The cabin was perfect for two with wonderful views to the Strait and Olympic Mountains. We spend days just enjoying the show of everchanging light and life. The landscaping on the property is added feature. We did not use the hot tub, but was clean and on a lower level with full view of the water. Though located on a busy road, the main house and cabin is lower than the road protected from noise and lights. Conveniently close to Sooke All the accommodations were in good condition. A few minor items with the usually assortment of mismatched flatware and cups. The washer/dryer dries poorly. The non-stick pan was badly scratched, but promptly replaced by the host.Will definitely return when we are in the area.

We had such a beautiful and peaceful stay at this seaside cottage. The views do not disappoint, and it was perfect for a week away. The wifi was really good, I was able to work remotely no problem. Sooke township is only about 5 minutes down the road, which was really convenient! We loved our stay and will hopefully be back soon

Amazing views of the bay and we had seals swim by regularly. Place was cute and clean, close to everything in Sooke and easy driving distance to northern beach hikes. The landscaping couple came by and were so nice and informative, gave us great suggestions. The only drawback was the very steep walk from guest parking.

It’s a lot off climbing to get to the cabin and down to hot tub and ocean front. Not great place to stay if you have trouble walking. Besides that it’s a beautiful place to stay.

Such a beautiful and peaceful little place for a getaway! My husband and I stayed 5 days while exploring the area. We really enjoyed gazing at the water from the hottub and deck. Paddle boarding from the beach was delightful on a calm sunny day (we brought our own boards). We would love to return someday!

This was a beautiful place. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the balcony and soaking in the beautiful views. Our only complaint was the steep gravel driveway to get to the place. It was a little tricky getting our luggage and groceries down the hill to the house. Might be nice to mention that in the description.

Salish Sunrise is a great place with an amazing view. One thing to be aware of is the lack of accessibility to the house. It is not ADA accessible as noted but it tricky for able body people as well. You cannot drive down to the paved driveway pictured. You have to park above the house, walk down an incredibly steep gravel driveway that connects to a path to the house. Dragging luggage and a full cooler up and down the steep hill is very difficult. We were also not allowed to use the fire pit as well. Just want visitors to be aware. The rest of our stay was amazing.

Thank you for your comments as they provide a chance to clarify some things. In the Sooke area, most properties have a challenging walk to the beach from the dwelling. In this case, the beach is easily accessed from the cottage, but you walk a little further to get to the cottage. There are plenty of reviews describing the path to the cottage and the majority of people are able to do it without any problem. Beach fires are not allowed in Sooke. However, the propane fire pit is there for guests to use. A phone call would have cleared that up.

We enjoyed our stay at the Salish Sunrise Cottage. The property is beautifully landscaped, with access to a rocky beach and the ocean. We loved the views from the balcony. We even had 3 deer come visit one morning. The hot tub was a nice feature after a long day of hiking. The cabin is well stocked with everything you need to have a nice stay. The only things I would recommend would be some sort of air movement as there seems to be no AC or fans available but I might have missed that. And we also noticed a few places in the home were a little dusty so a good deep clean or vacuum is most likely needed. Overall, a great stay at a great location, nice and peaceful!

Beautiful views from the hot tub, balcony, and patios. The grounds are stunning, with lush manicured gardens and views. We stayed for a week, making 2-3 meals a day in the kitchen (it has all the basic pots/pans/dishes). We picked up groceries on the outskirts of Victoria before driving out, and visited the Saturday Farmers Market in Sooke to get local bread, mushrooms, greens, and eggs. The bed is comfy and the overall cottage space is perfect for 2. We spent more time in the outside spaces, so we didn’t feel too closed in. Definitely enjoyed the local parks, trails, and scenic drives. There are 3 outstanding breweries within 5-10 minutes from the cottage.
