooma Bypass Roads.
A valid vehicle access permit is required to drive on Moreton Island and must be displayed on your dashboard. Permits can be arranged via MICAT when booking, or through Mulgumpin Camping.

This house is absolutely beautiful with great views. The beds are really comfortable. Amazing location. Paula the host was fantastic to deal with. We will definitely stay here again.
The house was in a perfect location for our getaway. The views were incredible, house was lovely and spacious, the Neighbor was amazing, friendly and helpful. Will be recommending this property to all of our family and friends.
Property was a beautiful modern house that was perfect for a family of young adults. Plenty of space and clean facitlities. Fantastic view and deck area to enjoy this. Would recomend the hire of a buggy from the island to visit the resort facilities. Would definitely stay here again.

What a fabulous place to stay. Spectacular view, walk to resort via bush walk staircase. Fully equipped, lovely and clean. Lots of space. Some of the information as advertised was incorrect though, we had access to the resort but was told we didn’t. Coffee machine was different to what we were told and all our coffee pods didn’t fit.
Moreton Island & the property were 10 out of 10 for our family weekend escape. We all loved the balcony with a good size BBQ. We would all do it again.

Birthday celebration for 2 out of the 10 guests. Accommodation was fabulous it was beautiful to sit out on the very large balcony and soak up the view. Only real problem we had was not being able to hire a buggy for the 3 days and we had not been told it could be a problem and had not been advised about this or what other options there were
The house was amazing, fit 8 adults and 3 children very comfortably. The view was sensational and it was great that a few kayaks were left to use. Lots of cooking utensils/pans/pots and 2 fridges. Will definitely come again !
Beautiful house with everything you need and amazing view of tangalooma, seriously the pictures dont do it juctice, would definitley recommend!!!! and i plan on returning. only 1 downside would be no airconditioning downstairs, but has a good cross breeze.
Nice property with an outstanding view. Even better than the photos suggest. Kitchen, living, deck and bbq area are lovely for relaxing or entertaining. We comfortably fit 8 adults and teenagers in for a week.
Our only (small) criticism would be that all of the double beds were super, super firm which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable for some.
Other than that, we’d come back again for sure. The view is sensational.

Gorgeous location, amazing views. Although the furniture and beds are due for updating.
Communication with the host was very disappointing. Did not hear from her since we paid the full amount 2 months prior to our booking. She also didn’t register us at the Tangalooma Resort …. Therefore a big hassle every time we went there.

If MIAS are not provided the required information, yes you may struggle with resort access. 5 Stars! We have just come home from our stay at Allure (previously Sands on Moreton) and we had a wonderful time. The home is fresh and clean, looks to have been recently renovated. Plenty of space for my family and well stocked with all essential kitchen needs. We loved to amble fridge space for keeping our ridiculous amount of beverage is cold! There was excellent communication from the owner Paula. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Only considerations would be for families with very young or elderly to note that it is a big hike up and down the hill if you want to go to the resort, but that’s the trade-off for the incredible view! Also, for families with very young children, you may want to bring a baby gate for the stairs for peace of mind. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay on Moreton Island. Thank you for hosting us! We are likely to make this an annual booking
The photos advertised do not do this house justice! They have fully renovated downstairs with every room having air conditioning and a new bathroom and laundry. The kitchen is fully stocked with every appliance you would need for full cooking and baking. The balcony and outdoor area are absolutely amazing with unmatched views of Moreton Island. There is a fridge in the kitchen, a small bar fridge in the entry and then another fridge in the garage. The house includes the use of binoculars and board games. We would definitely stay here again. Our only recommendation would be to bring yourself some tea towels, bath mats and hand towels as these are not provided if you take your own linen. The beds were all very comfortable and easily accommodated 6 adults and 2 small children. They even have a port a cot and mobile high chair if you have an infant. The only downside is not having a golf buggy but we went to reception at the resort and hired one directly from them for our stay. To the owners of this house, thank you so much for sharing your home with us. It was an unforgettable experience we will not forget!!! Updated photos would be great for other guests to see how incredible this house is!

Stunning Views but property needs work
On arrival we immediately noticed a large dint in the garage door, driveway is very steep so I can see how this may have happened with previous guests. Property was clean enough but I did find a leftover razor from a previous guest in the upstairs bathroom on the windowsill. In the same bathroom I couldn't get one of the windows opened which inhibited the airflow. Both toilets upstairs and downstairs had no lights. We had to move a lightbulb from the laundry to the downstairs toilet just so guests could see what they were doing in there. One of the downstairs bedrooms was missing a knob to turn on the fan, we had to move the knob from the downstairs loungeroom to the bedroom as it was summer and the guest in that room needed the fan on. Also in the downstairs loungeroom there was a tear in the flyscreen and one of the lounges was missing a leg and was just sitting tilted on the floor. Lightswitch in the upstairs bedroom was pushed in and hard to turn on and off at times. The entry to the housing area from the sand road (tangalooma bypass) was terribly unkept and caused major damage to the bumper of my car. The step up to the concrete from the sand was minimum 10cm on one side, the other side had a broken grate sticking up so no matter which way you drove there would have been a scraped bumper. Please provide email address that I can send photos to as I will be seeking compensation for this.
One thing the property has going for it is the stunning views. I do believe the property is a great place to stay but is in desperate need of some repairs and I would suggest some airconditioning or better fans in summer.

Thank you for your detailed review. If you damaged your car entering the estate, this is a resort issue not anything to do with The Blue Crab Beach house and you can contact Tangalooma Resort to seek compensation.
It is quite shocking to hear you found a used razor on the window ledge in the bathroom, and we do find this hard to beleive, that the cleaners are that incompentent. Fan switces do get broken and geusts also move them around, like you did, but nobody lets anyone of importance actually now, just like the wndow that wouldnt open and apparent blown light bulbs in 2 toilets, couch leg. Everything was fixed after your vacate, and if we were advised during your stay we could have sorted everything at that time to make your stay better. MIAS
