We loved it here! We had a group of 18 people ranging in age from 4 - 69. Plenty of room for everyone. Loved the deck and fishing from the dock. Lots of fish to catch and release as well! We will be back next year :)

Huge house, plenty of bedrooms. The great hall has a big bar with lots of seating. Spent evenings out on the deck around the fire table. There were quite a few decorations and wall hangings missing that were in the listing photos which distracted a bit. We may be back next year.

Pro's and Con's
The house itself and location were beautiful and perfect for a big family vacation. However, when we got to the house, several parts were really dirty so just make sure to take pictures when you get there so you can let them know. They ended up sending a cleaning person while we were there to take care of the issues, so I did appreciate that. It does say the older part of the house isn't air conditioned so we knew that. But the air conditioned part was still really hot and the air didn't work well. So make sure to bring fans.

Awesome week stay by my family. Check in was easy/able to check in early. So much room it didn’t feel like we on top of each other. The bar and gaming room was a great space to gather for family dinners and evening games. A long folding table and chairs in the garage allowed us to all sit down together for meals. The kitchen was stocked with about everything you would need to cook/serve with (waffle maker, griddle, air fryer, microwave, coffee pot, utensils, plates, pots and pans). Tons of towels, great supply of paper towels, multiple fridges, freezers, trash bags, dish soap. Large ice maker in the bar was awesome. The grill in the enclosed screen room doesn’t work but had access to a great Weber grill in the garage. Fire pit on the huge deck with probably 10 gravity chairs with end tables (a couple need replaced). You will need a grill lighter to start the fire pit. The grill and fire pit were out of propane but after a call 4 tanks were delivered the next day. Ample beds for everyone with bathroom for each. The master suite was extremely large with huge walk-in closets. The older part of the house has window unit air conditioning that was functional/newer part has central air. The lake view from the deck served as our tv for morning coffee. Lake has small bass and bluegills for fishing. We brought our paddle boards but the house provided a canoe, 4 kayaks, and a paddle boat (steering mech broken/use paddles). No access to hot tub. 2 washer/dryers (great)

A week with family in the Northwoods
My family of 15 spent a great week on this property in July 2025. With such a large group, the size of the house afforded us the opportunity to gather as an entire group (dinners, games, etc) but also space to get away when needed. The bar/lodge space was amazing…fully furnished with glassware, ice maker, etc. with the portable table and chairs in the garage, we were able to all eat together. I’m sure a lot of memories were made in the basement by the 6 grandkids (3 beds and their own bathroom). Kitchen was furnished with necessary items, microwave, toaster, waffle maker, air fryer, pots and pans, dishes, dishwasher, etc. gas grill and fire pit provided. A canoe, paddle boat and 4 kayaks were available for use. Small bass and blue hill in the lake…we had fun on the water on our paddle boards (additional life vests were provided). The master suite was amazing (has its own washer/dryer). Addition washer and dryer in the basement. Spent every morning drinking coffee on the deck. We arranged for a photographer to take family pictures …so many good spots for pictures outdoors. The new part of the house is on central air conditioning and the old part of the house has window units…never felt warm. Plenty of towels provided in all bathrooms. Wi-Fi worked well as we needed to login in for our personal streaming services. Plenty to do in the area…we enjoyed show shoe softball, ski shows, lumberjack show, hanging out at all the various lakes, putt putting, etc. minor issues with propane and minor broken items but all were notes or taken care of by the management. It was great being able to check in early as well
All in all, a great week spent in the woods of upstate Wisconsin. (Remember your mosquito spray…it’s the woods …wink wink)

