The property was cute and clean. Good location. Communication was not the best. We had one small issue that took a bit to resolve.

The place was great! We were a family of 6 and we had plenty of room. It was a bit warm in Estes so some days felt a little hot in the house since there was no AC. But they provide fans and the evenings cooled down. We enjoyed being able to walk downtown and avoid the parking. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. The beds were comfortable andnwe all slept great. We would definately stay again.

Very nice place. Within walking distance to downtown, but walking back all uphill is hard! Had everything we needed for our week in the mountains. The only downside was the dumpster is at the house next door. Also, with no A/C when neighbors come in late it can be very loud. Would stay here again.

The place was ok, very outdated. The recliners were dirty when we arrived. The location was good and it was fine for our short trip but I don’t think I would book this again, especially if I were there for a longer stay.

I love Bear Pause Cabin!! A perfect mountain stay! Peaceful, comfortable, tottaly my rustic vibe, antler, deer decor and cozy! You can walk to town, if your inclined, or free parking down town! The shops are great, and a safari tour during elk rutting is fantastic!! Bear Pause Cabin is in a perfect location! Can't wait to go again!

Central location but private

A good place for kids, located within walking distance from the town. We were nervous about not having A/C in late June but it wasn't a problem. A bit overpriced, but pleasant overall.

Conveniently Located Cottage

Great location close to downtown Estes Park, nice views of the mountains in a modest, family-friendly cottage. The acommodations are clean and well cared for, and could benefit from some additional ventilation/odor eliminator.

Great home in the heart of Estes Park

This was a beautiful three bedroom home located just 5 minutes walk from the corner of Estes Park. Spectacular view from rear of house. If you’re looking for a place that’s close to RMNP, look no further!

Convenient location. Rustic decor: 70s rental. Everything a large family needs: every appliance down to ice maker in the fridge. Three portable fans. The kids loved it. We did see a BEAR on the street even though the location is very muchi n town.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying here again. The biggest strengths of this cabin are its location, size, and cleanliness. We stayed with six people (4 adults, 2 young kids), and it fit us comfortably. The location is fantastic—you can walk to downtown Estes Park in about five minutes. The walk back is up a steep hill, so those with mobility concerns may prefer to drive. There is free parking nearby. If you're looking for a modern, updated rental, this probably isn't it. The cabin is dated, as previous reviews mention, but it has a classic Colorado cabin feel. The bathrooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking several meals. Families with young kids should know the top bunk doesn't have a safety rail. There is no air conditioning, which seems typical for Estes Park rentals. The owners provided plenty of fans, so it wasn't a major issue, but the cabin did get warm from about 3–9 p.m., especially if we were using the oven. The only downside was the worn living room furniture, which could use updating. Overall, the cabin was clean, comfortable, well maintained, and in an outstanding location. If you value location and convenience over modern finishes, I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Little a bit

The cabin is nice and clean. The recliners are old and hard to get out of. The master bedroom bed appears to be newer (king size) and comfortable. Nice views. If anyone has a walk-in inch issue not friendly to walk to town. (Hills)

Charming cottage

Charming 3 bedroom cottage. The bedrooms are all spaced out which is perfect for families with older children. Everything is on one level (no stairs) making it convenient for individuals with mobility issues. Living rooms is quite spacious and the furniture is comfortable. This cottage has no AC which is common in mountain communities but we were grateful that there were plenty of fans on property to help cool the house down. I was a little disappointed that you have to provide your own hand soap as well as laundry soap. I’ve stayed at many properties where this was included. Check in was ok as you have to go to a separate place off property in order to obtain the code to open the door. This seemed like an unnecessary process. Upon entry into the unit, there were muddy footprints on the carpet in the living room as well as the twin bunk bedroom. Not a good first impression for sure. Overall, good location, comfortable beds and furniture with easy access to local area.
