Hickory Point sits on one of the most beautiful lots on Smith Mountain Lake. The large yard is suited for picnics, croquet, corn hole, horseshoes, relaxation, and evenings around the fire pit. The property allows for beautiful views of the morning sunrise and the evening sunset. Six bedrooms, four and one half baths provide privacy in the large house. On the upper level sits a full kitchen with a connecting dining area and living room. The outside deck on this level is a great place to eat meals or relax for a while. The main level centers around four bedrooms and two full baths. The master bedroom includes a king size bed with a full bathroom. Other bedrooms on the main level include king, queen, and 2 twin beds. Another full bath centers around these 3 bedrooms. The lower level features another full kitchen with a large family room area. Meals can be eaten in the indoor dining area or on a porch overlooking the lake. A queen bedroom with full bath and a kids bedroom with four twins sit on the lower level. An overflow sleeping area with a full bed and two twins is an added feature. Laundry utility room and another full bath are on the lower level. New high speed WiFi internet along with 3 cable TVs are included in the house. 2 kayaks, corn hole, croquet set, outdoor grill, and tennis court with basketball goal are available for use at you own risk.

Wonderful, homey lake house!

We enjoyed our stay so much. The area is beautiful and the house is large, but cozy. Lots of room to spread out, which was great, but the house has three levels, so would not be good for anyone who doesn’t want to walk up and down stairs often. The view is incredible with about 220 degrees of shoreline. We built a fire one night and even took the kayaks out on a sunny day in late November. Heavenly! Also, we brought a pickleball net and set it up on the tennis court which was just down the street from the house. Very fun! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend Thanksgiving with a family of 11 adults.

Great house

The location and property is really awesome with a nice amount of grassy area. House is very nice and big, two kitchens is nice for a bigger group. Kitchens are well equipped to with everything needed for cooking. Had been here under a different friends reservation before and would come back again.

Beautiful Lakefront Property

The location of this property is amazing - located on a peninsula at the end of a private road. The dock has a covered area where we hung out while the kids played in the water. There is a fire pit right on the point on the peninsula. We cooked over the fire 2 different nights during our stay. It was very quiet and restful there too.

The location of the property is amazing .... this is not an over the top property but is feels like home and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Will be going back.

A week at Smith Mountain Lake

We have rented several different homes at the lake over the years and this was hands down the best. Plenty of room, reasonably flat lot and the house design is very interesting (2 kitchens, lots of deck space, bedroom layout). The dock left a little bit to be desired but it worked well for our boat and 2 SeaDoos. Overall it is an outstanding home, full of character and super clean. Five stars for sure!
