Wonderful rustic retreat

Amazing location, lovely host

We had a wonderful time at Casa Chameleon. Playa Grande was a wonderful little community with great restaurants, live music and a beautiful beach. Sharr was very helpful and attentive; we will definitely try to stay at one of her properties again.

Quiet Escape in Paradise

We enjoyed our time in Casa Camaleón and were very comfortable here! The host was very kind and easy to communicate with. Peaceful location that is within walking distance to the beach and restaurants.

Another stay in paradise

We have stayed at casa camaleon several times over the years. Always clean with cold a/c. Everything you need and nothing you don't. Lounge in the hammock on your patio with coffee, then trek 5 minutes down to the beach for a sun and surf session or over to cafe mar azul for a tropical fruit smoothie and banana bread ice cream sandwich. Sharr is a great host- efficient communication and source of local information- and if you need any rental items like bikes, boards, beach chairs, etc - just ask!

Little Oasis!

This two-bedroom space was ideal for the three of us. A clean, very well cared for property. Lots of nice touches including a laundry sink and clothes line right outside the back door, plenty of towels, original art, a small grill and a small, but efficient kitchen. We didn’t rent a car, so we walked everywhere—no complaints. A neighboring guest pointed out a “hidden path” to the water taxis when we wanted to go to Tamarindo for the Saturday morning market.

L’annonce mentionnait Laverie automatique. Les autres annonces mentionnant ceci avaient à la disposition des locataires une laveuse sur place que l’on pouvait utiliser nous-même. Pour le reste l’endroit était super. Nous avons aimé notre séjour.

Hébergement idéal pour une petite famille! La cuisinette permet de prendre quelques repas maisons, la division des chambres donne un peu d’intimité. Cependant, les drains sont tous connectés et il y a des refoulements dans la douche.

Bien situé

Nous avons séjourné a la casa Camaleon durant 6 jours. La propriété est bien situé a quelques pas de la plage, idéal pour surfer. Palm Beach est un endroit agréable avec quelques restaurants tout près. Notre appartement était propre et modeste, avec un équipement de base. A noter que vous avez accès y a une piscine très jolie mais elle est situé dans un autre hotel situé environ a 800 mètre.

Too many huge spiders inside the property

We had to leave our stay early due to there being too many spiders we killed a total of 5 huge spiders and our daughter Is allergic to them. Location was hard to find also.

Thank you for your feedback Karina. Yes, if the doors are left open it can allow various insects to come inside, especially since we are in the middle of a National Park with such a jungle setting. If you had mentioned your daughter being highly allergic I would have suggested an alternate location as we are amongst abundant all kinds of tropical life. We do spray regularly with an organic spray but nature is will still always at our doors which is the beauty of the location. Additionally we were never able to reach you after numerous attempts to send you both the checkin instructions and easy map link for driving directions. There are no street signs in Costa Rica but with our map link it is easy. It would have been helpful if we had had some sort of responses from you before and during your stay to have made things smoother for you and us as hosts.
