Breathtaking features near the heart of downtown Eagle Idaho!

4 bedroom, 2.5 bath with Game Room, Secret Door, Gourmet Kitchen, and Hot Tub (Seasonal October - April)

This beautiful two-story family home in Eagle Idaho was remodeled in 2019 and designed specifically to be a home perfect for a getaway or vacation!

This home will accommodate up to 12 guests (8 adults and 4 children) with rare and amazing features for a vacation rental! This home is less than 1 mile from downtown Eagle and is less than 20 minutes from Boise City Center. This vacation home has a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with quartz counter tops and a commercial Thor gas range with dual ovens. Food prep is a breeze on the John Boos butcher block island table with wrap around bar. The island bar and lunch bar will comfortably seat up to 8 people and it’s a great place to enjoy the 70 inch smart TV in the living room and still be in the kitchen!

The master suite has a very comfortable king bed with a 50” flat screen TV with Apple TV and the master bath has an extra long soaker tub, walk-in shower, dual vanities and a walk-in closet. Upstairs we have two more bedrooms with queen beds in each room and another full bathroom with dual sinks and a shower-tub combo. The bunk room can sleep up to four children on two bunkbeds! The sectional couch in the Family room has a pull out queen bed that will comfortably sleep 2. One of the most unique and really cool features of our home is the hidden gaming room on the second floor. Why not surprise your kids and keep the hidden room a secret until you arrive? This "secret room" is accessed through a bookcase door which thrills kids and adults alike! The gaming room is set up with three 40 inch Flat Screen TV monitors and and we have Playstation and Xbox systems available for your use. Recline back in the gaming room and play any game you want to bring along! Sparklight Cable is available on all of our TV's as well as a TV in the Gaming room! Lots of board games and a game table in the living room. The family room has a large sectional with plenty of seating to watch your favorite sports or movies!

Outside we have a hot tub that can seat up to 5 people. Please note the hot tub only in operation during the cooler months from October - April and is drained From May - September. If you are visiting during those months and would like hot tub use, we would be happy to fill it for a $250 fee. The back yard also has a dining table with an umbrella and will seat 6 and there is another seating area under the gazebo in the center of the stone path custom garden. Enjoy the use of the gas grill barbecue, play darts, or toss a ball around in the grass area of the backyard. The gazebo also has a gas fire pit and a light. The location can't be beat with many attractions very close in proximity including the Eagle Hills Golf course, Bogus Basin Ski resort and Eagle Island State park. Walking paths, hiking trails, bike paths are all around the property and many of our guests comment on how beautiful the Eagle area is. Ask about our special rental program for those looking to move to the area and are looking to buy or build a home!

This was the best property we stayed in out of many VRBO vacations. It has everything you could want and everything works. Our grandkids visited and loved the game room. The are more entertainment options than we could use. Nice, comfortable furnishings.

Fun family trip

Our two families, with 3 sons under the age of ten, really enjoyed the spacious house. The video game room was an awesome surprise for the kids. The kitchen is gorgeous and well equipped. We enjoyed the water park nearby and a day trip to Kirkham hot springs. The house and its neighborhood was an excellent home base for all of our adventures. .

A slice of paradise.

This property was better than what we expected. All the thoughtful touches were amazing. Our grandchildren enjoyed the 3D movies, darts, numerous games, jacuzzi, roasting marshmallows, bikes and ping pong. I loved cooking in the kitchen, and sitting in the back gazebo with the fire table and a drink. Thank you for taking such good care of your guests!

Outstanding from start to finish, booking process, promptness of communication, ease of checkin, and what a beautiful home. Kitchen had everything x a factor of 10. TV’s were awesome, bedding Super comfortable, huge clean hot tub, big garage, and although. We didn’t use it, a ‘hidden’ kids game room. Don’t miss the Bodacious Pig restaurant in Eagle for what I found to be the best ribs I have ever tasted.

Simply Fantastic!

Everything about this property was top notch. From the welcome basket and food/drinks in the fridge, to the hot tub and game room. Our group could not have asked for more. We were there for a baseball tournament so the convenient washer and dryer made for clean uniforms while the hot tub and game room were perfect for worn out high school baseball players. The home's proximity to great restaurants and shopping were and added and unexpected bonus.

Beautiful home

This house has everything you need to have an enjoyable stay. The owners have provided all the little touches that make it a home away from home I was able to come in from out of town for a memorial and entertain all my family living there who were in mourning. It took a lot of the burden off my sister. I really appreciated how this house offered all that and a game room for my grandson’s. Thank you Kevon and Susan.

Stunning property

Sometimes I can be a little skeptical looking at pictures of properties, expecting one thing, then showing up and it's not what we expected. That is not the case with this property. Absolutely beautiful, lots of little fun hidden things to discover. 3D TV, hidden game room, lots of board games, hot tub, a lot of special details to welcome guests.

Great Home Away From Home

We reside locally, but found ourselves displaced for a few days due to our own home repair. The Nest at Eagle Knoll was a perfect place for our family to stay during those days! It was work and school, as usual, during the day, but the Nest gave us a homey place to gather in the evening. Our littlest ones loved the bunkbeds in the secret room, the rock garden in the backyard, the stash of games, AND the cuckoo clock! Most importantly, the home was clean, and many thoughtful touches and conveniences had been provided around the house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend it to anyone! Thank you.

