Cozy house within walking distance of the historic downtown district.

Charming 1925 brick 3 bedroom, 2 full bath house, with an office. This house is within walking to many restaurants, Houck Stadium, Escape Cape, bars, down town Cape Girardeau, and the Mighty Mississippi. Also, just a short 5 minute drive to SEMO , the Show Me Center, and Century Casino. 5.4 miles from Sportsplex.
Check in time 3:00 p.m.

One car off street parking. On street parking as available.
Great back yard for sitting and taking in the beautiful wisteria, and other plants, and a great little front deck to watch the street views.


Please note that there is no true dining room table. It does have a dining island, and we have a TV trays available. There is a folding table and 4 folding chairs available if needed. There are out door only cameras for security. The basement is not accessible to guest.

Great place!!

So close to SEMO. Beds are a bit smaller than our liking, but the location and convenience keeps us coming back when visiting our daughter there.

Visiting family for Thanksgiving

The owner was very gracious in all communication. The housewas just aas pictured. It was vey well decorated, as well as thoughtful in thinking of guest's needs.Would stay again.

Great location close to SEMO

We enjoyed our stay! Great location with plenty of parking-accommodated our two cars. Close to SEMO main campus and the River Campus. It’s an older home but has been upgraded and very well maintained with lots of fun decor. Will stay again next time we come to Cape. Thank you!

Baseball weekend

Very nice stay. Very clean. There is everything where what you need to enjoy your stay. Owner even provided toothbrush and toothpaste. Very good And fast communication with tho host. Short walk to SEMO and Capaha field. Mary Jane’s restaurant around the corner. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed the Cape

This house was great being centrally located to campus and the downtown area. Restaurants are within walking distance. The house is cozy and comfortable. We made dinner one evening and found all the cooking supplies we needed. At night it was quiet and we all slept comfortably! Overall our stay was perfect!

Cozy and quaint

Cozy House is a perfect place for a weekend getaway. It felt like home. I loved the decor and theme of the house which was beach and marine life with little gnomes tucked in spots throughout the house. The house was very clean and they even provided coffee and the bathroom essentials you would get in a hotel. The floors do creek a lot but that is what you would expect with a house that’s 96 years old. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Cape Girardeau Getaway

The house served us well for a short stay to explore Cape Girardeau. It was clean and centrally located. It is a tastefully renovated older home that retained the atmosphere of it's era; creaky wood floors, small rooms and old style plumbing. It was tight when preparing and serving meals. We had breakfast at this home and ate larger meals at restaurants. I would rate it higher, but felt it would be unfair to other, upscale VRBO properties we have rented.

Perfect SEMO and Down Town access

We had a comfortable stay. The owner said the house was 100 years old but it has been updated to modern time. Beautiful wooden floors. The location was perfect and the owners thought of everything to include in the house for accommodations. Will definitely return.

Lovely home in Cape Giradeau!

House was easy to find and communication with the hosts was great. Keyless entry was convenient. The house is an older house that has been kept up very well. I absolutely loved the wood flooring and decor throughout the home. There is a living room, kitchen, two bedrooms and a full bathroom downstairs. Upstairs is a bedroom with a full bathroom attached. The attention to detail here in every area of the home was quite nice. The living room had inviting couches and a tv. My son LOVED the starfish/sand dollar tic-tac-toe game! Bedrooms all had comfy beds, soft sheets/pillows and plenty of space for storage. The bathrooms both had plenty of towels and some complimentary toiletries including toothbrushes/toothpaste which was a very nice touch that I wish all VRBO's included. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need to prepare any food. There were a few cold waters in the fridge waiting for us as well as some k pods for the Keurig machine. The kitchen was a bit on the smaller side and had 2 chairs to sit at the island/bar. There was no dedicated dining area, however the owners did have a foldable table and chairs in one of the closets that could be set up if you needed more dining space, which was very considerate. We had such a wonderful stay here at this lovely house. We would definitely recommend it to anyone who will be staying in the area. Thank you to the hosts for all the work you've put into making this property such a welcoming place. Blessings!
