Kim was very helpful and accommodating! It was really nice having the family around working on the farm. Very unintrusive and very friendly!Beautiful property, wonderful to walk on and swimming in the lake was very refreshing! Most of all being surrounded by the beauty and quiet made for a wonderful, relaxing and fun filled weekend! It was fabulous! Thank you!
WOW! What a wonderful place to stay! It was everything we expected and MORE! We had so much fun watching the 2024 Solar Eclipse and celebrating our friend's anniversary!
This VRBO is the best property I've ever rented. The property is beautiful and the house is gorgeous! It was extremely clean and all the furniture was very comfortable. Communication with the owner was smooth and she was very responsive. I'd recommend this property if you're in the Washington, MO area; it would make a fun weekend trip to the wineries in the area.
A perfect getaway in a gorgeous area. The cabin was impeccable, from the cleanliness to the attention to detail from our hosts, including the warm plate of cookies that was waiting for us when we arrived. Beds were incredibly comfortable and the morning view made you want to stay there and reminisce. Five stars! Amazing cabin - highly recommend!
House was very spacious and clean. Air conditioning worked well. Have had difficulty in changing our booking and in receiving a refund for the night we cancelled 3 months before we stayed - still ongoing. Not sure what the issue is but hoping to be resolved soon. Communication with the host has been good otherwise.
We were attending a family wedding at Sunset Bluffs and wanted a place to stay that was close to the venue. This home was perfect. Not only was it close to the venue but the property was absolutely stunning. It was so nice and relaxing to wake up with beautiful views. The long driveway was a perfect morning walk where we saw deer, hawks and other wildlife. The home was the perfect retreat from the hectic wedding. Thank you for sharing your home and farm with us!!
If you are looking for a piece of paradise this is it. Serene and quiet! No sounds except nature. I felt like a guest at the family farm. Everything you need provided for a get away in the countryside. Easy access to nearby towns and city life but a tranquil place to come back too. Fishing and small lake to enjoy. Spacious for entertaining and hosting many friends too.
Fabulous house and setting with the pond which is big enough for kayaking, paddle boating and fishing. I would have rated it a 5 it had a better fire pit and bbq set up. The backyard would be a great place for a fire pit area overlooking the pond. The current fire pit is a small portable stand from a big box store and the charcoal grill was in pretty bad shape, but we worked around that and had a great stay in a very nice, updated farm house. You won't be disappointed if you need a quiet, relaxing place to recharge.
Beautiful home and property. Kim was extremely helpful and responsive. We spendt most of time in the lake. Swimming, paddle boating, and kayaking. Only downfall, online description said washer and dryer and not true. Kim did offer her personal washer and dryer, but would have been nice with the lake. Our towels were always wet from showering after the lake! Would def come back!
The drive from the highway to the property is down a long tree lined gravel road. Beautiful! The house is lovely and spotless. Everything we needed was provided. The house is secluded affording total privacy. There are lots of windows giving great views of the lake. The only issue we encountered was the cooling in two of the bedrooms. The owner thoughtfully had placed fans in those two rooms and had them running when we arrived. More was needed. The loft was very warm, and the air conditioning just didn't do the trick. We feel a window air conditioner is needed at least in the loft and perhaps in the small bedroom. Other than that, this was a prime spot for our family of 8.
We stayed at the farm recently for our annual cousin weekend. Everything was lovely in the house and we enjoyed sitting out on the back porch looking at the lake. Short drive from St. Louis and close to the wineries :-) We look forward to returning again!
The stay way was very relaxing. The fish were plentiful to catch. The location was fabulous to be able to drive quickly into town for dinner or shopping. Overall great experience. We did have yard work done while staying on the property which was a little intrusive but again it was overall a nice stay.
Four dads along with six boys ranging in age from 10-13 had an absolute BLAST hanging out together at this magnificent property! Between swimming, boating, fishing, & canoeing there was no time for electronics or boredom. The host was terrific! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!
Blessed through Jonathan & Kim's time, efforts, talents & thoughtfulness creating a Relaxing Rustic Retreat for our family visit that we will always treasure. Thank you for sharing Vossel Valley with us.
We enjoyed a fun weekend of fishing, relaxing and exploring the local area from this beautiful lakefront home. It was sparkling clean, well-furnished and has a dock to a small private lake where we kayaked and fished for hours. Our hosts were professional, responsive and friendly. We would welcome the opportunity to stay at this property again!
