Seashell Cottages/JK Rentals - The Daniel Unit

This property is known as JK Rentals. It has 3 units that are attached to one another consisting of 3 two bedroom /1 bath units each sleeping 6 people. We are located less than a 5 minute walk to the beach, Pier, Amusement Park, shops and restaurants. You can literally park your car and walk to everything! The property has a shared green space in the back with a share gas grill as well as covered sitting areas along 2 of the 3 units as well as a front-street facing patio with table and chairs perfect for people watching! Each unit has 1 parking spot included in your reservation. If you are in need of additional parking spots, we can accommodate you for a nominal fee at our Seashell Cottages property if we have the space. Please ask! We have a beautiful opportunity for multiple friend and family groups to come vacation together yet have your own separate space for relaxation.
This unit, known as The Daniel, it's named after our oldest son. This is a 3 unit building.  Make sure you look at all 3 to pick your favorite one, or book more than one to accommodate large families or groups.
The Daniel is an immaculate 2 bed, 1 bath unit with cathedral ceiling, ceiling fans and TVs in each room, seconds to everything Old Orchard Beach has to offer. The amusement park and beach are only a 3-5 minute walk. We are excited to share this wonderful property. This unit has 1 parking spot included, a gas grill that is shared with 2 other units, and picnic tables. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need to cook and stay comfortably. Linens will be provided for all beds. Bath towels are also provided. Please bring beach towels, as these are not included.. The bathroom is beautifully done in all tile, and a convenient walk in shower. We will also be including a beach caddy on wheels for easy carrying of your beach items to take to the beach with you. 
The futon in this unit is great for extra sleeping space.  Linens will also be provided for the full size futon. 
This unit is so close to the center you can see Lisa's Pizza from the front steps!!! 
You will find the unit spotless, as we always check every unit before checking anyone in. We are very hands on and easy to contact. 
Amazing location! The only thing to do is have fun!

The location and the place itself were perfect for a beach vacation for our family. Everything was clean, great space, and exactly as pictured. A short and easy walk to the beach and all attractions.

The place to stay!

The is property was in a central location—close the beach and shopping—and it was incredibly clean. Karen was very attentive and was quick to communicate with us upon arrival. I would absolutely stay here again!

Great location and large apartment

Went during July 4th. The town is crowded and busy but it was nice to have parking and get to walk everywhere.

Spectacular place to stay!!

This property was spotless and in a wonderful location. About a block to the center of OOB and a short walk from there to the beach. The owners are attentive and respond quickly to messages. I would highly recommend staying here if you have the opportunity. Enjoyed our stay!!!

Weekend away

We had a blast, the unit was located close to everything you needed. If you wanted to stay parked you could have, amusements, entertainment, restaurants even a brewery are a stones throw away. I can’t wait to go back.

This place was perfect for our beach getaway weekend! The Daniel unit was beautiful, clean and updated and was within walking distance of the shops, pier and the beach! Wonderful stay!

This unit was perfect for our family. It was beautifully decorated, spacious, and clean. I messaged Karen with a few questions and she immediately got back to us. The location is great. Not right on the beach, but close enough to walk (or super short drive) to everything. We would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic stay! Beds are comfortable and lots of space for my family of 5. Full kitchen and refrigerator made the stay so much easier. Walked to beach and into town everyday. So close to everything! Perfect place to stay in Old Orchard Beach, ME

I recently stayed at this property with 3 other adults and I only have positive things to say! The house is very clean, orderly and in brand new condition. It's located about 3 blocks away from the Pier, the beach and the main street in Old Orchard Beach where you will find many places to shop, eat and go out. The house has a BBQ grill that guests can use and has a fully functioning kitchen. Janet and Karen (the owners) were very easy to contact and were quick to respond every time I contacted them leading up to the trip or during with questions.

Sisters weekend

We’re 7 sisters getting together for 3 full days on the same weekend every year. This property was perfect for us. We rented all 3 units which worked out perfectly!! Very clean, we always had hot showers and plenty of dishes and pots and pans for cooking on site. Property was very close to the ocean, entertainment and food!! Each room had a wagon to use to transport our chairs and beach stuff which was awesome. Perfect Sistah’s weekend!!!

What a great way to commemorate our annual fishing trip. The property was located right in the thick of things, walking distance from the best that OOB had to offer. We lighter. There was a folder with maps and menus to point us in the right direction. The pictures of the unit don’t do it justice on how well lit and pleasant it is. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything you need; each bedroom had Roku TV. I would totally stay there again.

This is the second year we have stayed at the Daniel unit at JK rentals. Our daughter and her family stay in the adjacent unit. Unfortunately, they are outgrowing their unit so we'll be looking for something similar but bigger. We love the proximity to the beach and playland that these units offer. For the most part, we can park our car and not use it again until we leave thanks to the trolley system.

OOB memories

my husband and I had one unit and our daughter, her husband and 3 sons (7,4,2) had an adjacent unit. We were within walking distance to the pier and beach. Although the units were on the small side, they were clean and well appointed. The hosts were very accommodating, responding quickly to any questions we had. Our major concern/complaint were the mattresses but we've had bad mattresses in other settings too. Our grandchildren really liked the option of just dropping into our unit.

I stayed for a weekend here. The location can't be beat- it's within walking distance of everything you'd want to see and do in OOB. The place is modern and has all the kitchen amenities you'd need. Definitely minimal parking on the property so be aware if you're bringing multiple cars. My only complaint was that the tile flooring throughout the place definitely needed to be cleaned because my guests and I walked around barefoot for 10 mins and the bottom of our feet were black. Also, there were some stains on the comforters. Not sure if they were permanent but either way it creeped us out. The hosts were kind and responsive to my questions before we got there. I'd go back but it needs a good cleaning.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We take great pride in our property and clean it ourselves. We are surprised to hear of these issues as we are meticulous. Had we known you felt this way during your stay we would have rectified it with another comforter and floor washing, We will certainly look into it. It is true that we have parking for 1 car. This is clear in our description. Many properties this close to the beach will have limited parking unfortunately. There is an overnight parking area across the street at our neighbors house. We absolutely love this property with its proximity and are very happy to share it with families who are vacationing. We will continue to do our very best to provide the best experience for everyone. Aucune surprise. Nous avons communiqué avec les propriétaires par textos et ils répondent rapidement (manque de papier hygiénique après deux jours et nous avons demandé de changer les serviettes). Great weekend stay

My husband, myself, and our 4 kids had a great long weekend stay. The condo is small and basic but has pretty much anything you’d need, the location was good for going to the arcade and rides, and it was a reasonable walk to the beach (the provided beach wagon was much appreciated). And having TVs with Rokus was another plus for us.

We are super close to the fun and excitement that Old Orchard Beach has to offer, you can walk to the Pier, the beach, restaurants, shops, bars, the park with basketball courts, and CANDY stores!!!

What makes this property unique

What we love about JK Rentals is the location and the size of the units. They are comfortable and have enough space to spread out. We have a front patio where you can use the hose to rinse off from the beach, and sit and people watch! Come home from the beach to comfortable beds, clean towels and sheets, and nice cools unit with the air conditioning!
