About this property

"Back Nine" is a new, yet timeless classic Nantucket beach house in the coveted Beach Plum Community. Conveniently located nearly equidistant between town and Surfside beach, this is the perfect spot for your family or grownup getaway.

The house is beautifully decorated with Serena & Lily coastal decor, complete with original art and high end finishes throughout the house. Reclaimed driftwood floors give the house the perfect coastal vibe. Relax and enjoy your morning coffee in the cozy den with gas fireplace or the open floor plan dining/living room. The house sleeps 12 (max 8 adults) and can fit one or two families comfortably.

Upon returning from one of the many nearby Southside beaches (Surfside, Nobadeer, Miacomet), enjoy a moment of peace relaxing in the private plunge pool/spa tub in the beautifully landscaped back yard while your kids play and make new Summer friends at the Beach Plum community pool, tennis and bocce courts. Wash off in the outdoor shower and enjoy a cocktail around the fire pit on the bluestone patio while listening to your favorite tunes on the Sonos surround sound system.

If the beach isn’t your thing, hop on the adjacent Surfside or Milestone bicycle paths to enjoy a scenic ride or enjoy the hiking trails in the Nantucket Forest next door. Wrap up the day by heading into town (5 minute drive) and grabbing dinner at one of the endless great restaurant options or opt for a quiet meal at home prepared in the Chef's Kitchen. Back Nine truly has it all, you won't be disappointed.

Please note: Changeover day is Sunday in peak season. House spa/hot tub will be open early June through Labor Day. Community pool/tennis courts open from mid-June through Labor Day as well. Maximum of 8 adults (two per bedroom) per rental.

First Floor Description

Open living, dining and kitchen area with glass doors opening out to the blue stone patio and pool area on one side and a fenced-in yard with blue stone patio and dining furniture out back. The first floor includes a large master bedroom (king bed) + en suite bath and a half bath/powder room.

Second Floor Description

Have your kids or guests choose from two tastefully decorated guest bedrooms each with queen beds and their own full private baths (one with a tub/shower).

Lower Level: Spacious finished basement, 65" TV, poker table, sectional sofa and foosball table. There is one bedroom with twin beds and a full bath and another "Nantucket" BR with two sets of bunk beds.

Best vacation spot!

We had the best vacation at “The Back Nine.” The house is gorgeous, impeccably clean and was the perfect spot for our family. The location can’t be beat - just a short bike ride to town and to the beach. We had so much fun. Kyle was an extremely gracious and communicative host. We will definitely plan to stay here again and can’t recommend it more highly. A++ all around!

So good you won't want to leave!

We had a wonderful week at the back nine home in June 2022! Our family traveled with another couple and two young children and the house was perfect in every way. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out, multiple seating areas, high quality linens, towels, fully stocked kitchen, and a fenced in backyard with plunge pool! In addition to all of the wonderful amenities, the house was extremely clean and well maintained. It truly checked all of our boxes and then some. Kyle was excellent during the entire process and quick to answer questions both before and during our stay. The house was also in a very convenient location to Surfside beach and quick 5 min drive to downtown. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone considering staying here!

Amazing House and Great Stay

The perfect house for a weekend with friends. A beautiful home with everything we needed and more, including a fantastic back yard and patio and a great location close to downtown and the beach. Kyle was helpful and easy to communicate with. We hope to visit again next season and for many years to come. Thank you Kyle!

Amazing house and fantastic stay!

Really loved our stay at "Back Nine". Beautiful home and they seemingly thought of everything you'd want to have while on vacation. Close enough to town and an easy 8 min bike ride to Surfside beach. Check-in and Check-out were a breeze and Kyle (our host) was very responsive. We can't wait to come back next year!!

We love Nantucket and had rented all over the island. We rented in the Beach Plum community and fell in love and bought Back Nine shortly thereafter. It is truly a perfect location and set up. Great for families or couples looking to get away.
