All wheel drive vehicles , winter tires and chains as a backup is must during the winter months November- March ! Inside the Slatyfork Farm Community or Snowshoe and refunds won't be processed if your vehicle can not make it to the house.
A Mountain Retreat is located in the private mountain community of Slatyfork Farm. This upscale mountain home has three bedrooms plus loft, three bathrooms and bonus living area! The heated garage along with hot tub, gym, deck and an upgraded kitchen makes. A Mountain Retreat the ''Perfect Mountain Getaway', ideal for up 16 persons
Amazing rustic/modern mountain house , located just 15min from SnowShoe , however this house it's not perfect just for a winter getaway ,around we have amazing hiking trails, bike trails and hunting grounds.
The House has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, with 2 living rooms as well where you can use additional sleeper sofas, the kitchen is fully equipped and the front porch is perfect for relaxing at any time of the year. You can enjoy in HotTub and use the gym as well.

great place to stay

The Mountain Retreat was a great place for my fall hiking/biking/leaf peeping trip. Lots of birds, squirrels, chipmunks and deer in the community. The house was very clean. The community was very quiet. Only knew that vehicles were driving to other homes in the area because of the crunching gravel. When I come back to this area again will definitely stay here again if the Mountain Retreat is available. Didn't make s'mores but did enjoy the supplied graham crackers. Even though there was no snow, did need to put my truck into 4-wheel drive because of the loose gravel on some place where the road was pretty steep. The only disappointing thing about the retreat, and it's a very minor disappointment, was the garage door wouldn't stay up so that I could enjoy nature while using the gym equipment.

Wonderful place

Wonderful place. Would definitely stay again. Just a few minor things needs taken care of. I thought with the way the pictures were saying that 2 bedrooms were on same floor but they were not. 1 bedroom per floor. Basement, 1st, and top floor is where each bedroom was. Saw a couple fawn at the property. Very peaceful at top of hill.

We loved our stay in Mountain retreat

We stayed with 3 families including a pet. Gorgeous and clean property, we all enjoyed our stay. Definitely you will need a SUV to drive up the hillside. Night driving can be tricky to the property and pls use GPS guides to get to the property. It’s all worth at the end.

Rode Hard and Put Up Wet

Here are the issues noted: carpets filthy, hall tiles grout missing, upstairs needs mattress pad notable pee stains, stove top greasy, garbage disposal inop with strong odor, missing or inop ceiling lights in dining and living room, lots of food crumbs under couch cushions, propane heater tank empty. House is lovely and well equipped, but needs updating with a deep cleaning.
