The home was tastefully decorated with holiday seasonal touches that made us feel immediately comfortable and welcomed. The kitchen is well-equipped. The local property manager (Ryan) was extremely helpful, polite, and timely in response. Thank you for a great weekend and we hope to visit again next time we are in the area.
This place was super cute and the bathroom was amazing! It was a great resting point for a few days on our roadtrip. The washer and dryer were a bonus as well.
This gem of a cabin was amazing. The attention to detail was incredible and the cleanliness upon arrival was next level. Would definitely recommend this special place to anyone seeking a unique experience next to a beautiful river.
We needed somewhere to crash in-between family events and this suited us just fine. Comfy bed, luxurious bathroom, and you can hear the river from the bedroom window. Note: there is definitely no river access from the house, but luckily there is a place to put in a few minutes up the road.
Fantastic place, great location and an amazing bathroom.
The property was much more spacious than we imagined. Good sized kitchen, stunning bathroom and lovely location. Communication with the owner was excellent too, and It was a shame we only stayed one night. It was nice that there was a washer/dryer available. My 20 year old daughter slept on the top bunk and loved it. We did not want to leave. Thanks so much.
It was extremely clean and felt like being at home. Layout of house was very well thought out and felt very open. Beds were comfy! Our son loved the loft bed and our daughter was very happy on the spacious pull out couch futon. The sitting area looking over the river was a nice touch. Communication with Wendi was very precise and check in and out was very smooth. We will book again the next time we are able to pass through the area.
This place was perfect for a short visit with my family (wife and two kids)! In the morning we walked and got coffee at Rebel Roasters then went to the park and the library. After that we were ready to head to Crater Lake. The bathroom with the large jetted tub and waterfall shower was the highlight of the interior!
Basically everything you see in the pictures other than the unit your staying you are not allowed to use. Would have been nice to go out and have a cup of coffee in the morning and look at the river. Or allow my dog to use the yard. But nothing in the pictures other than the unit your are allowed to use. The false advertising is worthy of being sued for if I cared enough to do so. Before you rent this just know my 8yr old was changing in the living room when a random young man walked by the front window with no announcement. It was extremely underwhelming and I feel like I need a full refund and more. Seems like her family has left all the reviews there is no way any real person would stay here again.
We had a great time. Place is clean and very nice. Great location and the yard overlooks the river. Also well priced. I would highly recommend it. Some initial issues opening the door but they were totally on it.
We really enjoyed our stay here! The house was very clean and comfortable. Everything suited the needs of our family of four, the only exception being that there was no specific dining area. They have a fold up table in the closet that you can set up. We just pulled up an extra seat to the small table on the porch outside. Overall, we would definitely stay here again if we revisit the area!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Listing is misleading.
The inside of the house is really cute. It was well decorated and was very clean. However, the listing is inaccurate. It's listed that renters would have the entire place to themselves. The rental is an add-on or an upstairs to someone's house and they are there when renters are there. It's listed as dog friendly. Yes, dogs are allowed, but the yard that is pictured in the photos is not for renters to use at any time. Renters have to ask property manager for permission each time they want to use the yard, as the owner's personal dogs have free access to the yard all day. There are signs at the gates to the yard that say "Do not enter - dogs on duty. For the dogs' well-being and yours, please do not enter this space without permission from PM." I have no problem with the dogs, the PM's dogs were beautiful dogs. However, when the property is listed as "entire place" and the yard is in the pictures, it's very deceiving. Part of the reason we booked this location was because the pictures showed an outdoor area with beautiful views of the Rogue River. The yard that renters have access to 24/7 is a tiny stretch of grass on the back of the house right next to a very steep hill into the river with no fence. The description does include that the PM is in the building, but it's at the very bottom, near the part about "renters will be charged if there are damages," where no one really reads. I will not be returning, and neither will my friends. Dogs in the pictures belong to PM.
Great find on our way home. The second bunk is higher than a normal bunk and none of our kids would sleep up there because it didn't feel protected enough to them. Would be great for ages 10+. The cookware is great, but it was sparse on basics. We would stopover again if it works with our itinerary.
The accommodations were nothing short of fantastic. The room was tastefully decorated, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities one could need. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail. It was evident that the management takes great pride in maintaining a high standard of quality and cleanliness.
The highlight of our stay, however, was undoubtedly the breathtaking views that surrounded the property. Gold Hill's natural beauty was on full display, and I found myself captivated by the stunning landscapes.
This was a last minute booking as I had sudden business in Oregon with my California dog rescue. I considered it good luck that I got to meet up with my sister from Eugene and spend 24 hours with her! The Restful River Retreat was everything I was looking for and I was so grateful that it was available on the night I needed it. There is not a single thing I would change about this sweet rental! Even my dog had a great time romping in the yard and smelling all the smells. Inside was very cozy and comfortable, and my sister and I just relaxed and caught up. There was plenty enough room for the three of us. My sister is a major germ phobe and I made note of the fact that she didn’t complain about anything at all! I think that was a first. We took a little walk to the corner store for some food and drinks in the evening, and after checkout in the morning we found a nice little hike to go on for an hour or so. Gold Hill is charming and I wish we had had more time to explore. Also, the customer service at the rental was perfect. Every inquiry I had, both before and during our stay, was answered within minutes. We both hope to be able to stay here again!
