About this property

Recently refurbished comfy little sixth floor studio in Shores of Panama Resort. Gorgeous view of the pool and beach. There are both indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs. Along with private to the resort beach access from the pool. The unit is within walking distance to restaurants, bars, beach shops, groceries, etc...
After each stay, in addition to regular cleaning of the unit, it is professionally disinfected with industrial grade disinfectant that kills any virus in order to prevent the spread of covid.

The space
This unit has a full kitchen, full-size refrigerator, microwave, oven, stove, utensils, dishes, cookware etc. There is one, full private bathroom with tub/shower. A king bed and an additional sleeper sofa as well as an over/under washing machine and dryer.

The resort features a gorgeous lagoon pool with zero entry access to anyone not staying on the resort, dolphin fountains, two lagoon bridges over the pool, waterfalls, two Tiki bars, a large gulf-front Jacuzzi, indoor heated pool and indoor Jacuzzi, brand new fitness center, kids activity area and poolside entertainment (seasonal).

Dirty, broken and no service from manager.

Not well kept, like old hotel room. Dryer did not work. Bed sheets had sand in them upon arrival. Called manager, nothing fixed. Had to go buy new bedding. Photos of property are out of date. No compensation or apology. This was high on list of worst stays ever.

Worst management

First of all when we showed up we had to have a code for the room. So I went in to the front office they were no help. So we tried to get a hold of the contact phone number, no answer so we decided to walk up to the room and it was not locked so we walked in and kept trying to get ahold of someone to get the code for the key. We finally got a hold of someone to get the code and pushed everything aside and started our vacation. The room was dirty. The appliances was gross. They floor turned our feet black. The toilet leaked. Had to put one of the only what they say large towels around it. The next day the kids wanted to rent a golf cart for the whole day so we rented one and come back to the room and the people working there said that we could not bring in a golf cart so we had to take the golf cart back and lost about $95 kids were not happy. There was no rules posted about the golf carts in the parking garage. If there was we would have changed the way we rented the golf cart. The room had 4 small towels and I mean small. Not enough to dry on after getting out of the shower. Shores of Panama does not provide towels, toilet paper if you need more than 1 roll( I have 2 girls) or paper towels. Here again nothing was said about this. We had to go buy towels that we could have brought from home had we known. We enjoyed our vacation at Panama City Beach however well NEVER stay at this facility again.

Beware of this condo and company

We have stayed at SOP for the past 15 years. We have never stayed in one this bad. The listing is very deceptive. It states the room has been "recently refurbished" This room hasn't been updated in years. The pictures you see on the site are not accurate. The room smelled horrible. Floors were filthy. Closet was full of paint cans and supplies. Had dirty sheets and towels piled in it. No place to hang clothes. The refrigerator had mold on the side. Bedspread had cigarette burns. No covers over kitchen or hall lights. Light bulb exploded sending glass everywhere To be very transparent, after complaining they did offer to come clean the room Stated it would take several hours. This would have put us getting in the room around 10:00 pm We decided to clean it ourselves Melanie, one of the managers offered to refund our money because her words "the room needs alot of work" Thats great but where would we sleep? We live 6 hours away. We didn't have the money to get another condo. So instead of canceling our vacation, we chose to stay and make the best of it Bottom line is this room needs alot of work and yet they are still renting it. Property manager, Justin has told me if I leave a bad review to remember "he gets to reply back" Go ahead. Everything I have said is honest and truthful and he knows that I have no reason to lie. He will also say we wanted to stay for free. Not true. I just don't like to be taken advantage of. Hope this review helps you.

Great Stay 8/10

Overall the room was perfect for us two adults. Upon our arrival I was upset to see that the bed was clearly not washed after the previous guests (crumbs, hair, a bug, blood stain on pillow) and the shower curtain and liner were beyond moldy. A simple $5 liner from Walmart and a quick wash in the provided washer/dryer (AWESOME FEATURE) fixed the ‘issues’ though! The room was comfortable and easy to keep up with via cleaning. The balcony faced the pool and provided a beautiful view of the beach. Overall I would recommend this location to anyone and everyone! 8/10 for me.

This unit has a personality almost. I (Justin) started managing it for an older lady that I knew whose husband passed. I was already in the business and had been providing just the cleaning services for them for a while. And when she called me she was woefully bewildered saying that her husband used to do "all of this stuff" and she didn't know what she was doing and could I maybe help her. Well. What monster could say no to that?
