This was a room in a shared bed and breakfast. The entire house was beautiful, clean, and updated just enough to be comfortable in an old house. I would 100% stay here again!
I stayed in the In and Out room over a weekend to go to some concerts. The room has been updated since the pictures on VRBO, and was much nicer than I anticipated. It also has a separate door so I could come and go late at night without going through the whole house. A lot of restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance.
Communication w/host was excellent! He was very responsive to my questions/concerns. I loved the house, it was decorated beautifully and was very quaint!
Quiet location. Excellent host. Would help if there were power outlets for laptops in the common areas. Internet doesn't work in the kitchen.

Home was lovely—old, homey building with remodeled kitchen and bathroom. Despite this, I would never stay here again, and unless you’re a couple doing a long-term rental, I would encourage you to avoid this property. The host/manager was awful. When I arrived there was no toilet paper in the only bathroom (shared) on my floor, and the trash in the bathroom was full to the top. I called the number posted, and the host helped me get into a locked closet to stock the bathroom with toilet paper and the kitchen with towels, which I was happy to do. The unit advertises that is has air conditioning. When, at midnight, the house was 78 degrees and the thermometer was locked, I reached out to the host and asked him to out on the air conditioning (it’s hard for most adults to sleep if it’s hot). He texted me at 5a very frustrated. He said he doesn’t put the air conditioning on when the outside temperature is cool, and he expects renters to open windows if they are hot. I told him that I tried to open the two windows in my room, but one was broken (and would not stay open), and opening the other let in light and noise. He relented by saying that he would drop the temperature to 73 degrees, but not go any lower, as he claimed the thermostat didn’t drop below 73. That was odd. That morning, around 8a, I asked if I could get a second towel for the shower. When I asked again, he said I would have to pay $10, which I thought was nuts.” He then said that my requests were harassment!
The property is extremely wall maintained and beautifully decorated. The second floor suite of common rooms and bedrooms would be ideal for a family group or close group of friends.
My only problem was the lack of hand rails on the inside stairs. I would definitely consider staying here again!
Cozy and comfortable room in a nice and quiet neighborhood. House is very well maintained and super clean. Check in process is easy and friendly. Host maintained great communication and is very accommodating. Highly recommended!
This property was a quiet and peaceful place to stay, with other friendly guests sharing the common area. The host was extremely good at responding to my messages right away, and I had everything I needed. It was a bit far from downtown and the grocery, etc., but the 57 bus line is a short walk, so I was able to easily get everywhere I wanted to go.
I’m traveling from China and this was my first time using an app for a stay and I’m so happy I was so lucky to find this place. The house is beautifully decorated and well managed and it’s even a smart house! It’s over a 100 year old building and still has so much technology!
The host, Charles, is incredibly attentive and takes his job very seriously. Gives every guest special attention if needed and is very welcoming and friendly.
Would 100% recommend to anyone staying in Boston, MA.
You’d be lucky if you get to stay here. Amazing place through and through!
