Second time at the house and had a great time. Plenty of good beaches nearby and swimming pool in the garden kept everyone entertained for hours. Host is very helpful and welcoming.
This was one of the best accommodations any of us have ever stayed at. Cannot recommend it enough. Hubert was so lovely and very easy to contact throughout the trip. The house is beautiful and the village has some excellent places to eat out. We will definitely want to come and stay here again. Thank you!
Wonderful mansion in a unique location: On the top of a hill overlooking the town of Lamballe - yet a 5 minute walk from the center of town, with restaurants, bakeries, shops, and everything. Hubert was a great host that was very helpful when needed and Lamballe is an execellent jumping off point to see Brittany.
This is a large property which is perfect for a large group with multiple generations. There are plenty of bathrooms, 3 being ensuite and an additional toilet downstairs.
The rooms are spacious, the kitchen has everything you could imagine and more and the garden and pool gave us and the children a great opportunity to have fun outside.
We enjoyed being able to walk into Lamballe and the beaches are easily accessible by car. There are also lots of lovely places to visit within reach.
We had a truly wonderful holiday.
Staying at this magnificent house was a joy to our group of 10 adults and two babies The house is undoubtedly the grandest house in this wonderful French town. And it’s just a few minutes walk from a beautiful square with great coffee, great people watching, and a simply lovely French market once a week. Super shopping, and you can walk to a supermarket as well. Our Group tends to self cater rather than eat out and everything we needed was there. It’s secure, private and the house stayed cool through one of the hottest periods in French summer history. The house has been in the same family ownership since it was built hundreds of years ago, and except for the first family has always been a holiday home. It has not been primped to perfection for non-family guests. Expect to feel just like you had arrived at your second home with a few bits and pieces that you had never get round to fixing… rather than arriving at a hotel with no character.Hubert the Owner is both charming and great to communicate with. A few words for the town… It is not suffering the way that many French towns are. The whole town has a gentle French quality and a sense of affluence . It’s not tourist ville. We didn’t hear an English voice in the whole of our day. And a 20 minute drive took us to some of the best beaches we’ve ever experienced.
We were 15 people and two generations staying in pittoresque Lamballe-Armor. House was beautiful and full of family history. Weather was a bit cloudy/rainy so we couldn’T use the nice garden pool as much as we wanted. Instead we spent time in spacious living room playing board Games. Hubert was very helpful and gave us useful hints for our stay. Dining room was spacious enough for all of us. House is placed in walking distance from some nice restaurants and it was luxurious to us to get fresh croissants every morning from the boulangerie.
The house is very well situated in Lamballe. Just a short 3-minute walk and you have everything you need: a butcher, bakery, local produce shop, wine shop, pharmacy, and more. The pool is a really good size and was a big hit with our children. They enjoyed it every single day!We also loved the old-world charm of the house, which gives it a very special character and atmosphere. The large garden in front of the house was wonderful, especially for playing football or badminton, and it was lovely to sit outside and enjoy our meals. The evenings were luckily quite warm, making it a real pleasure to spend time outdoors. We had a truly wonderful week at Hubert’s Manoir and enjoyed our stay very much!
Fantastisch huis.
