Beautiful Lake Escape

Our stay at this property was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The house was spacious, spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The private dock made boating incredibly convenient, and the quiet cove was perfect. There is even a beach bar with running water and a refrigerator on the dock!The deck overlooking the lake was one of our favorite parts of the trip, especially in the evenings while watching the sunset.  Every morning started with coffee on the deck and amazing lake views, and every night ended with beautiful sunsets.The host was responsive, helpful, and made check-in very easy. You can tell a lot of care goes into maintaining this property. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing Lake of the Ozarks vacation.

Clearly a property the owner hasn't stayed at in some time. Upon arrival, I was greeted with trash and dozens of empty cans of alcohol strewn in the rocks by the lower parking. It stunk so bad, I got a hold of the owner and he sent someone out within a few hours to take care of it. The porch, deck and dock were full of spider webs, dead bugs, leaves, bird poop, dirt. This is a lake home so you want to be outside or on the dock and they were unusable until I spent three hours with a hose and broom cleaning them off. There were 100's gnats stuck to the entry doors and dried on. There are multiple areas where wasps have nests in the soffits. We had to Instacart wasp and ant spray as there was an ant infestation on the deck too. Both refrigerators had to be wiped out before putting anything inside them. Two of the three bedrooms upstairs were starved for air conditioning and one of the beds was so hard our guest slept on the couch. The air conditioning unit was full of water and had been leaking for sometime as the water ran under the utility room wall and soaked the carpet. When we looked closer there was mold growing from the baseboards up the wall. This was by far the worst STR out of morw than 20 we've stayed in at LOTO. Not worth the . When I tried to reach the owner about the exterior filth, he wouldn't answer. When he finally called back he started with 'so do you want your money back you clearly don't like the house'. No apologies.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Our property sits on a wooded lakefront lot and is treated regularly by a professional exterminator; however, some natural debris outdoors is unavoidable. Regarding the A/C concern, our handyman addressed the minor drainage issue right away, and a follow-up HVAC evaluation found no ongoing issue. We made every effort to respond to concerns throughout the stay and provide a high standard of service. We take great pride in the cleanliness and maintenance of our property and thoroughly investigated the concerns raised, addressing those that required attention. We remained responsive throughout the process and will continue working to provide a comfortable experience for future guests.
