Welcome to Nature’s Playground, a beautifully renovated escape tucked away on a peaceful inlet of Lake Muskoka in Gravenhurst. Surrounded by towering trees, abundant wildlife, and the natural beauty that Muskoka is famous for, this charming cottage offers the perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and family fun.

Designed with comfort and connection in mind, the cottage features a bright open-concept living space filled with natural light, a modern gourmet kitchen, three inviting bedrooms, and a stylish bathroom. Whether you’re preparing family meals, gathering for game night, or simply enjoying your morning coffee overlooking the creek, you’ll feel right at home.

Set on an oversized, private lot, Nature’s Playground lives up to its name. Children will love the on-site sand based playground and spacious yard, while adults can unwind beside the waterfront fire pit as the sun sets over the peaceful creek. There are lots of yard games for guests of all ages to enjoy! The shallow inlet is ideal for paddling and exploring by canoe, kayak, or paddleboard, while boaters can easily venture farther out onto beautiful Lake Muskoka. While swimming isn't possible from the dock with the shallow water, guests can paddle out to deeper water and take a dip or enjoy one of the local public beaches.

Nature lovers will be captivated from the moment they arrive. During a recent visit, the property was alive with wildlife, including 3 families of Canada geese, mallard ducks, a busy beaver, playful chipmunks, and countless birds.

A charming wildflower meadow sits nearby, while forests surround both sides of the property, creating a peaceful setting where you can truly disconnect from everyday life.
Accommodating up to four adults and four children, Nature’s Playground is perfect for families seeking quality time together. Spend your days playing lawn games, paddling the quiet waters, exploring Muskoka, or simply relaxing in the comfort of this thoughtfully renovated cottage.

Available year-round, the cottage is just minutes from Gravenhurst, the Gateway to Muskoka. Discover waterfront dining, boutique shopping, local cafés, seasonal events, scenic cruises, and countless outdoor adventures before returning to your private retreat at the end of the day.

Things you need to know:

• A maximum of 2 small, non-shedding dogs are welcome, but no cats or other pets please


• This cottage is in the Town of Gravenhurst; Licence # STRA-102. The Municipal STR Licence restricts the cottage to maximum 6 people at any given time during your stay. The Municipality requires rental guests sign a Rental Guest Code of Conduct. It will be sent to you upon booking for electronic signature.


• Please note that, according to the municipality’s bylaws, all dogs must be leashed or tethered on the property when outside. Dogs are not permitted to roam leash-free.


• Watercraft are available seasonally when conditions allow (typically Victoria Day to Thanksgiving, depending on water levels, safety, and weather); refunds will not be provided if conditions prevent use.



• Linens are provided – please bring your own outdoor towels


• Limited garbage disposal is required


• Traffic noise can be heard in the distance but not intrusive


• Post departure cleaning is arranged immediately following your check out time. Please ensure the short pre-departure cleaning checklist is completed and you have fully checked out of the cottage by your departure time to avoid any additional cleaning fees.


• Electric vehicles: Not suitable


• Parking: Room for up to 6 vehicles


• Cell signal: Excellent for Bell/Virgin and Rogers but non-existent for other providers

Accessibility

• Relatively easy entry and exit from parking area (few if any stairs, railing(s) where needed), At least one main floor bedroom and bathroom, Cottage would not be suitable/easy for anyone with mobility challenges to access.


• Property would be difficult/impossible to navigate and would not recommend for anyone with mobility challenges.

Waterfront

There is 230’ of waterfront. The area directly in front of the cottage is quite weedy with a muddy bottom, so it is not recommended for swimming or wading. The waterfront has southern exposure, offering both sunrise and sunset views.

Boating

The water is about 3’ deep off the dock. The dock can accommodate boats up two 21 feet with a 2 foot draft. Boats may be launched at the Gravenhurst Wharf, and there is a marina nearby.
