This two bedroom, two bath direct oceanfront condo at the Paki Maui has an amazing view of the gorgeous Maui Sunsets and the neighboring islands of Molokai and Lanai. This great West Maui location is within walking distance of beaches, restaurants and shopping!. Perfect for a romantic couple getaway or for a fun filled family vacation!

ABOUT THE CONDO..
Paki Maui 221 is a corner unit located in the center of the building and provides direct oceanfront views from both the master bedroom and family room. This 2nd floor, single-level floor plan offers 1,082 square feet of living space. From your two PRIVATE lanai's, you can see the neighboring island of Molokai and if you come during the winter months (mid-December-April) you can view the whales right from your lanai! Turtles, spinning dolphins, rainbows and unforgettable Maui sunsets can be seen year-round.

This condo can accommodate up to six (6) guests' comfortably. Sleeping arrangements include a KING size bed in the master bedroom, private lanai and bathroom; the guestroom provides a queen and if additional sleeping arrangements are needed the. sofa in the living area provides a full/queen size sleeper.
The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare meals at home with stainless steel appliances including a stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. The cabinets are stocked with dishes, utensils, cookware and basic small appliances such as a coffee maker, blender and a toaster. The living area furnishings include a dining table for six (6); sofa with 2 chairs, flat screen TV and it's own private lanai. Paki Maui Resort doesn't allow air conditioners to be installed. However, ceiling fans have been placed throughout the condo to help provide air flow. The unit provides FREE PARKING, WIFI, basic cable, and a basic "starter" set of kitchen and bath supplies to help get you started for your stay.

Come see the magnificent ocean views from this SPACIOUS DIRECT OCEANFRONT condo! From your two PRIVATE lanai's, you can see the neighboring island of Molokai and if you come during the winter months (mid-December-April) you can have a front row seat for whale watching right from your lanai! Turtles, spinning dolphins, rainbows and unforgettable Maui sunsets can be seen year-round.

ABOUT THE PROPERTY..
The tropical grounds of Paki Maui includes an ocean front grassy lawn area between the building and the ocean. It's just perfect for sunbathing with lounge chairs and tables to help you relax. From the lawn area there are 5 or 6 steps that lead you to protected waters - ideal for snorkeling, and swimming. During your snorkeling experience, you may see the magnificent Giant Sea Turtles, and many tropical fish and colorful coral. There is a gated heated pool and Jacuzzi area; and a sundeck with lounge chairs. You may choose to barbecue your meals on one of the two gas BBQ grills in the pool/cabana area or you can use the charcoal grills located in the lawn area, oceanside (you will need to pick up your own charcoal). Many of our guests consider the BBQ's on the lawn area to be the "Gathering Place" where you can meet and enjoy chatting some of the other guests and residents. The beach area out front comes and goes based on the tides. Many guests' swim and snorkel right here, but if you are looking for a walkable beach, you have several to choose from, all just a few minutes away! North Ka'anapali beach is the closest about a 1/2 of a mile away.

ABOUT THE LOCATION..
Paki Maui is centrally located in West Maui between Kaanapali and Kapalua, where you can experience the world-class beaches and golf courses. We are also within minutes of a variety of restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, fish market and the farmers market. The farmer's market is a great place that provides local fruit and vegetables, as well as organic foods and the fish market has great food!

This condo has an incredible view, is very nicely appointed, and is in a fabulous location. We saw sea turtles multiple times day and lost count of the number of rainbows we saw each day. We loved our stay!

The view is phenomenal! We watched whales for hours from the lanai, it was great! The layout for 2 couples was excellent. All furniture was comfortable and abundant. The condo was well stocked with towels, basic cooking items, beach chairs. Groceries and restaurants within easy walking distance. Check in was smooth. Parking was plentiful. Pool and hot tub were nice and accessible. There is a park perfect for families right next door with playground and gentle beach for kids. The carpet and drapes in the bedrooms were dirty and worn. Pillows need replacing. More silverware is needed. Various deferred maintenance throughout, this bothers some people more than others. If you can overlook this then this place is for you! If you want supremely clean and meticulously maintained maybe keep looking.

Overall was a great stay. Property does need some upgrading as linnen and carpets were showing their age. Location is great close to grocery stores, coffee shop and most beaches. Unit has most things that you require for the beach including umbrelas, towels, boogie boards and chairs

We came to Maui to attend a wedding and while the rest of our crew stayed at a resort just down the street, we definitely won the stay game. Our host, Bree, was communicative and very kind. She was able to let us check in 4 hours early, which was incredible! You can’t beat the views of the balcony. We fell asleep to the sound of the waves every night. The location was incredible, plenty of walkable restaurants/food trucks/grocery stores. Only a 15 minute drive from downtown Lahaina. If we are fortunate to return to the island, we will definitely keep this property in mind!

My husband and our two teenagers absolutely loved our stay! It had everything we needed to feel right at home, including beach chairs and towels. Having the washer and dryer in the unit made it easy to keep things clean. This was our first time in this unit, second time at this complex and we would definitely come back again! Thank you!

Amazing Views from Living room and Master Bedroom

This condo is fully equipped and has lots of space. The view is amazing. Very comfortable, plenty of sitting area and lot’s of parking. This is a quiet area which I prefer over the busy Kaanapali area which is about 1 mile south. Beach access is difficult and under construction. It is not a sandy beach but there is one next door just hard to get to right now. Wouldn’t recommend if you are disabled. BBQ area is nice but BBQ’s need upgrading, they are hard to light.

