A beautiful property in a quiet location. The heated pool was clean and the views were panoramic. Jean and his lovely wife were very accommodating and they made our stay a peaceful and enjoyable time.
Jean was the perfect host and did everything that he could to ensure that we had a wonderful stay. Our family and dog loved it. The pool was spotless and location is great for St Emilion.
Beautiful setting in rural France. Close to many small towns with restaurants and groceries. The house has everything you need. Beautiful pool area although it was too cool for us to use. Lovely gifts of honey and wine upon arrival. Jean is a beekeeper!
We stayed at Jean's place during our minimoon - it was a lovely location with a private garden and pool, a short drive away from some great restaurants and vineyards. The place was very clean and the hosts were very welcoming upon arrival, we'd definitely go back! Thank you for a great stay Jean!
The arrival process was handled professionally, and even though we arrived really late, nothing was an issue to explain and welcome us. The property is exactly as described and located close to Bordeaux city, but also the wider area from which to explore.
The property also had excellent features and some classy touches such as a remote canopy, use of the pool and a real feel of privacy. Thanks Jean and Nathalie for all your help
We had a wonderful stay in Baron. The house itself was lovely – clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. After a long drive, we were warmly welcomed by Jean, who lives on site. He was friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and even showed us his bees, which was a real highlight. The house has three spacious double bedrooms upstairs, one of which includes an extra single bed, making it perfect for our group of six. The bathroom is located downstairs with a separate toilet, which we found really convenient. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils and equipment we needed, and everything was spotlessly clean. The outdoor spaces were a real joy – the pool was fantastic and quickly became the centre of our stay, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the sunshine.Overall, we had a really enjoyable and comfortable stay, and would happily return
Perfect getaway. Beautiful location. Peaceful.
House had all you need.
Air Con was brilliant when weather was so hot. Plus the lovely pool to dip in and out of.
Creon was a short drive which had a Carrefour supermarket bars and cafe’s.
Local restaurant just round the corner from house was lovely.
Jean and Natalie the hosts made us very welcome and we’re on hand to help if we needed.
Would definitely recommend.

We truly enjoyed staying in Jean's lovely house in the country for 2 weeks. The house had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay from kitchen utensils and machines, to washing machine, TV, aircon, internet, garden furniture, barbecue etc. Sitting on the terrasse totally undisturbed looking out on fields, wine etc and jumping into the private pool when we felt like it was balm for the soul. The house was beautiful and well kept. We stayed 6 six grown ups and even with just one bath and one toilet it worked just fine. Jean was a great and helpfull host. Always available, never intruding.
What a wonderful stay in a lovely property surrounded by a beautiful rural location. The outside area, pristine pool and gorgeous view totally made this property and Jean the owner was the perfect mix of welcoming and unintrusive. Plus he left us a little gift of his own honey which was delicious.
Living next door meant that he was always on hand to say hello and help with any niggles (which there were none) but we were left alone to enjoy our holiday and the peace and quiet of the surrounding countryside and vineyards. We were thrilled to see lots of hares, birds and lots of deer running through the vines, which was magical.
St Emilion is a must visit as is the Sunday market of Libourne. We were honestly so happy to find this gem and we had a lovely, relaxing stay.
If you are looking for a place in the countryside but conveniently located within driving distance into the city of Bordeaux and several smaller towns north and south of Baron, this VRBO is for you. It had everything we had hoped for and more.
One of our favorite places to visit was St Emilion only a 20 minute drive. Just a short drive further down the road was St La Foy Grande which has a huge Saturday market.
The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed as we ate several of our meals here. In Baron is a local well stocked grocery store and a bakery just up the street with delicious breads and pastries. The bedrooms are a good size with wardrobes and comfortable beds.
Lastly Jean and his girlfriend were very pleasant and helpful. They were always available to answer any questions we had.

Came for a wedding in Bordeaux and this place was absolutely stunning and well worth the 10 rating - I would have given more than 10!!Jean was a friendly and attentive host but never bothered us in any way - he was the perfect host and we were so grateful to him. He even got up very early on our departure day to ensure we got off smoothly. Such a kind man. He even welcomed us with a bottle of local wine and some of his own (from the bees of course!) honey - and without exaggeration was the best honey I have ever tasted in my 74 years. I so wished they sold it in Wales. The house and pool were outstanding and we enjoyed every single minute of our stay. Sadly, a week was not long enough. Car parking was safe and very close to the house. The area around the house was stunning and a Carrefour Express was a couple of minutes away and bigger ones were in Creon 10 minutes away.We took away so many happy memories.Jean thank you so much!!!
Merci,Jean!
Heel rustige omgeving. Huis zoals op de foto. Bovenste verdiep hele ruime nette kamers. Vriendelijke gastheer . Alles watcje nodig hebt was aanwezig. Verwarmd zwembad.
Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour dans ce magnifique gîte.Cadre idyllique, avec vue sur les vignes.Bien au calme car le gîte est très en retrait de la route où il y a très peu de circulation.Je recommande sans hésitation.
