The Cape House in Cape Woolamai
About the home
“The Cape House” is a delightful single-storey family and pet-friendly (outside only, please) home in Cape Woolamai, just a short drive from supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cape Woolamai, and popular attractions such as A Maze’N Things, the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, and Phillip Island Wildlife Park. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Entering via the front deck, a central hallway leads through to the spacious open-plan Dining/Living area (with 65" Smart TV, a selection of card and board games, a cosy Coonara wood heater, and seating for up to 8 guests), with the kitchen (with WIP) overlooking the space. The area then flows out to the alfresco and deck, creating a relaxed indoor/outdoor feel.
Also off the entry hallway is Bedroom 4 (with BIR); positioned opposite is Bedroom 3, which has a BIR and a private Ensuite (with bath, shower & toilet). The hallway continues through to Bedroom 1, which features a WIR and another Ensuite (with double shower & toilet), Bedroom 2 (with BIR), and a central communal bathroom (with bath, shower & toilet). The fully equipped laundry (with washing machine and clothes dryer) offers both internal and external access.
This home also offers work-from-home facilities, including two computers with wide monitors for guests needing to work remotely.
Outdoor Areas
The covered alfresco (with BBQ, ceiling fan, and seating for 8 people) showcases a spacious timber deck that flows effortlessly from the indoor living area through wide sliding doors, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor experience.
Positioned prominently on the deck, the fantastic private 8-seater electric Spa overlooks the fully enclosed yard (pets to stay outside please), offering both privacy and peace of mind. Surrounded by decking and open sky, it’s perfectly placed for soaking up the sun during the day or unwinding beneath the stars at night. There is also parking for up to 3 vehicles (cars and/or a boat): one in the single garage, one in the driveway, and one on the nature strip.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, a microwave, a Sunbeam coffee machine (ground), a toaster, a kettle, etc., plus a double sink, a fridge, a dishwasher, an electric oven, and an electric induction cooktop.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are four wall-mounted reverse cycle air conditioners in the home; one in the Kitchen/Dining/Living room, one in each of Bedrooms 1,2 and 4, plus ceiling fans in all four Bedrooms and a portable heater, and a ceiling fan in the alfresco area. The home has a Coonara-style wood heater in the Living Room (wood not supplied).
Bedding Configuration
This home has 8 beds, accommodating up to 11 guests:
Bedroom 1: One King bed
Bedroom 2: One Queen bed
Bedroom 3: Two King Single beds
Bedroom 4: One Tri-bunk and One set of King Single bunks
Please note: The Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels, and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels, and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed—and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
