For anyone looking for a "budget-conscious" Beach-Side Studio, this is for you! This 1950's apartment building is located steps away from the beach access with a home located in between the apartment building and beach.

If you are traveling light (with no need for an over- abundance of space) this Beach Side Studio is just perfect. We are located just steps away from the beach, with no streets to cross.

The Studio has a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a small eat-in kitchen and a full bathroom.

The bathroom has a combined bathtub and shower with a hand held shower head. The kitchen is stocked with everything needed to cook a meal. We have a full size refrigerator and a gas stove.

Off street parking is just outside your front door.

We also welcome longer term stays in this efficiency apartment.

I've allowed for 3 guests just in case a couple may have an infant or baby. But there is only one Queen Size Bed for sleeping, no other bedding arrangements would work in this studio; it is ideal for a maximum of 2 adults.
Again, the beach is a short one minute walk with no streets to cross!

We are also pet friendly (with a $49 fee)

This Studio Apartment is one of 6 units in this building. The building was built in the 1950's, and as such, many of the the windows, systems and appliances are dated.

We are proud to offer a beach side apartment that is clean, comfortable and provides all the necessities - Smart TV, WiFi, Full Kitchen, Bathroom and best of all - the beaches of the Chesapeake Bay!

We have off-street parking and are close to a brewery/BBQ restaurant that is walking distance. Fishing from the surf is excellent, and the beach is also pet-friendly.

These are older units and do show some of their age as many of the vintage gas stoves remain, as well as the cast iron tubs and sinks. Some of these tubs and sinks may have a bit of rust, but all has been fastidiously cleaned for your use! We are proud to be able to offer such low-priced beach side studios, but we also want our guests to have the proper expectations. These units are clean, but will show "age" with some rust stains on the bathroom appliances, windows that may not open and close properly, flooring that is a bit worn, cracks in the plaster on the walls and/or ceilings, and appliances that show their age; if you will find these issues bothersome, please look for a more contemporary place for your vacation.

If, however, you prioritize being conveniently located to the beach where you plan on enjoying the majority of your vacation, we believe you will be happy here. You will also enjoy a clean, comfortable bed, a large Smart TV (use your own internet streaming), cool air conditioning (window units), WiFi and the personal comfort of being able to bring your furry friend with you!

Nice location, easy beach access, overall pretty quiet. The place was clean but the carpet definitely needs replacing. It was pretty dirty which makes the entire room look bad. We would stay again if carpet was replaced. Host was available when needed.

This place was disgusting and terrible. It was advertised as being older but clean. It was older for sure, and NOT clean. The carpet was badly stained, there was dusty “fur” on the artwork due to lack of cleaning, and the mattress had very nasty stains on it. The stove has burned the fridge and the bathroom was barely passable. The towels provided looked like they were 20 years old and the furniture was falling apart. “Outdoor space” was filled with broken and mostly buried stuff. No place to put bags. Space heater for heat. The downstairs unit was playing the tv and music loud enough to hear the words and there was the distinctive smell of pot coming in. We stayed one night only because it was too late to find something else. Couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Told host we had done checkout procedures and asked for a refund. He gave us a run around and has not given us a refund.

This unit is in a quiet area, very close to beach! The unit is as described - not new or fancy. Everything was functional. No problems to note - had a few minor issues (light bulb out, etc) that I messaged the owner about after leaving.

Norfolk Beach

The biggest complaint I might have would be the air conditioner (window unit) struggled mightily to get the room cool. It was 90+ everyday and my wife and I are not accustomed to these temps. That would be my only let down for the price and location. Other than that the rental was as described and George sounded like a heck of a good guy.

Good location.We enjoyed having a private beach.The property inside wasn't what we expected as far as cleanliness & safety.We understand pets are allowed & not every renter is meticulous as we are.The carpet is very stained & is probably full of germs & should be replaced with rubber flooring.2nd night the bathroom sink fell off the wall onto my fiance' foot & leg.Took 3 nights to get a tub stopper.We left 3 days earlier than planned.Never got a direct answer if a refund would be given to us for leaving early & none has been received at the time of this written statement.Wouldn't recommend this particular property.

Short walk to beach! Good space overall and easy access parking

This building overall could definitely use some updates especially on the exterior. But overall, a decent and clean place to stay with your animals or partner! I wouldn’t recommend this property for longer trips. The bathroom is quite small and you can only shower, the tub does nothing hold water. The shower head defiantly could be replaced but nothing too terrible! The bedroom is very cozy and there is not much sound from room-to-room. We occasionally heard cars or animals but not enough to bother our stay! The owners do a great job with responding and making sure the property stays clean. GREAT spot for an ocean-side trip with another person/ pet or just a quick-visit!

I wouldn’t recommend this location for more than two people but for me and my husband it was perfect

We were visiting Norfolk to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and the life of our dog, Petunia. She is reaching the end of her life and had never been to the beach so we wanted to remedy that. The location of this apartment was perfect. We were able to walk her right onto the beach and play with her until she was ready to rest. She loved it and we truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. Bar-q bbq is directly across the street located in Bold Mariner Brewing and it is truly excellent bbq. The beer was delicious too. There’s a 7-11 within walking distance for whatever you may need. The only issue we had was getting petunia up the steep stairs but it didn’t put a damper on our stay or her spirit. It was truly lovely to be within close proximity of such a lovely, peaceful beach. We plan to visit again next year.
