Fantastic Nature

The house is beautiful. The garden is even better. Don't over look the value of the breakfast included. Maxu our host was super fun and an excellent cook. Half of us are vegetarian and the food was one of the best part of the trips. We added a few dinners that were a great deal. Our primary purpose was to birdwatch in the area early in the day and then play in the yard and pool. In the yard alone we identified 45 species. Highlights include: Russet-naped Wood-Rail, Gartered Trogon, Lesson's Motmot, Collared Aracari, Keel-billed Toucan, White-fronted Parrot, Black-crowned Tityra, Yucatan Jay, Yellow-tailed Oriole, Red-throated Ant-tanager. At least one trip to El Corchal a near by wet land is an absolute must. This is one of the best wetlands we have experienced in the world. The road to El Corcha is a great place to walk and birdwatch. Cinco centoes is also near by and this is also a great place to bird and swim. Not crowded and plenty of hiking trails. Solfirino has a really good barbeque place with the best burger I have eaten and the vegetarians say the same thing about the portabella burger. Other places in town were pretty good as well. Overall we ate really well and healthy. A ton of vegetables.

Peaceful Sanctuary

This property is a one-of-a-kind gem in the heart of the Yucatán. The gardens and fruit trees surrounding the house are meticulously maintained. The house itself has a brilliant design and flow. Property managers were responsive and professional and the daily breakfast prepared onsite was fresh and delicious.
