Pictures don't do this place justice. Such a beautiful setting, very relaxing, and comfortable. Close to town in case you need to grab groceries and close to hiking and beaches. Thank you for sharing with us.
Amazing stay! Property is one in a thousand! We are seasoned travellers and have seen many places. If I could give score above 10 I would gladly do it! Clean, equipped and peaceful. Landscape amazing. Spent last two days at the patios next to the ocean. Such a jewel! Thank you guys for everything! Will definitely return.
The views from the unit are stunning. It was a joy to wake up every morning and open the sliding doors to hear the ocean. Couldn’t have asked from a better stay!
Beautifully appointed cottage. Fully equipped kitchen & laundry. Amazing views of the Juan de Fuca/Salish Sea! Very peaceful and not too far from downtown Victoria. Only complaints: walking down the gravel driveway/stone steps which was steep and a little unstable to carry our luggage. And the bed seemed small for two but it was cozy.
Such a beautiful modern cottage with all the amenities and comfort you could ask for. Being right on the water provides a spectacular view for sunrises and wildlife spotting. Would love to have been able to stay for longer.
My wife and I had a great getaway weekend at the cottage. It’s in a great location, has an amazing view, and great amenities! We would come back again for sure!
Salish Sunrise Cottage was an amazing rental. Clean, private, the grounds/landscaping was beautiful! We especially loved sitting in the hot tub in the evenings looking out towards the strait and sitting in the patio chairs looking for wildlife in the mornings. We saw sea lions, bald eagles, and an otter while sitting on those chairs. Absolutely beautiful views! Close to town but far enough that you felt like you were in the in your own private space. Highly recommend this place.
We had an amazing stay. The property is in a great location, very clean, and had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. I highly recommend staying here!
Beautiful property. Everything was great. Saw otters on the beach. The sounds and smells of the ocean with the patio door open is a special experience in itself.
The property was exactly as advertised, owners delivered clear and useful instructions in a timely manner. Wonderful atmosphere and location, very close to everything essential and a short drive to everything else. We had a wonderful time and will definitely consider returning.
The view is excellent, but it's not as private as the pictures lead you to believe as the main house is quite close to the cottage. As other reviews have mentioned, the driveway is a real problem. Guests park at the top, walk down 3 stone steps to get to the steep gravel driveway. If you have any mobility issues at all, this is not the place for you. That said, we really enjoyed Sooke. All the locals were very nice. Since there isn't a binder or guide book in the cabin with local recommendations, here are some of the things we enjoyed doing while in Sooke:1) We rented peddle kayaks and saw a pod of orcas go through Sooke Harbor.2) We rented e-bikes and rode on the Galloping Goose trail. 3) We went for a hike in Sooke Potholes park.4) Our favorite restaurants were Route 14 and Stickleback Oceanfront Cider & Taphouse.5) We shopped for groceries at Village Food Market and bought beer, ciders, and wine at Castle Beer & Wine Store.
