Intimate, private and quiet guest house on sixteen acres of an organic orchard filled with avocados, pixie tangerines and Valencia oranges. Guests are welcome to pick ripe oranges from the trees and use the citrus juicer to make fresh squeezed orange juice. There are also overflowing grapefruit, fig and pomegranate trees to pick from.

The home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a lovely living room with beautiful views. The outdoor patio is furnished for guests to enjoy the nightly pink moment as the sun sets on the Ojai Valley. If you do not see the dates you are interested in, please contact Mimi directly.

Excellent location to escape the hustle and bustle of city life yet just a five minute drive to enjoy the shops and restaurants of downtown Ojai.

If you are working virtually from home but are in need of a change of scenery, come work from the guest house! We have perfect cell reception, high speed internet, desks, outlets, a printer and basic office supplies. We will set it up for you before your arrival.

Nestled Among the Trees

Came for a wedding in Ojai and this place was exactly what we needed as we didn’t spend too much time there. Fresh eggs and the ability to have fresh pressed juice was amazing!

Awesome stay in Ojai

We had the best time staying at Mimi's place in Ojai. The home was more than spacious for our family, very clean and new furniture with such nice touches such as fresh flowers and fresh eggs from her chickens. Mimi showed us around and the kids loved being able to roam the property visiting the cows and going through the bike track. We had such a great time and Mimi was a terrific host. We can't wait to visit again!

You will absolutely love the quiet and serenity of this place surrounded by mountains. Mimi is an exceptional host, always responsive and the property was clean and comfortable. And with fresh eggs , oranges and avocados. What more can one ask for ?

Enchanting !

I came with five other for a weekend getaway. It was our first time staying on a farm. The connection with the earth, the citrus trees, the animals was absolutely precious! Mimi, Thank you for the opportunity and for being such a warm hostess. We felt well cared for.

Early October stay

Very nice and comfortable house nestled into a citrus grove on an really nice piece of property. Far enough outside of Ojai to have a country feel but only a few minute to get into town. The property description on VRBO was accurate. A grate jumping off point for journey’s up the Maricopa Hwy. Mimi was a wonderful and attentive host. I will definitely be returning.

Citrus, hiking, beauty and nature!

Wow, this place is amazing! The house was the perfect size for a weekend with my parents, my partner and our 2 month old baby. The living room looks out onto tangerine, Valencia orange and avocado trees, and strolling around the orchard was lovely. Mimi showed us how to walk through the property to the back gate on Rice Road, where you can walk to some great hikes in the the Ventura River Preserve. She also left us fresh milk, yogurt, eggs and butter. What a great host! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet few days in nature close to excellent hiking.

Excellent response

The property met all our needs and expectations. The grove is absolutely lovely and the bed is super comfortable. There were lots of homey touches like fresh flowers, the layout of the house was perfect for our needs, and the location is so convenient. There was an unexpected, significant mechanical issue and when we reached out to our host, she responded immediately, graciously, and really jumped through hoops to ensure the issue was resolved immediately. She made sure our trip there to see family wasn't impacted at all. Looking forward to staying here again!

Fabulous farm

Mimi could not possibly have been any kinder or more attentive to us. We had the opportunity to meet and share information. Upon arrival, we were gifted delicious treats, wonderful teas and quality coffee, which obviously showed care. The massive amount of rain held us inside one day however there was multiple books, new games and appropriate toys for all the guests. We had a fantastic time exploring the farm, feeding the animals, and picking fruit. The house was immaculately clean and full of everything we needed for a successful stay. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and the rest of the house very comfortable with 2 full bathrooms and 3 large bedrooms, one of which is a suite. The surrounding areas-mountains and towns are very beautiful and relaxing. We are already scheduling to go back to Mimi’s farmhouse!

The best vacation rental I’ve ever stayed in

This property is magical. My husband and I needed a vacation rental after we were displaced from the fires in Los Angeles and we couldn’t feel any luckier to have discovered this gem. It’s cozy and comfortable and clean and safe, and the care and pride Mimi takes in the property and her role as a host is apparent in every interaction. The property is stunning — with mountain vistas, citrus trees and a pair of wonderful cows within walking distance. This place will forever hold a special place in our hearts!

Loved our stay on the farm

This was our second time staying at the guest farmhouse and we love it each time. We love picking the fresh oranges and grapefruits. Our kids love seeing the chickens and cows and making fresh orange juice. Can’t wait for our next trip back.

Amazing property

The property is awesome and fully stocked. The home was clean and came with everything you might need. Including games, extra blankets, cows to feed, orchards to walk through and even shampoo. The house was located in an idea spot it was dark and quiet at night. This was a true gem!

