We had a wonderful stay with two families. The house was fully stocked with everything you could want for a family stay. Kids ages 10-15 had a great time fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding off the dock as well as enjoyed the beach/sand area and pool table.

The Good Life is a vacation paradise. The house is warm and inviting. It has all the comfort of home and more. The property is amazing, wonderful view of the lake from the balconies. The lawn was perfect for three little kids and doggies to run around and play. It was nice to have the water toys available for us to use. Our 3 yrs old grandson caught his first fish while fishing off the dock. Holly and Chris are great hosts, they are very easy to communicate with. We had an AMAZING week at "The Good Life!" We always love Lake Gaston, but this home truly had everything we could have needed. The hosts were amazing with communication, the house was immaculate, indoor and outdoor furniture was in great shape, cabinets were well stocked and organized, there were so many outdoor activities provided to keep the full family busy, and the foosball and pool table were a hit when the sun went down. Loved the extra drink fridge in the kitchen/dining area, the ice maker was able to keep up with everyone's needs, there was access to basic cleaning supplies that we needed, A/C easily kept up with the summer heat, and there were even marshmallow roasting sticks already provided on site. Really, every detail was perfectly thought out by the hosts!!We had a total of 9 guests (plus one dog) that stayed for most of the week and we could have easily had room for 4 more as we had 2 twin beds and 1 queen bed that went unused. The layout of the home never had us feeling crowded.The only disappointment all week was that we had to leave. On the way out of the driveway, my wife and son were already trying to figure out when we could come back again.

Great spring break for kuds

We enjoyed our stay very much. The lake, and available kayaks and paddle boat were great. Adults and kids had great time exploring and relaxing by the lake.

Family Vacation at Lake Gaston

Lovely home on a large property, nicely decorated with all the implements and furnishings to provide a comfortable stay. Easy to get to boat pier, lots of outdoor decks with seating. Host was easy to reach and very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this vacation home.

Great Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time and everything was just as described. The sandy area was perfect for the kids to play and be able to enter into the water safely. The kayaks, paddle boards and peddle boat were wonder to have and our group enjoyed using them. Overall this was a wonderful place to stay and we enjoyed our time!

Great space

This property is perfect for large families. It has plenty of room inside with lots to do. Games, firepit, paddle boards, kayaks, pedal boat, etc.

Best Fishing

Second year in a row and the fishing did not disappoint! This is a great house for a family getaway and for some fun on the water. Had a blast hope to return again in the future!

Last vacay before school

It was the perfect get away before school starts back up. We enjoyed all the amenities at the dock, the house had everything you needed, and the owners were very helpful (even when we forgot a ton of things after checkout!) Thanks for having us!

Great rental home on Lake Gaston

My family had a great time at Lake Gaston and this home was the perfect choice. Plenty of space, very well stocked kitchen essentials, clean and lots of water toys to enjoy. The owners responded promptly with Amy questions I had. I would definitely rent this home again.

Great location

Communication with Holly is excellent, she is extremely responsive. We had a very smooth process and found the house by car and by boat very easily. Just out of the cove is a great area for waterskiing and tubing, we had a great time.

Weekend at the lake

Lovely and comfortable lake house

We had a very enjoyable stay at this property. The lake house is comfortable and spacious, with great amenities. We very much enjoyed relaxing on the top deck with wonderful views of the lake, and playing in the lake with our kids. Everything was exactly as described in the listing. I highly recommend this property!
