Come create a relaxing, fun-filled vacation in our luxury home! Perfect for large family gatherings, our lake house boasts Main Lake views from the safety of a quiet cove!

Over 6000sf of living space includes a chef kitchen, home theatre, 5 bedrooms + bunkbed area --including 2 Masters, 2 Family Rooms and an oversized Screen Porch and Large Deck!

Enjoy your day in and around the newly renovated Dock with plenty of shade, including use of 3 kayaks, 2 SUPs and Water Trampoline (May - October) safely tucked in our Gaston Main Lake cove. We also have Corn Hole, giant Jenga and Bocce Ball for outdoor games.

Evening options include the Stone Firepit, Oversized Screened Porch, Ping Pong, Air Hockey, Pool Table, Board Games/Puzzles and/or enjoying a movie or sporting event screened in your own Stadium-Seat Home Theatre!

The main floor hosts a large bedroom suite, guest bedroom, billiards room, gourmet kitchen, family room with gas fireplace (available November-March), laundry room and screened porched.

The bottom floor has a master bedroom suite, 2 guest bedrooms, kitchenette/bar (full fridge, sink, dishwasher), bunk area (open to theatre room), family / game room, theatre room and deck.

Great stay at a great big house on the lake

We spent our annual summer family vacation at Lake Gaston this year and had a great time at Shannon and Chet's home. The house is huge, with an expansive main level that could accommodate all of our family. There are two primary bedrooms on the main levele that hsare a very large bathroom, and the remaining sleeping areas are all downstairs. Rooms are big and bright, and the furniture and beds were comfortable. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch, lake toys, but most of all, the beautiful new covered dock, which included a tv, bar, ceiling fans and plenty of space to be in or out of the sun. OVerall, it was a great trip.

Spacious and inviting home

We enjoyed our stay for the 2nd time there for my extended family. We love the setting on the lake and rented a boat and spent a lot of the time in the water or relaxing on the property. It accommodated our large group well and Shannon is a great host, willing to do whatever to ensure we have a great experience.. Don’t hesitate, book it before someone else.

Wonderful Lake Gaston Family Vacation

The home was perfect for our family of 11, from 9 to 71 years old. The kayaks and trampoline, as well as other floats we brought, made for great fun at the lake each day. The gourmet kitchen was much appreciated!

Amazing experience!

My friends and I traveled here for our Fall Break from college for a simple retreat and it had everything we could have wanted. The hosts were phenomenal and made it such a seamless process and the property was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this property to people looking for a nice relaxing weekend!

Grammy's 80th Birthday

Great place for the whole family to gather for Grammy's 80th birthday. Plenty of space for us all to gather for meals and hanging out. Fire pit each night and nice boathouse for our boat. Great place.

Beautiful House - Lots of Space

We met up with friends for a weekend. It's a beautiful house with lots of space. Very clean, well stocked and kids loved the ping pong table, air hockey and all other amenities. We loved the place. Will definitely go back.

Great house at a reasonable price

We had a small family gathering for an early Thanksgiving and this house was great. Kids and teens enjoyed the theater room, the dock and canoe and the pool and ping pong tables. The adults enjoyed the spacious kitchen and eating space, screened porch spaces and the fire pit. This house is perfect for a family gathering to make memories together. Great house and value with lots of amenities to enjoy.

One of our nicest family vacations

Anything you need is there, especially if you have a boat. A son-in-law from New York State towed his boat and was able to launch it at the nearby marina. The “kids” (age 15-26) tubed, paddle boarded, and used various floating devices. Of course, there was the highly contested family corn hole tournament. In other words, we had fun.

Great location.

The house was beautiful and spacious. We had a group of 19 with lots of teenagers. We really enjoyed our stay. The only thing I would say negative is the we are very hot natured people and we were a little hot the whole week as we could not put the ac below 74. But we adjusted. The grill could use an update. The knobs are broken and it is hard to light and regulate. Loved the media room and all the games. Swimming at the dock was great but we had to use our boat ladder to get out of the lake. The ladder on the dock does not go down far enough to get out for most of us. Overall a great week.

Spacious

Our family of 16 enjoyed the upper level greatroom with loads of room for eating and cooking and hanging out together. The kitchen is well stocked with dishware and countertop appliances. We also enjoyed lots of time on the screened in deck with a lake view. We were in the water every day and used the boats every day. We did not realise the 3 bunkbeds pictured were not a seperate room. The 3 bunkbeds are between the media area and the bar area on the lower level. It worked out fine for our family and the grandchildren slept just fine. There is a great firepit on the property, perfect for smores. We played many games of cornhole. We recommend this well appointed property for your family vacation. We had a very fun week.

