Nice place with lovely views

Nice place to relax. The host is very friendly and helpful. Pool was great for our kids. Views of the mountains from the terrace is the highlight! 5-7 min drive from Orgiva and about an hour from Granada and the beach. We hope to be back one day!

Wonderful stay at this property. The apartment was charming and clean, with enough space for our family of 5 (one infant). The walk to town is a bit too far with young kids on a hot day, but very easy drive and parking was not to hard to find in town. We did walk up to the cemetery from the house for lovely views. Many short day trips made this spot an excellent base for our trip. The property is shared, but enough space you don’t feel crowded by other guests. Hosts are lovely and responsive. This apartment requires you to walk around the house to see/use the pool, so the other casita might be even better for a family with kids that want to live at the pool.

A perfect retreat in the Alpujarra

Everything about this place was great. The location is lovely and the views are spectacular. The apartment is really spacious, comfortable and clean, with big bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, a full kitchen and a lovely big private balcony with views of the surrounding mountains. Oli and Maria are really friendly, helpful hosts. They really have thought of everything to make sure you can relax and enjoy your holiday from the minute you arrive, providing organic wine and olive oil, fruit, coffee, milk and all the essentials you could need. The pool is very clean and new, and the gardens, which also have amazing views, are lovely to relax in. We would definitely go back if we return to Orgiva, and would recommend this apartment to friends and family.

Dear Mazen, Thank you so much for your nice and positive review. We are happy to see that you and your wonderful family had an enjoyable time and could relax in our holiday property. Regarding your comment about the pool area, we are sorry for the misunderstanding and happy that we could solve it to your satisfaction. To be on the safe side, we have checked the text in English again and actually think that everything is described correctly so far: “The shared saline-swimming pool produces a natural alternative to chlorine; it is 9 x 4m and incorporates a shallow toddler section. The pool is situated within a lawned garden and is surrounded by a child-safety wooden fence. These precautions will certainly guarantee a restful, fun and relaxing holiday for the whole family”. And: “The lawns around the pool are so spacious that each accommodation has its own area, its own parasol and each guest has their own sun lounger for exclusive use”. If you would like to suggest an improvement, we would be more than happy to consider it. Thank you again for everything and hopefully to see you again in Orgiva soon!

Bon appartement, belle terrasse

Thank you for appreciating the benefits of our holidays offer, even so you couldn’t find it “excessive”. If fantastique and somptueux are exaggerated may be a matter of liking and, like we say in Spain, there are as many as colours on this planet. Anyway, we are happy that you ask us to visit us once more next year with your family and we look forward to have you staying here soon again. We are sorry that the full moon did rise just behind the cypress tree this time and hope next year you will be luckier regarding that. Only one clarification: In Orgiva doesn’t exist any discotheque at all and the music you could hear from town on Saturday came from the village summer festival which was just happen that night. We look forward to welcome you next summer and wish you all the best.

Comfortable place, also for families

If you are looking for a stay in a comfortable house, with a lot of space both inside and outside, quite but near a lively village, this is the place. The house is complete and clean, and the view from the terrace is beautiful. There is a garden all around the property and the child-friendly pool is surrounded by a fence. Oliver, the very kind owner, is there to answer any question and to help out if needed. If you have a car (recommended), the beach, nice mountain villages and hiking areas are easy to reach within 30 minutes. Orgiva has good restaurants and bars, friendly people and a lively market once a week, where people offer fresh fruits and vegetables, crafted jewelry and gadgets, and many natural, home made products. If you are planning to go to Alhambra, make sure you get a tour guide, because there is no sign or information whatsoever. And buy your tickets in advance, as soon as possible. This is a place to come back to!

Great holiday in a beautiful location

The property was exactly as described and suited the three of us perfectly, 2 adults and a 4 year old. The accommodation was clean, well maintained, and comfortable, providing everything we could need. The terrace is a great area to eat at any time of day. The pool and gardens were lovely to relax and play around and were safe for our daughter. Weather, as expected, was superb. Oliver is a welcoming, charming and helpful host

So far the best holiday house ever!

My family and I stayed in the villa El Olivo for two weeks and we absolutely LOVED IT! The house was great, beautifully decorated, lovely interiors and the kids had the best time in the garden and swimming pool. We had time to explore the area and go on a few walks in nature. GREAT LOCATION, I have to say! We were sad that two weeks went by so fast so next time we will definitely try to book it for three weeks. We really recommend this place! Thank you for the awesome holiday you gave us, Oli! Joao, Theresa and little rascals

perfect holiday house for toddlers (and parents)

we stayed in the charming ferry tale cottage 'cortijo el potro'. the house was lovely, very comfortable and clean, nice bedding and towels, good matrasses, very spacious, well equipped. the view, outside space and covered terrace are very beautiful and idyllic. it was the perfect spot for a relaxing vacation with our two boys (aged 4 and 2). the whole property is very safe for children. the pool was absolutely perfect as it has a 'childrens' area when they could stand and also shallow steps where they could play, and a closable gate, while at the same time being very close to the terrace and house. there is a swing and playhouse with slide. We would definitely recommend this house for a family with toddlers. it is not easy to find such a toddler friendly house in this kind of idyllic setting. location is also very good: alhambra, beach, walking, mountains, charming villages, river... all within easy reach (if you have a car). the only thing we 'missed' was a dish washer.
