Close to everything you need! The unit had all cooking utensils, grill, hot tub right outside, parking and steps from the local bust stop. Great vacation rental
The pictures gave me the impression there were two bedrooms, but there was only one, and without an attached bathroom. Great location though, just walked to the ski area - probably less than 1/2 mile to the Gondola.
Nice condo very close to the ski resort with access to shuttles
Overall a great place! A couple things to consider - the listing says 2 bedrooms but actually only has one bedroom and a loft area that is counted as a bedroom, and there are only two parking permits available.m for the property. The place is spacious, clean and looks like the photos. We had a great time!

The condo is good with lots of privacy. The location is great. The thermostats are old fashioned. Even though there are two full bathrooms, if two people try to take shower at the same time, the hot water runs out. The condo is clean, well equipped and well furnished.
But needs serious updating. All fixtures and furniture and carpet appear to be from the 70s. Also need more coffee. There was no detergent for washing machine. Can’t see tv from either couch. Steep skinny stairs. No blow drier in master. Twin beds mattresses were uncomfortable.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience. While we're glad you stayed with us, we’re very sorry that several aspects of the property did not meet your expectations.
We understand your concerns about the outdated furniture, fixtures, and carpet, and we’ve shared your comments with the owner for review as we assess needed updates to the unit. Thank you as well for noting the missing detergent, limited coffee, and lack of a blow dryer in the master bedroom. These amenities should have been provided, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We’ve addressed these items with our team to ensure they are properly stocked moving forward.
We also appreciate your feedback regarding the TV visibility, steep stairs, and the comfort of the twin mattresses. While the layout cannot be changed, we are reviewing options to improve furniture placement and bedding comfort to enhance the overall guest experience.
Your comments are truly valuable and help us identify important areas for improvement. We hope you’ll consider staying with us again so we can provide a more updated, comfortable, and enjoyable stay.
It's not ideal to walk but it saves time dealing with a car at the Steamboat Resort parking lot. We are able to walk to the resort with our gear and back. There's a shuttle stop that will help you get to downtown. Kitchen is updated but don't expect to find any aluminum foil or plastic ziplock if you need to cook or bag up a lunch. This is not a negative just a FYI for your planning purposes. Check in with Retreatia was fast and simple same with check out. Just the standard take out the trash and start the dishwasher. It's not like other places where they have you gather up linens are start the laundry for them so thank you for that.

It sounds like the location was pretty convenient despite the walk, and it’s nice to hear the check-in and check-out process was simple. It’s always those little things, like not having some kitchen essentials, that can catch you off guard. But sounds like the rest of your experience was smooth. Will you be making another trip to Steamboat anytime soon, or are you exploring other spots for your next getaway?
This was an okay stay. It's advertised accurately. Though there is a cleaning fee and you'll need to still do work yourself. There were multiple spider webs around spots in the home. If it wasn't for the cleaning fee I would have likely overlooked those but having a kiddo crawling around next to them was less than stellar. As for the property it's priced and advertised as expected. Not modernized but that's taken into account. The bed was honestly nicer than plenty I've slept in where everyone sinks to the middle. We slept just fine. The location is great. We walked to/from the Steamboat gondola with ease. Parking is tough to grab a spot but given you can walk around that helps. The pool and hot tub area is a short distance and was nicely maintained.Entry is through a digital keypad so not having to drive into the location for a welcome packet was pleasant. We could go right there and get in/check out.The upstairs shower seemed finicky. We didn't want to mess with the doors.Overall it was a pleasant stay for the price in the area. It'd just have been nice to have it be a bit cleaner given the cleaning fee being paid.
It was a great place to stay. We loved the condo. We were very challenged with transportation.
This was a beautiful fun property.
The transportation promised by retredia was horrible. They promised a shuttle service for our stay and when we called on our second day there they told us they were over booked for the day. We were strained several times because of this.
Your property is too nice of a property to use a company to book it that lets guest down.

We apologize again for the issue with the shuttle service. It does book up quickly and they're working hard to shuttle guests to and from.
Great location plenty room for family to enjoy. Nice pool close to unit.
Overall good , water leak in main floor ceiling reported last 3 days never taken care of. Ended up emptying bucket and mopping up floors every few hrs :(
Do yourself a favor and don't rent this unit or through Vrbo and Retreatia.
I have rented through Vrbo many times and have literally never had a problem - until now.
The unit clearly had not been cleaned prior to our arrival, as the cooktop was dirty, there were dead bugs in the lower bathroom, and both bathrooms had a large amount of thick black hair in the drains and on the floor. And they charged me $200 + in cleaning and service fees.
That was not the worst part. The queen bed must not have been replaced in forever, as the mattress formed a v-shape, causing two parties to move to the center all night. It also made it difficult even to get out of the bed. The rental manager, Retreatia, must have known there is a problem, as someone had put two thin pieces of foam on the mattress, with no effect.
I wrote to Retreatia in the morning to report the disgusting state of cleanliness and the mattress. They apologized for the cleaning and said they would send someone to clean, and said they "had never had any complaints about the bed." I said I found that hard to believe, and referred to the foam inserts mentioned above.
I asked that they move us to another unit but was told that "there is legit nothing else available", and they refused. They said the GM would come to the unit to check it out. After that they informed me that they saw the problem and that they would buy a foam pad at a local store to make it better. I agreed to try but asked they move us if it didn't work. They found a pad and we used it the second night, with almost no improvement. I sent a message to Retreatia to inform them of this, and asked once again that they move us for the last two nights of our trip. They simply ignored my email. It got so bad that my partner woke up after the third night with bad back pain, so we ended up having to leave early and forego our last night.
I still have yet to hear from Retreatia, but will dispute this with my credit card company. As stated in the title, please look at the Google reviews for Retreatia in general, and don't book anything through them, and certainly not Hillside 2 in Steamboat.
