This 1880 Victorian farmhouse nestled in the hills of Rockland County features six bedrooms with three newly remodeled bathrooms, a spacious eat in kitchen opening into a den featuring a wood fireplace. The house is landscaped with a semi-inground pool, open firepit, hand crafted stone bar area, and a covered patio designed for entertaining.
This house is perfect for family getaways. I am very interested in supporting West Point personnel and families and provide a 10% military discount.

We had an amazing stay over Christmas! The house was even decorated for the holidays. Highly recommend for a large family or group of friends looking for a great home for entertaining. The large open kitchen, dining room, and living room were perfect!
My son, daughter-in-law and grandkids we able to have a home cooked thanksgiving dinner with us, an aunt and uncle and grandmother. It was a wonderful time!

West Point Get-Together
At first glimpse the house matched the VRBO description. It soon became apparent that most rooms needed attention (broken switches, lights that didn’t work, kitchen and family room furniture in need of replacement, no screens in some bedrooms, dead houseplants…)
The photos definitely don’t show a lot of the repairs the home needs. A lot of broken fixtures and light switches, missing bulbs etc. We thought the place could use a lot of basic repairs but ultimately felt it was suitable to our needs. We felt the checkout instructions were lacking with no real indication for where we were meant to leave the trash and recycling but instructions to “take them out”. I also feel the host could better outline and photograph the amenities in the listing, especially labeling each of the bedrooms. We thought there were 6 bedrooms with beds but the 6th was an attic room with a folding mattress that was very uncomfortable. It’s a beautiful home but it needs some work.
We stayed at this property for a family vacation. The property is beautiful!! It was very clean with ample supplies like kitchen items, towels for the bathroom as well as towels for the pool. The owner thought of everything! Thank you!
Two families had a great stay celebrating Ring Weekend with their West Point Cadets. Spacious, clean, and convenient, the home contributed greatly to a wonderful weekend.
House is beautiful and quirky like an old home is. Beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The house was clean with the exception of a tray of cooked food which was left in the oven. I was also promised a 10% military discount which I never got.
The whole house was clean, true to the listing, and the host was responsive. The kitchen had everything we needed and more, the individual air conditioners in the rooms upstairs and one in the living room/kitchen kept us cool in a heat wave, and the pool was large enough for a group.
Our group ranged in age from 1-80 and everyone enjoyed hanging at the pool and visiting Stony Point Battlefield Park. It was literally 5 minutes away and entertaining for all. The house was well equipped and the host responsive. We would definitely return!
This house and its location were perfect for our short two night stay. The drive was mere minutes to West Point, the house is beautiful, we had ample beds and bathrooms, and Sheila was super flexible in our early arrival. Could not be happier.
Having lived in that beautiful house for 25 years we were very grateful that it was available to give our family a familiar home base for my sons wedding at Bear Mt. Thank you Sheila for hosting us.
Our group of 12 (7 adults and 5 young kids) stayed at this property during the holiday season. It was a great fit! It had plenty of space for gathering, separate rooms for when you needed some space, and bedding for all. The large kitchen was great for family cooking. One shower was not usable during our stay. However, all guests were able to manage with one. The breweries nearby were a hit. We appreciated the attention to holiday decor which helped our trip away from home feel festive!
We had an amazing stay at this beautiful and gigantic home. We loved the open kitchen and living room, fireplace, outdoor area, plentiful bedrooms, and charm of this home. The check in process was easy and communication was excellent. There's even a pool for summer months. We highly recommend staying in this home!
We enjoyed the home immensely. Large enough for us to move around to cook. A larger table would be beneficial and folding chairs as well but we made do with what we had. The fireplaces was great and the fact Shelia decorated for Christmas was such a great touch. Only one shower was functional which was a challenge with 11 people hopefully it will be fixed prior to the next group. We would rent again for sure. Thank you again. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
