If you're looking for a serene home base while exploring this part of the Island, look no further. Once you find the driveway (a little tricky the first time!), the drive in is beautiful, leading to a peaceful spot tucked away in nature on a working farm—though you’d hardly know it.The space itself is welcoming, thoughtfully set up and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It feels wonderfully removed from everything while still being a great base for exploring the area. The host was personable, responsive and very easy to reach. My only regret is not having the chance to take them up on the offer of fresh farm eggs!I would happily stay here again and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable Island getaway.

It's a lovely spot in the country on the edge of Duncan, BC - a beautiful garden, lots of trees and roosters to wake you in the morning. It feels like a farm in the woods, but is less than a 10 minute drive to all the stores and a couple of tasty brunch restaurants. Our only minor issue was solved quickly by the attentive hosting team. Everything was "as promised." We would stay there again.

Nicely presented space...the window seat was lovely. Kitchen furnishings a bit hit and miss - only one pot with a lid . You will have periods of serenity but when the upstairs neighbour is home every step above reverberates below and you may jump when heads periodically float past the upper kitchen window as neighbours use their parking spot. Advertised as having washer and dryer and there is laundry soap provided in the closet but no washer and dryer and no directions to where they might be. Turns out there is a shared pay setup in a space next door but the washer was not working and no-one communicated that information so i was left with damp unwashed laundry until the local laundromat opened after a holiday Monday. Location was good for access to local wineries, hikes, restaurants and etc.

Nice stone and wood features throughout. Your front yard is Cari’s garden of flowers, berries , fruit trees etc. During my four days a rooster woke me up but somehow was not intrusive. One morning as I sat outside drinking coffee I heard the sound of a drum Cari singing in the red yurt you can barely see through the garden. She is a classically trained vocalist. A good way to start your day.She is a busy woman hoosting a variety of events but was very helpful and friendly when you needed her. A gem imo.