Family Reunion

Mimi's guest house was clean, easy to find, in a beautiful setting if you want to stop or participate in local activities for all ages. The home was supplied with everything you need if you're a home cook or not. And at the end of the season the land continued to blossom with, grapefruit, tangerines, lemons pomegranates, figs and so much more for you to enjoy and explore. My family enjoyed the home to reconnect and enjoy. I would recommend this and will be returning myself. Thank you, Mimi.

Tranquil Ojai Orchard

My daughters and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Ojai. The location is perfect, far enough from town to feel immersed in nature, yet close enough to get to restaurants and stores quickly. We enjoyed many of the hiking trails along the Ventura River. Mimi is one of the best hosts we have had during our years of renting VRBO homes. Would love to stay here again.

Wonderful Experience on the Farm

We loved staying at this wonderful home in Ojai! The house is comfortable and well stocked. We absolutely loved picking oranges and grapefruits every morning. We took Mimi's advice to go to Rory's Place & Ojai Rotie for dinner. Both restaurants were excellent! We will definitely rent here again!

Home and property were fantastic. It was a wonderful stay for family's young and old. Host was amazing, we arrived to farm fresh eggs, fresh fruit, and beautiful flowers. Property was great for walking with our kids in the orchards and to visit the chickens and cows. Wonderful stay.

Lovely home on a lovely farm!

Mimi helped make our visit to Ojai for a family wedding an absolute delight! Her personal touches were much appreciated. Walking amongst the orange and avocado trees quickly became a rejuvenating pass time for every family member…sometimes in a group and sometimes for a nice solo walking meditation while breathing in the delightful scents of orange blossoms. Feeding pixies to the farm cows was my favorite pass time! We hope to return soon. Thank you Mimi!

Beautiful home in an orchard

Very peaceful. Trees and birds. Beautiful vistas from home and veggie garden. Clean, fresh and comfortable furnishings and linens, and nice patio. Great layout with well spaced bedrooms. Orchids and fresh flowers on the dining table. Enjoyable walk around the property and down the private road. delicious orange juice. Convenient to store and downtown. We hope to visit again soon.

Mimi was very welcoming and had a beautiful arrangement of flowers welcoming us on our arrival day. The rooms are large and comfortable. The property is fabulous, walking through the orchard and smelling the orange blossoms was a highlight of our trip. We did a spa day at Ojai Valley Inn and spent a lot of time exploring down town. Great location that was an easy drive to everything.

Perfection

Our three generation family had a joyful visit at this wonderful little retreat amongst pixie oranges and avocados trees! Mimi was totally gracious and available to help us sort things out and make the farm experience for our 7 year old grandson really magical. She taught him to collect the eggs from the chickens and to feed the pixies to her two cows, and even got on the floor to play with him with one of the building sets. We were encouraged to pick all the pixies (mandarins) and oranges (Valencias) we wanted, and between the fresh orange juice and the fresh eggs, we had bountiful and delicious breakfasts. We would stay here in a heartbeat whenever we want to stay in Ojai and actually can't wait to come back! Highly recommended.

It was hard to leave!

This was totally our speed. We have 4 kids ranging in ages 3-8, and it was so much fun for them. We pet the cows on the property, picked tangerines and ate right from the trees, walked around the orchards, visited an amazing park right in downtown Ojai, hiked close by and enjoyed the owl on the property that hung out by us day and night. We will definitely be back.

Delightful stay

An enchanting spot. We took strolls each morning through the orchard, gazed out at the mountains and relaxed on the sun-filled patio, leaving us rested and rejuvenated. The home is well-equipped and filled with nice touches like fresh flowers and and a juicer to squeeze orange juice. Mimi was helpful and responsive when we needed her. Highly recommended.

Lovely stay on the orchard

First off, the host, Mimi, was amazing! She was so very attentive and brought us farm fresh eggs, fruit, flowers, and more. The guesthouse on the orchard was a perfect location for our family get together after the long pandemic. I had not really considered the aspect of the stay on an active orchard; but it was a super bonus being able to pick fresh grapefruits, oranges, tangerines and squeeze juice daily. Also the the access to the garden for fresh kale, peppers, and herbs was a delicious add to our meals. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking larger suppers for our family. And the property location is only a few minutes away from the main part of Ojai.

Magical, comforting, amazing

Just a top-notch experience from start to finish. My family of 5 stayed at Mimi’s guest house for 5 weeks while the sailboat we live on was undergoing repairs. The house couldn’t have been better for us and we were very comfortable the entire time. We took advantage of the orange and pixie trees, the late season garden, and the orchard grounds. Mimi delivered fresh eggs and flowers each week, and even bought day-old chicks for my 14-year old to tend during our stay. Had wonderful communication with Mimi during our stay. Just so, so great.
