Lagoalinda Inn is a 14 bedroom inn that is known for it's charm and warm Southern hospitality. Built in 1925, the inn boasts of bead board walls, antiques and delightful homey feel. It will be your home away from home.
We have wonderful outdoor spaces for you to enjoy!
The spacious front porch filled with rocking chairs just waiting for you to rest, relax and refresh. You can look out over the sparkling waters of pristine Lake Junaluska right from the front porch. The side yard has a waterfall, grill and picnic tables. Also, enjoy our prayer garden with seating and a smokeless firepit.
Venture into the gathering room filled with comfy chairs and couches...a fabulous place to read by the fireplace, conduct meetings, play games or perhaps meet new friends.
Our guest kitchen features all of the amenities of home including dishware, pots, pans, coffee makers, microwave. dishwasher and more. A dining area adjoins the kitchen where you can gather for meals and snacks.
Traverse the grand staircase to the upper hall which has several conversation areas and many antique decorations. There are 10 themed bedrooms on this floor and 9 bathrooms. Each room has comfortable beds and charming décor including antiques. There is also a veranda that has fantastic views of Lake Junaluska. The veranda has a table and chairs for morning coffee!
This large majestic home is perfect for family reunions, retreats, weddings, large groups, families and children.

We recently held a private ceremony at the Inn with a large number friends and family attending that lasted several days. We could not have asked for a better venue. It was beautiful, comfortable, spacious, and well set up. Attendees fell in love with it. The location feels remote yet has plenty of services near by. The hosts were kind, responsive, and accommodating. Would give it more than 5 stars if I could.

This was the perfect venue to host a songwriters' reunion. The Lagoalinda Inn is SPOTLESSLY CLEAR, well-maintained and restored where needed. The interior design and decor is very nicely done. Everyone loved their room and bathroom. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for a large group. The outdoor grill came in handy for a burgers-and-hot-dogs lunch.The hosts (Ted and Ruth) were over-the-top terrific. Great communications and lots of small touches that helped to make our stay such a success. Ted provided a nice history of the area and of the Inn.

This was a great place for a 30 person wedding. Ted and Ruth were great. The location is perfect for all ages. There is a pool, lake and plenty of outdoor activities. We loved playing pickle ball. The house was very clean and had plenty of bathrooms. We can not recommend it enough.

We had a family gathering with over 30 people and this house was perfect for us. Lots of room and plenty of activities for everyone. Owners were very responsive and helpful. We loved staying here.

Sweet little Inn - perfect for groups of family

We enjoyed getting to meet the Inn Keepers, the home was beautiful and the location was perfect. The bathrooms are a little dated and small in some of the room but all were working and met our needs.

The property was perfect for our community group weekend retreat. We had a range of ages from 4 to 55 and all enjoyed! Sweet house and community that afforded us more than enough space and activities.

Great place in a great location!

We loved the location on the lake and all the activities available across the street. Also enjoyed all the bedrooms with their own bathrooms! The kitchen is a little small if you're going to cook for 30+ people. We enjoyed our stay!

Great retreat spot!

The Lagoalinda Inn was the perfect spot for our retreat for our college students. They had the space they needed to do their sessions in the common space and plenty of room to spread out for sleeping arrangements. The location was awesome with activities right across the street and excursions and sights within walking distance! My only note is that the kitchen is a little small for cooking for 50 people— but doable with strategy! We enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Fantastic Venue for a Wedding Party or Family Reunion

I cannot overstate how enjoyable our stay was. We had 9 couples and everyone truly enjoyed the ambiance of the Inn and the attention to detail the innkeepers have. AND that porch. WOW! We spent hours on the rocking chairs enjoying each other, the view, and a few beverages along the way.

Family reunion

Great place for a family reunion. Plenty of private space as well as room to visit on the porch, in front of the fireplace or around the picnic tables. Front steps are steep and difficult for some to navigate. Would definitely make a return visit. Lovely flowers and gardens.

Adult Birthday Party Celebration

OUTSTANDING!!!! We used the property for a 60th Birthday party with 14 couples. Perfect location. Perfect accommodations. The owners/proprietors (not sure what you call them now) were very gracious and accommodating. Excellent locale. One I would certainly use again.

Great place for a relaxing gathering

A very quaint and clean experience. Had a family reunion here and it was a perfect spot. Everyone got their own room and the common area was large. But our favorite place was the front porch. We spent a lot fo time here enjoying the breeze and the great views of the lake area. Definitely recommend for a large gathering. It’s close enough to places but away from all the hustle and bustle.

Ted is a fantastic handyman and craftsman. He has certainly used his skills in this inn since we purchased it! Ruth enjoys the decorating aspect of the inn and also helps with inn improvement projects. We both love walking around the lake and fishing.

Why they chose this property

We stayed at this property for a week 5 summers in a row. We were so sad when we found out that it was going to be sold. We loved it so much that we found a way to become the new caretakers of this beautiful inn. However, we like to say "God owns it...we are just running it for Him"

What makes this property unique

We love the essence of Lake Junaluska and all of the history that it holds. We just wanted to help preserve the history of Lagoalinda Inn. We love the front porch!!
