IMPORTANT INFORMATION Our farmhouse is supplied by rainwater tanks. The tap water is clean, safe and regularly maintained for drinking; however, we also provide complimentary bottled drinking water for your convenience. As our water supply relies on rainfall, we kindly ask guests to be mindful of their water usage during their stay. Small efforts, such as taking shorter showers and avoiding unnecessary water use, help ensure there's plenty for everyone. Thank you for helping us care for this precious resource.
Our farmhouse is serviced by a septic system, so your cooperation is appreciated. Please do not pour oils, fats, grease or dairy products down the kitchen sink. In the bathroom, only toilet paper and human waste should be flushed. Please do not flush wipes (including those labelled "flushable"), paper towels, tissues, sanitary products, nappies, cotton buds or any other items, as they can damage the septic system and result in costly repairs.
We have livestock on the property. Please leave all gates exactly as you find them. If a gate is open, please leave it open. If it is closed, please close it securely behind you to help keep our animals safe.

Why they chose this property
What I love most about Acheron is its peace and natural beauty. Mornings begin with birdsong, the river gently flowing by and fresh country air. During the day, I enjoy walking along the Acheron River, watching the local wildlife and exploring the surrounding forests, mountains and charming country towns. As the sun sets, the paddocks glow with golden light before giving way to a sky full of stars. It's a place to slow down, switch off from everyday life and simply enjoy nature. I hope you'll experience the same sense of relaxation and connection that my family has enjoyed here for generations.
