Beautifully Crafted Rental Accommodation in the Wilderness of Kairkoura, New Zealand

This beautifully crafted, seven-meter wide tipi is located on an organic farm near Kaikoura on New Zealand's South Island and can accommodate up to four guests. The rental accommodation has a purpose-built, raised, and insulated wooden floor with 12-meter high internal poles and walls made from a waterproof poly-cotton canvas with a thick second inner layer.



The interior is an open space with a double bed, two single beds, a table and chairs, a cupboard, a blanket box, and a fridge with tea and coffee making facilities. Guests have access to the outdoor barbecue shelter with a gas barbecue, a gas pizza oven, and a sink. Outside, there is also a purpose-built private hexagonal toilet building, where guests will find a shower, a toilet, and a washbasin.



Linens, towels, and toiletries are provided while bathroom robes are provided in adult sizes and guests can purchase these from the host if they wish. The electricity is a regular 240V supply with room lighting, a small electric heater, bedside lamps, New Zealand/Australian power points, and USB sockets. The host has a range of wellies for adults and children.



Nearby is a private, fully-equipped outdoor barbecue shelter with a gas barbecue, a gas oven, a hob, a sink, crockery, cutlery, and outdoor tables and chairs. Glampers will have exclusive access to the host's private collection of farm animals including llamas, pigs, alpaca, sheep, deer, ducks and chickens.



A continental breakfast is available for a small additional cost (booked directly in advance, or at check-in), and includes: a selection of breakfast cereals, a loaf of bread, butter, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, homemade jam, and seasonal fruit and farm-fresh eggs when available.
