We have stayed in Sea Colony several times and always have a great time but this unit is dark, dated, and somewhat dingy. Convenient to pool and tennis.

Oversold and under delivered

The picture of the clean balcony could not be more misconstrued. It had a constant flow of leaf debris from the above balcony. It is a horrible design. The chairs were filthy. The smoke alarm went off at 3:00 am because of dead battery. Both sink and bathtub did not drain correctly. Both bathroom electrical outlets did not work.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit. We sincerely apologize for the problems you experienced. This property is in a wooded area so unfortunately there is no way to prevent leaves from falling onto the deck. We followed up on the bathroom outlets upon your departure and found it was the GFI that needed to be reset. The GFI's are there for everyone's safety in the event an electrical item is dropped in the water or the circuit is overloaded. Sand can accumulate in the drains and cause slow draining or a clog and we would have been more than happy to come out and address these issues for you in a timely manner had we just been made aware. We thank you again for all your feedback and we hope you might give us another opportunity to provide you with the excellent customer service we are known for. .

Great location!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The pool is right across from the parking lot. The beach shuttle is always convenient to get to the beach. This property needs a deep cleaning. The place was tidy and surface clean but a deep cleaning would be great before next season. The rug had stains and the walls, cabinets and furniture could use a wipe down with cleaning products.

linens and bathroom had hair and grime on some kitchen stuff. had to do laundry before we could sleep on the beds. furnishing tired and dated. this apartment needs a serious upgrade and a thorough cleaning

great spot but Vacasa drops the ball

The condo was great - very well equipped but a few small cleanliness items that should have not been overlooked from previous guests. End of first week in June and there seemed to be low occupancy in the units around us but it was very very quiet which was very nice!!! I like that this condo is among trees - very pleasant to sit on porch - in shade -and listen to birds. The condo is in the Sea Colony complex - of which we used none of the amenities as we were interested in Delaware State Park beaches. Sea Colony is a world in itself. Very nicely landscaped. My "complaint" is about Vacasa - the management company - and their communication before arrival and check-in. Before arrival, they send a bunch of emails, often with contradictory instructions about check-in. I called their customer service before arriving for clarification and they were less than helpful - as in not helpful at all. We had a late check-in on a Sunday evening - and customer service continued to give contradictory and false information. The email tells you to go their office, call and get an access code to a mail box (outside the office) - in the mail box is an arrival packet that includes parking permit. We called for the access code and were told no, proceed to the condo and packet would be there. We did as instructed but there was no packet there and no parking permit. So off to a security office (mile plus away) to get a temporary parking permit as there is plenty notice about towing if no permit. Bunch of wasted time. Monday morning at the Vacasa office, our packet awaited. There are other contradictory and less than straight forward things in the Vacasa emails and in Vacasa instructions in the condo. One in particular is about trash and check-out. In a few different ways, the instructions tell you that you have to remove the trash - but they never tell you where any dumpsters are. Frankly, renting a condo, I don't expect to have to drive my trash to a dumpster but that is what we did. That was kind of like camping. Now that I know how Vacasa does and doesn't work and I have a better idea of the Sea Colony complex, I would rent this condo again - very convenient for exploring Delaware beaches - but if I could give Vacasa a 0 instead of a 1, I would.

The interior of the condo was nice. I swept and scrubbed the porch and its furniture four times to get it decent enough to utilize. The air conditioner quit working on this last night. Overall it was fine though. Maybe 4 stars...
