No A/C, the natural trade winds coming off the ocean will keep you cool and refreshed. You will love listening to the waves of the ocean at night. Mi Casa Del Mar has a 2 level infinity pool - gorgeous & is a wonderfully private complex between Half Moon Bay and Akumal Bay in Akumal.

Here the fresh air is intoxicating, and gentle trade winds blowing in from the Caribbean are so refreshing. Enjoy outdoor dining and delicious fresh food in our favorite open-air restaurants, most just a short walk away.
Leave your worries behind; our rental properties have always offered the standards of cleanliness (e.g. daily maid service) the rest of the world is now needing to emulate. In addition, strictly enforced quarantines all of April and May have helped Akumal be spared of COVID-19, and the locals are still being extra conscientious. No stress either, as we offer unique flexibility right now for our travelers during these hard-to-predict times. We welcome your upcoming visit to Akumal and know you will love this quiet, tidy, uncrowded slice of paradise!

Guests will bask in the striking large terrace, which offers clients the most amazing view of the Caribbean Sea ... At night you can see stars, the reflective moon and the lights of the island of Cozumel far across the sea. During the day you can enjoy the spacious shared infinity pool or take a 10-minute walk to the Akumal Bay to swim with turtles, or, a 10 min walk to Half Moon Bay to eat, shop, or snorkel in. It's just a 15 min walk to Yal Ku Lagoon for an unforgettable snorkel adventure with rich jungle landscapes and colorful sea creatures!

Guest access
This condo includes plenty of towels, sheets, purified water, and plenty of accessories for cooking meals as well as WIFI access to the Internet. Mi Casa Del Mar uniquely offers 24/7 staff on-site - a wonderful comfort when traveling abroad. This condo uses LED lighting, and offers healthy ceramic cookware - special touches good for this beautiful world we live in, and the guests too!

Other things to note
Keeping eco-friendly, this is the only condo in the complex which uses the fresh trade winds to cool the unit vs the chemicals of air conditioning. Fall asleep to the lull of the waves breaking outside. Our ecology-minded guests always find this unit gets plenty of crosswinds to stay fresh and cool even in the warmer summer months and enjoy the added price break as well. Additionally, A6 only has maid service every other day Monday - Saturday, another thing good for Mother Earth, and again, adds great savings on the rental rate for the conscientious guest. There are some small sandy areas on the rocky coastline below the pool and even an inlet to the sea on calm tide days. Please note that there are no pets and no smoking or BBQs allowed. The building has wifi, but due to the concrete walls, signal strength can be weak in places. The lobby has a good signal, sometimes the terraces and each unit has a hot spot or two. The staff can guide you to the hot spots.

Great location, great staff, fantastic vacation!

Graciella and the onsite manager took such great care of us, filtered water delivered, cleaning every other day with fresh towels and sheets. The best was the amazing balcony patio overlooking the ocean--and great pool too. The only downside was that the pool closed early (8pm). Overall we loved our stay and hope to be back soon!

Mi Casa Del Mar A6

Lovely location. Wonderful pool. Check in process was easy. Seth and Sibley were easy to communicate with and responsive to any question or concern. Quite spacious and clean. The large open doors on the deck helped to cool the place down. But did get a little damp on wetter days with the ocean spray getting blown in. Even on those days with the deck doors closed, the ceiling fans kept the place cool. Would stay again.

Lovely ocean property

We loved our stay at Mi Casa del Mar. We did arrive a little early and couldn't find someone initially, but not too long later he found us. The property is exactly as pictured, the giant windows and the ocean view are breathtaking. We were there in November and the temperatures were perfect, there are fans in each room and a breeze off the ocean. It was a perfect location for us and 2 kids, though expect about a 5-10 minute walk in either direction for restaurants, the general store, or sandy beach. We had a rental car and had no problems parking at the condo, and using it to go to Yal-Ku lagoon or the Monkey Sanctuary or Tulum. Highly recommend the place and the host, we hope to return another time in the future!

Akumal disappointment…requesting monetary compensation

As a premier host myself..I am very conscious of giving my guests optimum enjoyment of the space. The location and view were exquisite..staff very helpful with luggage and cleaning..however..the problems started immediately with trying to access internet..the owner did respond and told us to unplug a few things and that helped..but we were sent to several different locations for service…it bounced us around for most of the trip..being flipped off one to another..and service was so spotty…the previous stay in akumal down the street the previous 2 weeks was excellent…starlink… The tile floors were a nightmare…as the breeze kept moisture on them day and night..a definite lawsuit ready to happen…owner needs to invest in runners so someone does not take a tumble…very dangerous… The next problem was the plumbing…from checking until Thursday we had only one toilet..it would only flush liquid..but not solids..it took the cleaning lady..my husband..a maintenance person..and finally a plumber showed up on Thursday…this are elementary expectations…to have 2 working toilets…internet working..if you say you have it.. I asked if they had a toaster and received no response..lastly…we could not find the sound on the tv..so we did not have access to tv..or Netflix the entire Week…rental agency could not give me information..said ask the cleaning lady who had no clue …communication was lacking..and no real concern about rectifying the situation… I would appreciate your assisting …kat

Picturesque Villa

This property was a total win. The decorating, the attention to detail, the cleanliness, the filtered water delivery, it was so easy to have a wonderful vacation. The beds were very comfortable. I did take and use all the pillows off the other bed since it was just the two of us, so there aren't extra if you have a lot of people. The floors were clean for walking barefoot. There are screens on all the windows and the ceiling fans in all the rooms are powerful. There was also a stand up fan in the bedroom that was great too. Big closets to hang your clothes and plenty of hangers. Two hairdryers were present. Plenty of dishes. Full refrigerator and freezer with ice trays. Coffee maker and coffee were there. I would stay here every time, it was absolutely wonderful for it six night stay. Iguanas were neat in the yard.

Peace and quiet

The pictures were exactly what the place looked like. It was quiet and peaceful. The beds were soooo comfortable. Close to everything. Everything is walking distance, although you can easily rent a golf cart. There are several places that rent carts. There was an issue with the plumbing. One toilet would suddenly start running and I had to turn off the water to it to stop it. Just for about an hour. The other bathroom had a constant leak in the shower. The water pressure was excellent. Beautiful views. I would stay there again and again.
