About this property

"Almost" Brand New 2020 "Modern Farm House ". Close to beach and wine country

It's called the 4 gables Farm House. High ceilings, open floorpan and porches.... lots of outside sitting porches with lovely teak furniture. It's a fun family home. Nestled in the coastal oaks on a private road with a private gate and fenced yard. Everything is "almost" new. Great beds, furniture and couches. Large family rooms with fireplaces and views of the oaks and glimpses of vineyards and the ocean. Three rooms have ensuite baths. Lots of teak outdoor furniture and a fire pit and gas BBQ grill.

Sparkling clean 4000 sq ft and it sleeps 12 people. The large apartment above the 3 car garage is 2 bedroom and 2 full baths and a great escape from any annoying kids, family or crazy relative. It also has a large deck off of the back with comfy chairs and rockers and a peek at the ocean. It also has a full kitchen and is 1200 square ft. So the whole house can accommodate 12 guests. Eight in the main part of the house and 4 up in the apartment. When my wife and I use the house we usually stay up in the apartment. It's like a private treehouse in the oaks.

The house was completed in the late summer of 2020 and fully furnished. The Kitchen is dialed in with every gadget, pot, pan, appliance and spice you might need. We stock paper plates, napkins ziplock bags, aluminum foil and everything else you'd have at your own house. All of the bedrooms are spacious and the ceilings are all 9 ft tall so it feels open and airy. The living, dining kitchen area is wide open which makes it a fun family friendly house to interact with the chefs in the group.

The master bedroom is located downstairs and has a private exterior door to a access the porch. The master bath is elegant and open. There are wood floors though out the house and the upstair bedrooms are carpeted. Being a new house the place is overly insulated, comfy and super quiet. The design is classic and as a builder this is one of the best designs I have ever built.

Our adult children live in the area and my son lives in the house next door. So if there are any needs that you might have.... someone from the family is just minutes away. The house is fully fenced and very private with an electric entry gate.

Niece's wedding in Nipomo
House is in a quiet secluded location, spacious with nice amenities. First floor master was excellent for my elderly parents. The above-garage "apartment" fantastic private space for my wife and I to get some peace and rest. Easy hop to grocery and restaurants.

Beautiful modern house with all details exquisitely taken care of
The house is modern, clean, comfortable and very well appointed. The outdoor area was excellent with a good grill, a propane fire pit and landscaped garden which inclined away from the house. One can clearly see all details have been thought of. From the modern kitchen appliances, the three sets of washer-dryers to the heated to the perfectly furnished walk in closets. On top of that Steve was attentive but not intrusive, polite and with a good sense of humour. We were a group of five couples and a single person. We could not have asked for a better property to catch up with each other. Thank you very much!

Gorgeous ranch home in Arroyo
We had the best time staying at this stunning ranch home in arroyo grande. The views were spectacular as we enjoyed coffee outside each morning and especially enjoyed the treehouse addition on the second story. The location was remote but still very accessible to our weekend activities in SLO- we couldn’t have chosen a better spot. Steve was the greatest host of all time and made sure our group was taken care of during our stay. Great communication and hospitality was 10/10. Hope to stay again soon!

Perfect stay
First of all, the home and everything in it is absolutely gorgeous, high quality and very well thought out. The cabinetry, appliances, and everything about the house is high quality. There were perfect extra touches from plenty of dishes, ceramic coated cast iron cookware, every type of stemware you need, down to the drawer full of spices, pantry with all types of staples, and Doterra soaps, lotions and bath products make this place a home away from home. The home was obviously built with pride of ownership. It gave all of us ideas for things we would like to put in our own home. We spent many happy hours in the spacious family room, huge kitchen and visiting around the gas fire pit. This was everything you would hope a vacation rental would be. Finally, The communications with the owners was pleasant, thoughtful and greatly appreciated. Steve has been amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. He made us feel welcomed and valued and we will return.

Family Christmas Reunion
As grandparents we hosted a Christmas reunion with our children and grandchildren (one family from Australia!) and could not have found a better place for all of us to stay. The house, the grounds, and the location were immaculate. Everyone remarked on how beautifully designed the whole home was. The layout allowed each family their own accommodations, with large common areas for whole family activities. Top-notch appliances and well-stocked kitchen equipment made meal preparation very helpful. Games for kids were a hit as well. The owner, Steve, was very attentive to any questions we had and very prompt with answers.

My wife and I live in Santa Barbara County but our children were raised in the San Luis Obispo area. They are all living very close the the VRBO rental. We have lived and worked in the Central Coast for over 40 years

Why they chose this property

As a builder I purchased 2 of these 5 acre parcels when they went on the market several years ago. My daughter was bugging me as to why I wasn't doing anything with them. What is it with Kids? Anyway ... between her mother the interior designer and my daughter a landscape artist and designer, and her husband a structural engineer and my other son who is also a licensed contractor .... we all said... lets build these lots out.

SLO county allows for a 1200 sq ft secondary home and a main house of any size so we put two homes on each lot and they turned out great. The property is a bit hidden and the oaks are wonderful. Lots of space, filtered well water with the latest greatest technology and 500 gallons of propane is a good start. Solar panels are now in place so leave the lights on.... Lots of folks have horses around this area which makes it pretty fantastic.

What makes this property unique

It's a big house. We have had other large vacation rentals and they are so great for family gatherings. This house is sweet in that it has a very private 2 bedroom apartment above the garage. It is quiet and a nice getaway for whoever books it or grandma and grandpa. If a lot of folks are in the house......this is the refuge. It is elevated and offers nice views with a balcony deck and comfortable furniture. It is a great house for family reunions and everyone enjoys the kitchen. We have chefs come in and they love the amenities.

My wife and daughter and daughter in law did a great job (meaning they spent a load of money) on the interior furniture and decorations. When it is not rented my wife and I will go up to visit the the kids and grandkids and guess where everyone likes to hang out?

I'm writing too much but we love to share this place and ....we get to enjoy it too. All we ask is that you treat it like your own and let us know if you break stuff. Its a new place and "stuff" happens so we continue to make it better based on your feedback,,,. which we appreciate. So far .......it has been pretty good.