Wonderful Place to Stay!

My family and I were very impressed by the Sackett's house. It was very comfortable and clean. There were so many nice little touches that made us feel welcome, from the coffee basket on the counter, the sparkling water in the fridge, to the little chocolates left in jars and an abundance of towels and bedding and blankets. Everything was accurately described and in good working condition. Kevin and Susan were extremely easy to work with and very quick to respond to any messages. Our boys LOVED the game room and the ping pong table. The house is easy to find and located in a very convenient and beautiful neighborhood. We will definitely be booking this house again whenever we find ourselves in the area!

Great family winter getaway!

Our family loved this property! The secret game room was a big hit with both our 7 year old and 13 year old boys - they absolutely loved it! The layout of the house is very warm and cozy, beds are comfortable and the neighborhood is great. We were close to a grocery store, gas station and places to eat. We only wish there could have been sleds for use as it is apparently hard to find these in Idaho during winter. However, we were able to go tubing at Gateway Island Park which was only 15 minutes away. Monica is super responsive and the property looks just like described. I would highly recommend this place for any Idaho trip you may have planned, especially with kids who like video games to play during your down time.

We visited the Boise area for a family reunion. The Nest property was outstanding and exceeded our expectations for comfort and quality. Beyond the physical attributes of the property, Kevin & Susan set the bar for excellence in managing our visit. First, we had a multi-generational group ranging from seniors to infants. Kevin & Susan were so helpful to ensure we had multiple pack-n-plays and a high chair. The backyard was one of our favorite locations as it has a big fence in yard, beautiful trees for shade, a gazebo for relaxing, darts, and outdoor grill for the perfect dinner. We especially enjoyed having morning coffee outside. The property has much much more, but the greatest attribute are the hosts. Thanks to Kevin & Susan. We hope to return again and have the opportunity to stay at the Nest.

Much needed break from 2020!

After months of being stuck at home due to Covid-19 restrictions, we really needed a family vacation. The Nest in Eagle was the perfect get away! It had everything we could have needed and more. I had our days pretty packed, but relaxing at night in the comfy recliners or out in the back yard was wonderful. I also enjoyed my drinking my coffee outside in the morning in the peaceful backyard. The secret game room and bedroom was amazing for our kids. They had so much fun in the secret hideout! This is a great house for kids, so much to keep them entertained and busy. The location was great, we loved Eagle and all the wonderful restaurants. It was close enough to everything we wanted to do. The homeowners were very responsive to any questions we had. We have rented many properties through VRBO and this was by far the best. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

This was our second stay at this absolutely wonderful home in Eagle. The property has everything you may need for a great family stay for several days. The kitchen is very well outfitted, the rooms are very comfortable, the beds are great, and the kids game room is awesome! Great location close to shopping and excursions! We give the home and the owners 5 stars!

Needs another bathroom and a dining room table

Overall good trip. But could use an actual full bath or 3/4 bath. The listing states it has 3 baths, but it’s really just 2.5. When we are all getting ready at the same time, a third bathroom is needed. We would not have chosen this property if that was made clear. Also, who has a house for 12 people but no dining room table? We didn’t have enough seats to eat at the same time nor did we have a good place to play card games at night (the living room table is fine for kids, just not adults). And the separate air conditioners in the 3 upstairs bedrooms - just weird. Couldn’t close the blinds all the way. And it was still hot upstairs. Last - the pull-out sofa had popcorn in it and what looked like mouse poop - but we *think* it was brownies🤦‍♀️ Otherwise it was fine. Lots of great kitchen stuff, laundry supplies, towels, etc. Oh, but the antique beds upstairs are squeaky- very hard to sleep with more than one person in them.

Why they chose this property

We love Eagle Idaho because of its small town feel and beauty! Eagle is located in the northwestern portion of Ada county and is nestled up against the Boise foothills. The Boise River runs east to west just south of the center of downtown Eagle. From our house the River is approximately 1.2 miles away with access to the green belt. Once on the green belt you can ride bikes or walk in either direction. You can see bald eagles, heron, geese, ducks, beaver, and deer on a morning walk along the green belt. We have also seen deer as we walk along Floating Feather road on the sidewalks that meander beside small ponds. Eagle has lots of trees and these change color with the seasons. Fall is one of our favorite seasons as the trees with so many colors are truly breathtaking. Another great thing about Eagle is the proximity to everything fun in the valley! We are literally less than 20 minutes from Downtown Boise if you go east and less than 20 minutes from Nampa if you go west! The trailhead to the Boise foothills is less than 1.5 miles from our door. During the summer months it’s great to cool off in the Boise River or at Eagle Island State Park (3.5 miles) which has a giant water slide and beach. There are several water parks near our home as well which are great fun for the younger children. During the winter you can be at Eagle Island State Park which is about 10 minutes from our house for some tubing or Bogus Basin ski resort in less than 30 minutes as it is less than 10 miles from our door. Hiking, fishing, skiing, biking, dining, or just kicking back and resting. We love to also just chill out in our backyard under the gazebo or in the hot tub. We love our home in Eagle Idaho and you will too!
