The home, aptly named "Awesome Sunsets," features 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, offering ample space for relaxation and entertainment. The main level showcases an updated kitchen, sunroom with an office area, dining area, and family room—ideal for gatherings or quiet moments. Step outside onto the new full-length deck, complete with lighting, a grill area, and covered seating, perfect for enjoying the breeze and sunset views.

Venture downstairs to discover a second kitchen area, a family room, and a new game room featuring a pool table and classic arcade game—setting the stage for memorable evenings of fun and laughter. Outside, the path to the lake and boathouse is illuminated with night lighting, leading to multiple sitting areas, swings, and two fire pit areas—ideal for making s'mores and cherished memories.

Location of house on the lake was perfect. The dock house sold us on the rental and did not disappoint from the view to the shaded areas and tiki bar with fridge plus a closet filled with water toys, wonderful! We have already booked here for next summer!

The home was so quiet and peaceful. We stayed for a weekend, 3 adults and one teen. The house is very roomy, could easily accommodate a large group. The views were breathtaking. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking and swimming in the lake. We rented a boat for a day and everyone enjoyed that as well. We spent a lot of time on the dock which was awesome. Overall it was a relaxing weekend at a super nice house. Would definitely stay here again.

Communication was great and check-in and out was very easy. We absolutely loved the lake view from the house and boat dock. The boat dock is lovely! No TV and the refrigerator didn't seem to be working but perhaps that was due to being off season. We didn't use the fire pit because of the weather but it was set up nicely with chairs and previous renters had left firewood. The kitchen is nicely equipped with 2 refrigerators (3rd refrigerator is in basement), plenty of dishes, and everything you need to prepare meals. The kids loved the arcade games and pool table downstairs which was great since the weather wasn't the best. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent this house again.

The interior of the home was clean but the exterior was not clean at all. We had to clean what it seemed to be weeks/months worth of dirt and grime away from any area we planned to use. Sorry, we did not take pictures but wish we had. We only stayed (2) nights. Great location and overall amenities. The owner seems to strictly in it for the ROI

Amazing Sunsets

Our family has been going to Lake Gaston for about 15 years & this Lake house is definitely one of our favorites ! It was very comfortable, clean ,well-stocked ! We loved the dock ,sunsets were amazing ! We enjoyed the firepit ,making S'mores & just sitting around it talking & having a drink ! Best of all being able to have our Fur Babies with us made everything PERFECT!!

Great Place, Nice Location on the Lake

We had a great time here. Brought our boat and tied up at the dock. The house is located in a protected area from the main lake and we had a great time hanging out on the water. House is well stocked with water toys, so be sure to check them out. Listing is as described and the house is well maintained. Definitely recommend.

Truly Awesome Sunsets

We thoroughly enjoyed this property. Fires, fishing, cards, pool, ping pong, boating, family meals and perfect weather. Even with 66 degree water temp we tubed and water skied! Plenty of kitchen supplies, plenty of room for all our food. Our dogs loved the dock and the yard. We will be back!

Merry Christmas at the Lake!

Loved our Lake Gaston stay. My family has always had lake gatherings since I was a little girl and this was the perfect way to continue this tradition with my children and grandchild. Amazing location! Serene, quiet, awesome sunsets. House was fantastic. Game room brought back childhood memories. Even as a December rental with colder weather, the house and lake was great for our Christmas family gathering. Would definitely consider renting again. Thank you!

Meeting our boys from NC

My family and our friends live in MD. We met our sons who live in NC. The house was perfect for our group of 12. It is very spacious with lots of seating. The covered boat deck was awesome since our weather wasn’t great. The amenities were as advertised and there were a lot. We had a great weekend and would definitely go back.

We're a family with three grown-up boys who still love to vacation at the lake along with their families, including our two adorable granddaughters. We're lucky to have four furry friends as well - a Golden Retriever, a Rottweiler, and two German Shepherds - who make our family time even more fun!

We first discovered Lake Gaston about five years ago when we downsized our boat for more family-friendly activities. We fell in love with the clean and warm water, and it quickly became our dream home location. After months of searching, we found "Awesome Sunsets" and knew it was the perfect fit for us. We decided to share our home as a vacation rental and connected with Bob, our amazing co-host with years of Lake Gaston rental experience, to help us provide the best possible experience for our guests.