Awesome home for large groups
Lots of goodness with this home! We had 14 family members and we didn’t feel on top of each other for the week. The large “party room” with pool table and bar was absolutely amazing! We spent a lot of time together in here and had tons of room and chairs for everyone to sit. We brought tons of games to play but discovered there was a good amount already provided in the bar area, which was cool too. The kayaks were a hit for the pond and the bag boards provided hosted a bags tournament one day. Plenty of room for parking and still being able to play bags in the driveway.
Kitchen was a bit on the small side for all our chefs, but we made it work. Fully stocked kitchen was nice. Oven was a little tricky just bc of the small size. Pot holders should definitely be added to the home.
The back deck overlooking the pond was enormous and had tons of nice anti-gravity chairs for everyone! The two person swing was also a hit for many.
The propane fire pit was okay. We would’ve preferred an actual wood burning pit to sit around to tell stories.
All around great place to stay, just needs a few upgrades. Thank you for sharing your home with us, we enjoyed our week!
This property was a fantastic space for our family vacation as it allowed separate areas for our grandkids and kids. The great room was perfect for the older, late night folks to play pool, throw darts, turn up music and have fun without interrupting sleep schedules of our littles. The “bar” area is fully stocked with glassware, bar coolers and an ice maker so no need to go into the kitchen for anything. The kitchen is fully stocked: crockpots, rice cooker, dishes galore, and cooking utensils. No need to bring anything with you as they have it all! There is an oven in the porch area as well as a grill outside on the deck so a lot of cooking can be done outside of the house. The deck is HUGE and we found ourselves reading outside, listening to nature, or sitting out by the propane fire pit for a night cap. Kayaks and a paddle boat were available to use as well. As the listing states, central AC isn’t offered inside the entire home; we did bring fans up to help cool the house but there were multiple AC units as well. We had activities planned in Minocqua & Rhinelander throughout the week and it was very easy to “get into town” from the property. We loved it here - if you’re looking for a vacation home that can entertain a large group and also provide separate areas (napping grandparents / grandkids) without interruption- this is the place. We will definitely be back.
The house was great. Plenty of room and had everything you would need to have a nice stay. The only complaint we had was that the basement was hot and warm. The weather was in the 70’s so we couldn’t figure out why the basement got so warm. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay here.

A lot of space but has some issues.
I would give it 3.5 stars if that were possible.
The A/C is a problem in warm weather (80+). One of the 2nd floor bedrooms is unusable if it's real hot. The 1st floor bedroom near the dining room has a large, noisy A/C unit on the floor that ducts to the window. The master bedroom is very cold because the thermostat is in a different room.
The water for the house is of poor quality. It is yellow, smells and tastes bad. Can't do laundry because it would turn everything yellow and smelly.
The lake has no fish. None! Consequently, there are no eagles, otters or other wildlife that eat fish. The lake is a dark tea color that stains clothing. You can not swim in the lake. There are frogs, turtles, deer and an occasional snake all around the house.
The large deck is nice with beautiful lake views. We enjoyed the dock and kayaks. The great room with the pool table and bar was nice for indoor activities or just hanging out. Internet access was good and available throughout most of the house.
We had a wonderful week at the house and enjoyed what it had to offer. If the weather is cooler and you don't want to fish, this property could be a very good choice.

Gary, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your stay! To clarify, this home only has partial A/C; the bar area and master suite have central A/C, however the upstairs bedrooms in the original part of the house do not. We do have a lot of iron and minerals in our water, which causes a strong odor as well as iron stains that can look similar to rust stains. We are happy to note that there is a scheduled update to the water filtration system, which we hope improves or eliminates these issues. We appreciate you letting us know there is room for improvement and we hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!
We had a great time. The deck was a great place to sit and relax. We ate almost every meal out there. The bar room was a lot of fun. We really enjoyed watching the Bucks clinch the Eastern Conference Finals in the that area.
This location is A for privacy and an A in every other category too. Our group couldn't have had more fun in a house that will not be soon forgotten. Tons of space and amenities for a group.

Great Place for Large Group Gathering
We enjoyed staying here. Very good house and great bar area and very huge entertainment room and nice lake and we enjoyed kayak.
Have couple of complaints though.
1)It was very hot outside when we rented, AC was not good in the Entertainment room and bedrooms and there is no AC or fan in one of the bedrooms, we had to call vacasa next day to fix the AC and maintenance came in the evening and got one pedastal fan and they cleared the AC vents, and little better in the bedrooms after that, it would have been great if we had couple of pedastal fans in the bar room. And the bar coolers are not working.
2) Wifi, It is near the kitchen area and we cant get the signal if we go to the bedrooms and patio and even some times in the bar area, It would have been great if we had wifi extenders.
Only we have issues with AC and WIFI other than that we had great time here.

Love everything about the house and lake. So quiet and secluded. The whole family enjoyed it. Would rent it again.
This house is amazing! Plenty of room for everyone. Everything g we needed was provided. With extreme cold temps while we were there the house made our vacation.
