This was our first houseboat vacation and it didn’t disappoint! We love seeing all the hustle and bustle of Key West but loved coming back to our peace and tranquillity each night and waking up and having coffee on one of the decks! We will definitely do it again!
We stayed here for a few nights for a bachelorette party. We had a blast!
Great views, enjoyed the pool, and we got the opportunity to meet the host, Brad. He was very nice and understanding. Very genuine and down to earth. Boat was clean and had everything we needed. Short drive to shops, restaurants and the party scene. Awesome time!
Wonderful accommodations! Boat was very comfortable. There is nothing within walking distance, but we managed. Should probably change the cover picture to a more current photo, beautiful views!
One of the tallest boast in the Marina. Top deck is amazing to watch sunrises and sunsets- gorgeous! Would like to see a few lounge chairs available on the top deck. Seat cushions could use a refresh. Beds were comfortable and we loved the amenities at the Marina.
The Traquilo was an unique and interesting experience. Definitely beats a normal hotel room. The accommodations were very nice and the addition of the Yacht Club amenities made it even better.
Brad was a good host, but it’s the only time I’ve had a property manager or owner invite themselves over during a stay. Small mix up about keeping a boat next to the house boat, but got it worked out with the marina manager.

I really didn't want to do this. However, 4 stars and "invite themselves over..." is just a bit too much.
This guest very nearly got me thrown out of my Yacht Club..
I meet my guests on arrival at the marina to get them and their gear on board, give a brief walk through of the house boat to show where things are and answer any questions my guests might have about the boat, the Yacht Club and whatever local info the guest may need.
This Guest arrived after midnight, which I didn't know was going to be the case until the day of their arrival and because of their very late arrival I would not be able to meet them. So we made arrangements that I would come by at an agreed upon time the next day, which I did.
That is the "invite themselves" business.
In fact, after that one visit I didn't find out what they had actually done until an hour after they checked out because I don't invite my self over. Ever.
I have never and never would show up at any of my properties uninvited or unannounced unless there was an emergency.
This guest arrived hauling a 50 foot trailer with his 40 foot, 4 engine boat which was to be tied up to the side of the house boat for their use during their stay as I had made arrangements with my marina for them to do weeks prior to their arrival. This was also the first time I had requested this from my marina.
That next morning I met the guest for the customary walk through and then met with the guest and marina management to get information regarding launching their boat (they had not made arrangements) and see if there was a slip available for an additional 30 foot boat they had brought without securing slip space for it. My marina was fully booked. However, there is next to my boat, the only privately owned large slip in the marina and it was empty.
I made arrangements for a meeting with the guest and marina management wherein he and I inquired about possibly renting that empty slip belonging to my neighbor for this guest's extra, unannounced boat.
Management informed us both in that meeting that that privately owned slip was absolutely Not To Be Occupied Under Any Circumstance and that the slip's owner occasionally sent a guy around to make sure it stayed that way.
I found out an hour after they checked out that this guest had parked in and been using, for multiple nights, The Actual Slip that the guest had been specifically instructed against, Not Only for their 30' boat but also the original 40' boat which was supposed to be tied to the open port side of my house boat during their stay "because that was easier", when I got a phone call and an email from the Yacht Club's General Manager threatening my expulsion from the marina and the filing with the County Sheriff of trespassing charges for this guest. which I answered for and fortunately persuaded them against if this guests paid the marina slip fees of over $1000.
So this guest got just what they wanted, paid no extra for the dock fee than if they had properly planned ahead to book their slip(s) and I got left with my tenure at my Yacht Club and the happy home for my business in jeopardy.
I only reluctantly write this because I'd have thought that after the "treatment" that I got from this guest they'd at least give an honest review.
It was a great experience. Owner Brad is awesome and very helpful . Yacht is well equipped and has everything you need . We will definitely go again . Thank you Brad