Portside May Be Left but This Home Was Right For Us

Very nice home viewing it from the outside, however walking inside and experiencing the vast openness of the living area brought a smile to our faces. Everything you need is on the main level (except of course the need for more beds downstairs for sleeping). We had a table for just for playing cards and board games, outdoor and indoor dining tables, a billiard table, lots of counter seating for breakfast, lunch and snack times, a large TV easily seen from the living and dining areas on the main level. The kitchen was more than adequate for cooking great meals and experiencing the induction stovetop was a real treat. The water was boiling before I could say, 'Go Hokies, Beat Tarheels!' 🙂 The dogs had easy access to the front yard and plenty of room inside for their beds by the hearth. Comfortable beds and lots of bathrooms for everyone. No complaints. A short walk from the back of the house down to the private dock with plenty of room to sit, lounge or sunbathe. The cove is quiet and very inviting. There is a second covered slip if you bring or rent a boat. Evening fishing was a hit as catfish and bass were caught every night. Turtles, fish and osprey galore to enjoy watching each day. We could not have had a nicer week .

A Dream Vacation

If there is such a thing as a perfect place for a family vacation, this is it. We have three married daughters who came with their husbands and kids. We have 6 grandsons and 2 granddaughters, the oldest is 25, the youngest, 15. (One adult granddaughter was not able to come because of a commitment for work) The sleeping arrangements worked out well. The four "families" take turns preparing a dinner, one night we got take out. This year we bought it at El Huasteco and really liked it. Thursday was leftover night. One son-in-law brought his boat. He put it in the water at the nearby marina and was able to use your slip. It worked out perfectly and we enjoyed countless boat rides, Your paddleboat and trampoline were enjoyed immensely by the grandkids and their parents while one grandson caught a nice bass off of the deck. On Wednesday night, a grandson organized a family cornhole tournament with assigned teams and the presentation of a "Commissioner's trophy". We played 60's & 70's music during the games. Thursday evening we built a fire in the firepit and made smores. The only thing we would change is that we would arrange for it to not rain on Friday morning when we were packing our cars to go home. Thank you for a great week. We have already booked for next year.

Our family of 8 adults had a wonderful stay! The house has everything you could possibly want or need in the kitchen. The two dishwashers and oversized fridge was a nice surprise. We spent our whole day on the dock playing cards, kayaking and paddle boarding. Definitely considering coming back next year.

Spacious accommodations; Newly covered dock; Well appointed kitchen; convenient location.

Great place to vacation for our family of 14; 6 adults and 8 kids 1yr to 12 years old. House was very spacious, especially the main level which included two large dining tables which comfortably sat 8 people. Kitchen was very well appointed with more plates, glasses and utensils than any place we have stayed in past 7 years. Also 2 pot coffee makers, a Keuric, 2- 4 slice toasters and every cooking pot and utensil you could need.The temperature every day during our visits was 90 degrees and humid so the newly covered dock with 2 ceiling fans was a salvation. The 8 grandkids had Great time on the water trampoline. And who knew that the large connect 4 game on the screened in porch would be such a hit….resulting in a single elimination tournament that include all but the 1 and 3 year old.Everyone in our group had a great time and the host Shannon was very congenial and responded immediately to any questions. We are hoping to return next year!

family vacation on Lake Gaston

This was a fantastic property for our annual family vacation. Our group included 8 adults, 1 teen, 4 kids over age 9, and 3 kids under age 6. The layout was great for our needs with the families with younger children having the space they needed for naps and earlier bedtimes, older/teen children having dedicated areas, and each adult couple having their own bedroom. The common areas were nice, there was more than enough parking for our 4 vehicles. There was a DG Market within 5 miles and a Walmart within 25 minutes. The dock was the highlight of the property for our family. The water was deep enough to dive into safely from the end of the dock and we had many hours of fun on the paddle boards and water trampoline. I recommend bringing your own lifejackets as there were not many on site and none were for smaller bodies.

Family vacation

We had a lovely time at Shannon’s place. Our 95 year old matriarch and her 97 yr old best friend joined us. The house setup is ideal for large gatherings. Not only are there beds everywhere, there are 2 sets of washers and dryers, 3 dishwashers, 2 refrigerators and the kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glasses and good silverware. Enough for any large event. Water access was perfect for us as well. Shannon is a marvelous host.

Hottest Week of the Summer

Overall the house was excellent for out large family of 13. The 2 dishwashers, 2 sink and 2 refrigerators, 2 washer and dryers were amazing to keep everything organized. We only went out to dinner one night. The Pointe, has amazing food and we feed the large fish and Shannon responded quickly to any questions and concerns. The A/C was not working properly and she got a tech the next day and got it fixed. Wished the porch downstairs has less cobwebs so we could set there. The kids enjoyed all the games, the theater room and we rented a boat for most of the week. We put the boys in the bunk room witht the theater room, although it wasn't a private area, it worked out.
