About the host
Your host
I fell in love with Hilton Head at first sight almost 30 years ago, and have been blessed to live here for the past ten. A native Carolinian, with family close by, I travel for seasonal work as an Equine veterinary assistant on a racehorse farm each year and offer my condo for a snowbird getaway during my months away. I'm also a bit of an adventuress and have availability from time to time depending on my spontaneous travels. During the Autumn I sometimes offer the guest bedroom for a month to month stay for travelling professionals to share the condo with me.
Why they chose this property
Solo sojourners will love this hidden gem. A short walk to Alder Lane, one of only seven public beach accesses on the island, takes you past the Marriott Grande Ocean, providing use of showers, restroom facilities, and the Loggerhead Landing beach bar and grill, with live music, and firepits on the cool evenings. Beach chairs and umbrellas may be rented from the lifeguard stand.
For evenings at home, curl up with your choice from well stocked bookshelves, DVD collection, or TV streaming package. A variety of restaurants within an easy walk or bike riding distance await at Coligny Plaza, or call ahead for carry out, or cook out on your choice of charcoal or gas grills at the condo. By day, venture down to South Beach or Palmetto Bay Marina for a fishing excursion or Dolphin tour. Or just watch the dolphins make their appearances at low tide on your regular beach walk.