Great view!

Been staying at Paki Maui for going on 28 years now and would not go anywhere else! Had a perfect view of the ocean. Bree was super easy to work with and get ahold of. There was a bit of an issue with plumbing but was handled very well and quickly. The only issue was the master bed… the mattress really needs to be replaced. Didn’t really get the best sleep the whole time of our stay. Other than that we had the best time!

Our Stay at Paki Maui

We were very happy with the property! The pictures advertising the unit were spot on and we loved having such great views of the ocean and the whales. The only problem we had was with the sliding doors off the living room. The screen doors liked to get stuck and be stubborn. Working with Bree was very easy, as well. We would definitely recommend the Paki Maui to others!

Spring break getaway

Brought our college age granddaughter here during her spring break. The property is a bit dated but very live-able. The furnishings are reminiscent of what you might image Hawaii 2.0-30 years ago -good quality and sturdy. This is a second floor condo with good ocean views-we saw whales every day! Love that the master Bedroom opens to a private lanai! We fell asleep to the soothing sounds of the ocean at night. The kitchen could use a few more coffee cups but was more than adequate for our needs. This was our 10th trip to Hawaii and we would stay here again. We had a little trouble with the lock but Bree was very responsive and we were back in business before long. Actually I think my husband is talking to Bree right now about our next visit 😄

This was an amazing unit. Bree was great to work with. The unit far exceeded our expectations and the pictures didn’t do the unit justice. It was spacious and had everything we could have wanted or needed. The views were spectacular and the whales were visible every day. The sea turtles where right out in front. Bring some binoculars and you will be absolutely amazed. We will definitely be back to this unit again.

Paki Maui Unit 221

My wife and I had a great experience here. I loved waking up each morning and being able to see whales straight from our balcony while I ate breakfast. Our condo was just ask pictured on Vrbo. We had 1 hiccup with ants in the kitchen but the owner Bree was tremendous to work with. We let her know and she had someone out right away to spray and get rid of them and also had some traps dropped off while we waited for the exterminator. I would definitely rent this condo again!

Oceanfront in Honokwai

Our unit was oceanfront so you need to get used to the sound of the loud waves. The property has limited grounds and a small swimming pool. The property manager on site and available by email was very good.

Great location and beautiful views!

Spacious unit with two patios overlooking the ocean! Coming home and waking up to the views and sounds of the ocean made for an amazing vacation. The grounds and pool are well maintained, but honestly we went to the pool once since there are many great swimming beaches near by. Fantastic eating and shopping within walking distance. The only negatives is the carpet is a bit old and it’s probably time for the mattresses to be changed out, but we really didn’t spend much time in our room since we wanted to experience and explore the island. Sleeping to the sounds of the ocean rolling in with the perfect cool breeze is as peaceful as it sounds. Also the convenience of having a washer and dryer for an extended stay is a big plus.

A living nightmare

I was very hesitant to write this review, but we had an extremely frightening experience that we wouldn’t wish on anyone. At a glance, the unit appeared clean and organized, but due to Covid-19 we decided to rewash all linens in both bedrooms as an extra precaution. Upon removing the pillow cases we noticed black mold on each pillow and the bed sheets were dirty and stained. The bathroom in the master bedroom needs MAJOR work. The door frame molding is literally deteriorating and some type of residue is sweating down the door and the lighting was incredibly dark and creepy. The second bedroom is incredibly dark and outdated and the bathrooms are small. Overall this unit needs some renovating, a good deep cleaning and some things need replacing. If these would have been our only complaints, my family and I would have considered staying for the entirety of our vacation which was well over a week, but sadly we had to exit the unit 3 days into our stay due to terrifying and unexplainable events. On day one weird things began to happen. The first incident was when the door to the second bedroom slammed shut with full force on its own. That same night in the same room, the light turned on by itself. The next incident was when the volume to our music suddenly turned all the way up on its own. Several incidents continued to happen and we’d just brush them off. However, on the second night at around 2AM we were shocked and terrified when we discovered that there were fresh drops of blood in the master bedroom bathroom floor. My husband had woken up to use the restroom and saw the drops of blood on the floor and quickly woke me up to ask if I had had an incident. At first we inspected ourselves and made sure that none of us had any cuts, nosebleeds or anything, but none of us had anything. I immediately got a hold of Bree and she advised us to call the police. Three police officers arrived and they too could not give us any answers - they were just as confused as we were and stated that they had never seen anything like this before. Needless to say, we all agreed that we didn’t feel safe and needed to get out of there ASAP. I will say, Bree was understanding of our concerns and was able to work with us and refund us the remainder of our stay which I found to be fair. It was a complete inconvenience to have to look for a new resort super last minute, but by the grace of God we were able to find a stunning oceanfront unit over at Papakea.

The property was just as advertised. Right on the ocean with a small beach. Staff was very attentive to needs of my family. Pool and spa were excellent and cleaned daily. Close to many activities. The room was larger than we thought and had plenty of linens and kitchen utensils. Would stay in this unit again and again. Excellent.

Beautiful grounds in great location. Unit 221 needs some minor renovations (broken drawers, shower doors that don't close and saturate the bathroom floors, poor water pressure), is poorly stocked for visitors, and has many bugs and termite infestation. The balconies overlooking the ocean were perfect.
